Chapter 35: New Beginnings & Old Enemies

*Sophie’s POV*

"How do I look?" I asked Addy, staring at my reflection in the mirror for the one hundredth time.

"I think you look great, and you're going to do fantastic. Stop stressing."

"I just want to make a good impression. I need this job, and I don't want Nancy to think I'm not grateful for this opportunity she provided me. I would be eating oodles and noodles without her help."

"You know I'd never let you go without eating."

I looked in the mirror and took a deep breath.

'Ok. You can do this, Sophie,’ I whispered, giving myself a quick pep talk.

Thankfully, Nancy's contact called me for an interview as a podcast host. I don't know what the topics will be, but I'll talk about anything at this point. I'm just happy to be working again.

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a cereal bar.

"You need a hearty breakfast for your interview."

"No time,” I noted. I grabbed my keys off the counter and walked to the door.

"Wish me luck." I winked.

“Good luck!”
