32 Chapter 32 Tornado
"As soon as I wake up I feel someone hugging me, I look, it's Paige, I carefully remove her arms and without waking her up, I prepare myself for the storm that is about to come. Last night I felt familiar with what was happening with Sheldon due to eidetic memory, I quickly remembered, but I remembered before betting, forget I don't miss money, and even better, Meemaw will have to split it with George, that's going to be something worth seeing.

So I was preparing for what was to come, I go out and see Sheldon in a suit knocking on Meemaw's door and talking to her.

"hmm, I'm not a big fan of working outdoors and that gnome over there scares me," Sheldon says, pointing to a gnome with a green hat nearby.
"Ernesto provokes that reaction in people," Meemaw says indifferently.
"How much would you pay me for the job?" Sheldon asks.
"Let me see, how about 1 dollar per hour?" Meemaw states her initial value ready to bargain.
I must say that among all the other things Meemaw likes to do, bargaining will always be one of them.
"How about 5 dollars per hour?" Sheldon counters with his price.
And Meemaw, like the old fox she was, retorts, "How about 50 cents an hour" with a smug look.
Confused, Sheldon asks, "Wait, what just happened?"
And Meemaw adds, "Alright, 1 dollar per hour."
And Sheldon thinks for a moment and says, "Thank you" and shakes Meemaw's hand symbolizing a deal made.
Poor Sheldon, little does he know he was swindled by the old fox for the initial value she proposed. I think from afar.
At this moment, I feel something poking my shoulder, I look over my shoulder and see Paige with my computer in hand, giving me a knowing smile and asking,
"Connor, I have some doubts about how to execute this code, could you help me?" And then I follow her into the garage. A few hours later, Sheldon was sweating while plowing Meemaw's garden with her watching him while sitting in a rocking chair and she asks with a smile on her face,
"Are you having fun, dear?"
Sheldon looks up at her and says, "I hate everything about this."
At this moment, Mary comes out of the house and runs towards Sheldon, seeing him on the other side of the street she crosses the street and says,
"You have to come home with me, Shelly," Mary says hurriedly.
And Sheldon responds looking in her direction, "No, I'm working."
And Mary says, "I don't care, we have a tornado warning, let's go home."
And Meemaw in the distance says, "Oh, come on, they've been broadcasting this alert every day for two months, and so far nothing has happened."
And Sheldon takes the opportunity to say, "I think you're worried just because I'm making money for my college application."
At this moment, Mary angrily says, "I am worried because it's not safe out here, let's go home!!"
"I can worry about my safety, thank you."
"I don't care what you think, I'm your mother and you will do what I say!" as soon as Mary finishes saying this, the sound of a tornado warning siren is heard.

And then the sound of a beep is heard in the distance.
I think to myself, it seems like the time has come.
"Connor, what's happening?" Paige asks, raising her head from the computer, slightly alarmed by the alert sound.
"Don't worry too much about it," I say as I grab my guitar and go under the table.
"Come on, Paige, it's a tornado, you'll be safer here," I tell her as I grab a blanket and cover myself to ward off the cold that comes with the tornado.
Paige quickly comes to my side, but before that, I say, "And grab the computer," but she either didn't hear me or pretended not to hear and snuggled under the blanket with me.
I sigh and get up just as I handed the computer to Paige, I hear a voice in the distance.
"CONNOR!! PAIGE!!! WHERE ARE YOU?" before hearing a dull noise and a thud.
I quickly get up and open the door; there was a very strong wind outside, many things were flying from there to here, and on the ground in the middle of the street was...
A few minutes earlier
"Georgie, help me put this mattress on the window," George says hurriedly.
"Wait, is this my mattress? It took me a while to pad it, you know," Georgie says indignantly.
Mary soon notices something strange and says, "Have any of you seen Paige and Connor?"
"What the heck," George says before running out shouting, "CONNOR, PAIGE, WHERE ARE YOU!" as he ran out of the house in the midst of the wind, shouting for Connor and Paige.
As soon as he left the house and was on the street, an object came flying. George saw the object approaching but couldn't dodge it, resulting in the object hitting his head, and before he knew it, he was lying on the ground with his vision fading to black.
