34 Chapter 34 Escape Plan

Mary stayed at the hospital to accompany her husband. At this moment, she was sitting beside her husband, holding his hand and hoping he would wake up soon.

At the Cooper's house, Meemaw was taking care of things, after all, there are five children.

In the garage, five children were gathered.

"So who's going to help me go to Daddy?"

Soon Missy, Paige, and I raised our hands. Sheldon, seeing the situation, said, "Paige, I thought you were smarter than this. Mom told us to stay home and wait for news, that's why she put Meemaw in charge of us. Doing this is going against her trust in us."

I shook my head in denial. "Sheldon, there's your mistake. Mary didn't ask Meemaw to babysit us; otherwise, she would have asked me. She asked her to watch us so we wouldn't mess up."

Sheldon retorted, "But that's exactly what we're doing. Look, enough of this. I'm going to tell Meemaw." As soon as Sheldon said this, he got up and hurried towards the door.

At that moment, Sheldon only felt a tug and then was dragged back to the ground. Sheldon looked in the direction of what had caught him and saw Connor with a rope around his waist and arms, pulling him.

"Meemaw, help, Meemaw!" At that moment, we could see Missy quickly getting up and putting tape over Sheldon's mouth.

"Wow, you guys have great synchrony," exclaimed Paige, amazed by the coordination between me and Missy in tying up Sheldon.

"Well, it's not the first time this has happened," I said as I tied Sheldon to a wooden chair with the rope I had thrown at him.

"And then we'll review the plan," Not caring about what happened to Sheldon, Georgie continued talking about his plan.

"Mom went to the hospital with George's car, leaving only Dad's motorcycle or Meemaw's car. But since Missy disappeared, Mom hides the keys to the motorcycle. What's left is only Grandma's car, which complicates our situation. At this moment, I saw Grandma carrying the key back and forth inside the house."

"Which means we need to somehow incapacitate Meemaw to get the key, or take the keys during a moment of distraction," said Paige.

"Nothing so extreme, although your words have some truth, Paige. We somehow have to incapacitate Meemaw, because if she's awake, we won't be able to leave the house and go to the hospital. So I propose we insinuate for her to drink, putting various expensive drinks within her reach, like whiskey, wine, etc."

"It's a good idea, but where will we get these drinks? None of us are old enough to buy alcoholic beverages," Georgie raised the issue.

"Hehe, you underestimate me. Do you think I'm a novice?" Immediately after that statement, I took the tape Missy used to cover Sheldon's mouth and used it to blindfold him.

Then I went towards Mike, who was sleeping. "Good morning, big guy, could you move?" I whispered to Mike (´・ω・`), who quickly got up and went to sleep in another corner. And then, removing Mike's little house revealed a compartment on the floor like a mini-basement.

Opening it revealed nothing, yes, there was nothing inside; everything inside went into the system when the tornado started, but due to the angle, they had no idea what was inside.

So I pretended to grab three bottles of whiskey, a white wine, and a red wine. "Well, that's all I have in my stock," I said presumptuously, and for some reason, I was met with strange questioning looks from everyone.

"Coff Coff, now that we have the essentials, it's time to put the plan into action."

"First, we have to put Sheldon in his bed, since it's his bedtime. Both Shelly and Missy have to pretend they're asleep in bed when Meemaw checks."

After Georgie and Paige distracted Meemaw with questions and advice on Meemaw's love life, I managed to put Shelly in bed. He still couldn't move, but he was still struggling. So without anyone noticing, I punched him in the jaw to knock him out on the bed. Satisfactory to say the least.

Taking advantage of the fact that I left Missy in the room dealing with Shelly, I went to random and slightly hidden rooms and placed some expensive bottles, then I went towards Meemaw, Paige, and Georgie, who were talking. Paige's face was red, while Georgie's had a disgusted look, it seemed they had a great conversation.

"Hi guys, I just put Shelly and Missy to bed; it's time for us to go too."

At this moment, Meemaw checked the time and confirmed that it was indeed time to put the kids to bed, something she neglected because she was talking.

"Thank you, Connor, you really are the most reliable," she said, giving me a meaningful smile.

I nodded in confirmation with her words and turned to Paige, saying, "Let's go to bed?" and received a slightly shy "Uh-huh" from her, but she quickly regained her composure with a smile.

In a place where we couldn't see, Meemaw was watching this scene with a mischievous smile, having understood something, and then she spoke.

"Georgie, go to bed too. Let's not cause trouble for Connor, or maybe you want him to put you to bed too?"

"But, I wanted to watch TV while Mom isn't here," Georgie said with genuine indignation.

"Don't think I don't know what you want to watch; I just don't want you coming crying to me to sleep with you because you're scared, like back then," Meemaw said, with longing in her voice.

"I'm not a kid anymore!! Forget it, I didn't want to watch anyway," Georgie said as he walked to his room, pouting.

In the garage.

"Do you think she'll notice?" Paige asked worriedly.

"Of course she will. Unlike Mary, she knew how to enjoy life; this kind of trick won't work against her."

"But why..." before Paige could complete her question, I added, "She might notice, but who says she cares? especially with high-quality drinks at stake."

"Ah," Paige said as if she understood something.

After two hours, we left the garage and divided the tasks. Paige would wake up Georgie and Missy, while I grabbed the car keys.

In the living room, Meemaw "could smell alcohol in the air"; drinks were on the coffee table with some whiskey glasses.

I approached Meemaw and took the keys from her pocket, turning to leave. Before I left, I heard a voice.

"Don't hurt yourselves, or Mary will jump down my throat," Meemaw said as she took a sip of whiskey.

"Don't worry, I'm here. I won't let anything happen to them," I said without turning around and walked towards the children who were already waiting for me in front of the car.

"Let's go, I'll drive. I doubt any of you can drive properly," I said to them as I sat in the driver's seat.

"That hurts, you know. I'll be 16 next year, and I'll get my driver's license," Georgie said indignantly.

"Well, that statement is in the future, not the present or the past," I said as I turned the ignition key.

"Now you sound like Sheldon," he said, annoyed.

"Can you guys stop, focus!" Missy yelled in our ear.

And then I accelerated, the tires skidding, smoke rising from the friction, and soon gaining speed that we wouldn't normally reach.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" x3

"HAHAHAHAHAHA" this is so much fun, I said as I drifted around the corner of the hospital, then I slowed down and parked the car.

Then Missy and Paige got out of the car and went to the nearest trash can, while Georgie stumbled to my side, then put his hands on my shoulder and yelled, "YOU HAVE TO TEACH ME THAT!!" with an expression that wouldn't accept no for an answer.

I shrugged and headed towards the hospital. At the hospital reception, we saw a nurse attending to someone who then went somewhere else, so I approached and said, "Hi, everything okay?" and she replied with a suspicious look, "Okay? Are you lost? Where are your parents?"

"So they're at the hospital; we came to see how they're doing. The patient's name is George Le Cooper," I said, and the nurse gave me a look of understanding and then gave me the information.

"They're in ward 4, room 23. Don't disturb other patients, or I'll have to kick you out."

"Thank you very much, ma'am. Don't worry, we won't cause any trouble," I said kindly.

Seeing how polite I was, the nurse thought there would be no problem, so she quickly busied herself with something else.

Arriving at the ward where George was resting, we saw Mary holding George's hand while he slept and whispered something.

I approached her and whispered softly in her ear, "Mary, we came here to visit George."

Hearing a sudden voice from somewhere, Mary jumped in surprise, looking around confusedly, then looked in our direction and said, still dazed, "What are you kids doing here? Where's Meemaw?"

"So we..." before Missy could tell a lie and make the situation worse for Meemaw, I said, "We got Meemaw drunk, took her keys, and came here. We were worried about George's situation; it wasn't Meemaw's fault. If you want to blame someone, please blame me. I was responsible for bringing them here," I said in a tone of regret and apology to Mary.

Mary, at this moment, was very angry; it was evident, her facial muscles visibly tensed, but she calmed down as soon as she looked towards her children, who ignored the situation and looked at their husband still unconscious in the hospital bed.

But she couldn't let the situation go unpunished, but she decided to postpone it.

"As soon as we get home, you'll be grounded,"

"Yes," x4 Seeing how understanding we were, Mary nodded satisfied with herself and explained George's situation to us.
