Chapter 45: Who's Jodi?
*Nigel’s POV*
I loved watching Sophie sleep. Even in her sleep, she exuded a peaceful presence.
She’d been through hell and back, and I vowed she would never have to worry about being threatened again. After last night's fiasco, I had Frank contact some of his retired friends from the CIA and offered them better benefits than what the government gave them to be Sophie's bodyguards.
Sophie told me it wasn't necessary, but I told her if I couldn't keep my eyes on her, I would make sure someone always would.
I stroked her soft wavy red hair as she cuffed the pillow and snored. We had landed in Switzerland nearly an hour ago. Of course, I had to pull a lot of strings to get us here overnight, but there are many perks to being a billionaire, and having the money to make things happen quickly was one of those perks.
