Chapter 32: The Truth

*Nigel’s POV*

I've always wondered if a person could get rid of their bad habits for good; this question weighed heavy on my heart, given what I was preparing myself for. I stared at my reflection in the mirror and straightened my gold and black bow tie.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes when my phone happened to vibrate.

‘Please let it be Sophie,’ I begged to the air. ‘Maybe she can stop me before I break her heart too.'

I opened my eyes and grabbed my phone, only to see a text from Richard.

Richard: I'm five minutes away. Are you ready?
