*Sophie’s POV*
Last night was amazing. It would have been perfect had Aunt Janet not texted and called me all night. After her getting her final text stating I needed to come home right away, I would have continued to avoid her persistent attempts to reach me.
Four hours and three minutes. That is how long the drive is from Miami to Key West, my home. Four hours and three minutes of trying not to relive the pain of growing up in a toxic environment. It had been two years since I had been home.
105 Cherry Lane isn't my home. It's the location where I resided until I was an adult and could get out of there. The only thing I enjoyed about growing up in Key West was being surrounded by water. My brother Jake and I used to swim with my dad all the time.
