Chapter 4

While Mark and Tom were going into the woods, a phone call came from Mark, and it was Frank who called. Mark said to him: Hello, Frank. Frank said to him: Hello, Mr. Mark. I've received reports that you entered the home of a resident of the neighborhood near Forest. So what happened? Mark said to him: So I am being watched, Frank. It is true that you are watching my every move. Frank said to him: You should thank me for this. No one will save you if anything happens to you in all the missions and dangerous places you go except us, so what's the news so far? Mark said to him: Everything is going as it should. I spoke with a resident of the neighborhood who has lived here for more than 30 years and he told me that the source of the strange sounds that the neighborhood residents hear from the forest is because of an unknown creature that lives in that forest and is the one causing all this terror. This man described to me that he was very thin, with very long arms and legs, and his eyes were completely white and without any hair. Frank said to him: Well done, Mr. Mark. I congratulate you on the details you have come up with, which we have not known for many years. So now you and your assistant Tom return to the headquarters. We will contact the city officials until all the houses adjacent to that forest are evacuated so that nothing bad happens to them. Mark said to him: Who said the mission is over? Tom and I will go ourselves to the forest and investigate the matter and try to put an end to that creature. It is not the fault of the residents of the neighborhood that they abandon their homes because of that creature.

Frank said to him: I told you before, Mr. Mark, do not delve into the matter any further, so that you do not get into trouble and end up in a dark grave, so return immediately by order of Mr. Martin. Mark said to him: Mr. Martin told me not to come back until I finish the work, and I have not finished yet. I will come back when I actually finish. Frank said to him: Listen, Mr. Mark, if you and Tom do not return to headquarters within an hour, consider yourselves fired from your jobs. Good-bye. Frank hung up the phone after what he told Mark, and Tom said to Mark: So we'll be back, right, buddy? Mark said to him: No, we will go to the forest and explore it all, and we will not leave a single space empty. Tom said to him: Are you crazy, buddy? Do you want us to go into the forest with this terrifying creature? Didn't you hear his terrifying voice and see how the old man described it to us?! Mark said to him: If you want to leave, Tom, then go, but if you leave, I will be the one to kick you out, not Mr. Martin. And then Mark went into the woods and Tom said: Damn, buddy, you're totally crazy. They actually entered the forest and explored it, and while they were walking, Mark heard the sound of footsteps directly behind them, so he quickly turned back, but did not find anyone. Tom said to him: What's the matter, buddy? Mark said to him: There is someone watching us and following us. I heard the sound of footsteps behind us. Tom said in fear: It's the creature, I'm leaving here, goodbye. Mark said to him: Wait a minute, do not move from your place, Tom, no matter what happens. Tom said to him: What is there?! Suddenly, Mark took the gun out of his pocket and fired, causing the strange creature to fall to the ground, hit by the bullets. Tom looked surprised at that creature and said: What the hell is this thing!? 😱 Mark said to him: It is the same creature that that old man described to us, but I am sure there are more because the sounds were more like a group screaming at the same time. Tom said to him: They will kill us, buddy, after what their friend did to me. Mark said to him: From here the game begins, the game of infiltration and escape. It seems that the horror has already begun in the novel, so I wonder what will happen next.
