50 Chapter 50 Invention and sister?

As soon as Paige entered her room, I headed for the garage. Inside the garage, there was a coffee table and some tools on the wall.

Ever since I was reborn in this world, I've been thinking about the impact I can make on the butterfly effect and if I wanted some things to change, and yes, I wanted some things to be slightly different from before. First, I wanted to advance some technologies for my convenience, and one of the reasons I became a shareholder in Apple was one of those. In the future, I plan to take some shares in Tesla to give Elon Musk some ideas. But he's only going to buy Tesla in 2003, so I have a few years to pave the way for myself.

One of those changes I wanted to make is Leonard. Yes, I really couldn't stand Leonard's character anymore. Despite being the most normal of the group, Leonard still goes off the deep end. For example, when he went on the trip on the ship and left Penny and Sheldon for a period of time, he had fun and kissed another woman while he was still in a relationship with Penny.

Although Penny isn't one of the best examples of fidelity, she herself has said that she's taken up with married men and had several other relationships. For me as a conservative, it's a little difficult to accept her promiscuity, but it's not my life, so who am I to judge?

But since I have the opportunity to forge a better character in Leonard, that's what I'll do, and for that, I'll need some tools that will help me. For example, Leonard has an asthma problem; when he's very agitated, his asthma attacks, and that fits in with exercise and sex. So I'm going to make a tool that will help me correct this problem while he's exercising. The project came into my head when I saw MMA fighters wearing those training masks that make breathing difficult by simulating a low-oxygen environment and that help them train their lungs for situations that require a higher-than-normal capacity.

And the other item is the spacer. In my other life, I always saw some people using it for sleeping and other purposes. My idea is to put these two together to make a mask that will help Leonard exercise like a normal person.

And so I take a spacer, a training mask, and some filters and start testing. After a few hours, the first prototype was made. It looked like a science fiction mask, and although the functionality had an effect, it was too heavy with the tanks on the back.

So I tried again, replacing the tanks with breathing filters. Even though they had a much smaller time capacity, it was easier to replace the filter than to change an entire tank and carry all the weight.

After I'd finished, I looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was past my bedtime, so I put my things away and went straight up to the second floor via the stairs outside the house.

As soon as I get up to the second floor, I see a figure near my door. It looks like the silhouette of a ghost, but ghosts don't wear sweatshirts with rabbit ears.

It was Paige; she was, for some reason, sleeping on the floor in front of my room. I let out a sigh and then approached her.

The small figure was curled up like a ball armadillo in front of my room, completely oblivious to what was going on around her, and so I gave her a little kick in the ass as I spoke.

"Hey, wake up, hey wake up, hey wake up." Soon her eyelids flutter and her blue eyes show, and the sclera of her eyes is red. This can only indicate a few things, like swelling after crying for a relative long time or conjunctivitis, but I'm leaning more towards the former because soon after realizing my presence, she gets up and hugs me while shaking her shoulders.

For some reason, I think this kind of situation happens often with this girl. Sighing as I stroke her back, I ask, "What's wrong, Paige?" After a long time of inaudible sobs, she answers me.

"It's my mom; she's pregnant and called me to tell me the news, but it seems like she doesn't really care about me because she hasn't seen me in months, and the only time she's kept in touch with me was when I called her to let her know I went to Princeton. Is that really what a mom would do?"

I sigh when this situation happens. Despite being a mother of two daughters, Linda was not one of the best examples of motherhood. Despite trying to keep up with Paige, she was a little sloppy on this point. I must admit her performance during this period, but in the period that followed, she really showed herself to be unnatural. Despite rekindling the relationship with her husband, this only reaffirmed to Paige that she was the problem of their divorce to the point of them having another child.

The family is considered the basic social institution from which all others develop; having a broken family ends up affecting every other aspect of a person's life.

And having experienced all this at once, it's natural for her to have a breakdown, so much so that in the original series, Paige ends up having a rebellious phase during her adolescence, what happens to her afterwards wasn't shown in the series, but I assume it went from bad to worse, because in the original series, Paige isn't even mentioned, perhaps it was because Sheldon was terrified of people younger and smarter than him, as in the case of Dennis Kim, a 15-year-old child who fled North Korea and came to Caltech for his doctorate, which ended up with Sheldon Leonard and Wolowitz paying a visit to his parents at work, where Kim lost his focus and was seduced by some girls his own age, causing him to be expelled from Caltech, despite being a Genius just like Paige, who surpassed Sheldon.

"Do you want to sleep with me tonight?" I ask Paige, who immediately nods in confirmation. As it's a new house, there are plenty of empty rooms, so not having to sleep in a tent makes me happy.

As soon as I open the door and enter the room with Paige following me, I lie down on the bed while being hugged by her, kissing her forehead.

"You don't have to worry about that; although the family is a small society, it's not the only one; the Coopers can be considered a family by you too; we all like you; there's no need to be so sad; you're far away; you'll live your own life from now on; you'll graduate; you'll get a job; and I promise I won't abandon you." My persuasion seems to have worked because she stopped crying, pulled away a little from my embrace, and looked me in the eye as she spoke.

"So that means you've accepted me, since you won't leave me," she said while sniffling, and I replied.

"Stop being silly; I told you before, didn't I? "I'm going to stay by your side until I fully decide that you're the right person for me, and I must say that you're heading in the right direction. Keep going in that direction, and soon you'll have my complete trust."

I couldn't help but see Paige's disappointed expression, but she soon recovers when she thinks about the future that awaits her and looks at me and says,

"It's okay, I can wait; there's no need to rush after all; we're still children," she says with conviction, and I say

"You know, sometimes I think you really do your best to have an excuse to sleep with me, but just this once, I forgive you." I'm greeted with a giggle before everything falls completely silent to the symphony of Paige's soft breathing.

"Not even a good night; what a rude person," I say as I complain before closing my eyes and going to sleep, waiting for tomorrow. torture Leonard
