Nervous

On the other side, after the phone call from Mother Li informing them about how Li Jie agreed to get married, Mother Zhang and father Zhang were elated.

But the bride to be, Zhang Xiaoxi feet has turned cold and she started feeling nervous to spend her life with a stranger.

Though she know Mother Li loves her, but will her would be husband like her, will she like him. How is this new married journey going to be. Zhang Xiaoxi could not sleep at all thinking about all these.

Next Day:

Li Jie was woken up by merciless banging on his room door by his mother.

As soon as he opened door, his mother rushed inside his room, opened his wardrobe looking for a nice outfit for him.

Looking back when mother Li found Li jie staring at her like fool "what are you staring at go get ready. We are leaving in 30 minutes"

"But mom where are we going and why was i not informed?  I have so much work to be done. I don't think i can come out with you today. what don't you take Yan?"- explained Li Jie who didn't understand what was his mother trying to do

"Alright now!! go and get ready. here, wear this suit. get ready and come down in 20 minutes" said Mother Li who picked his suit and kept it on the bed before rushing downstairs

Looking at his mother's back, Li jie sighed and went to freshen up and after 20 minutes he came down wearing the suit his mother picked.

Sensing all the stares are directed to him, he looked at people and everyone around him are neatly dressed and are ready to head out.

Ignoring all the teasing glances of his brother, Li Jie went directly to his mother to convince her not to take him anywhere because he has got lot of pending work.

" Mom, Listen to me. You guys go and have fun and i will join you later, i have work to do please understand its important" Li Jie tried to explain his mother

"What are you talking? You are the only one who have to be there while we are just joining the ceremony. What do you mean by joining later when you are the one who is supposed to get married"-snapped Mother Li

"I understand that But i am busy —- wait what??? Marriage? Whose marriage?"- shocked Li Jie

" what do you mean by whose marriage? Do you think i am getting married again? It's of course yours. Did you forget what you promised me last night? Do you want me to remind you again?- questioned Mother Li

"Mom, I remember i promised you but isn't this way too fast? I mean, i just agreed last night and you are saying that i am getting married today? Like are you serious mom?"- asked Li Jie

"Haizz - Do you think i am joking so early in the morning? Let's go we are getting late . Whatever questions you have you can ask me after getting married. Let's go now" - Mother Li said dragging Li Jie out of the mansion and pushing him in to the car.

The car ride took 50 minutes. Just like that, Li Jie was already at the marriage bureau waiting for his bride along with his parents.

Li Jie went to a side to inform his Secretary Yang that he is gonna be late for the meeting. While he was on his phone, his would be wife and family arrived.

Without even letting him complete his call, Mother Li pushed him into the marriage bureau.

He was standing at the entrance of the marriage bureau and could see a woman with a height that reaches just below his shoulders standing right next to him.

He could smell a peach fragrance from her. For some reason, he could feel his heart beating faster when that smell drifted into his nostrils.

Following the fragrance, he looked at the woman beside him through his peripheral vision.

Sensing his gaze, Zhang Xiaoxi lifted her head and looked at him.

One look at her and Li jie was mesmerised.

"Her Beauty was beyond what Mother Li and Li Yan described.  Her eyes which were looking at him with curiosity were big and beautiful. Her skin is so clear without any blemishes. The only mark on her face was the mole on the right side of her upper lip.

But that mole added more beauty to her. Maybe because she was nervous too, so she started chewing her lip.

Li Jie was lost in her beauty and keep looking into her eyes.

Meanwhile standing beside Li Jie, Zhang Xiaoxi was nervous as hell when Li Jie was busy observing her.

She has seen Li Jie in magazines, forums and news so many times. She know how handsome her would be husband is. but for some reason she was so nervous and to top it, Li jie was staring at her.

Looking at the bride and groom who are standing like statues lost in each other eyes, without going inside, mother Li rushed them inside and glared at her son for standing like a fool.

Being stared by his mother, Li Jie know that if he didnt go inside now his mother would probably drag him inside by holding his ear in front of everyone which would be embarrassing.

Not knowing how to ask the woman or how to start conversation with her, Li Jie cleared his throat and started moving forward.

When zhang Xiaoxi looked at Li Jie moving forward, she looked back at her family whose faces are beaming with happiness and Mother Li who is looking at her with the same affection her mother is showing, she took a deep breath and started moving along with Li Jie.

They both understood that these are the first steps for their new start. is the starting of their journey and once they go inside that door, they will be returning as wife and husband. Both of them are nervous and felt awkward getting married to a stranger. 

But Since they have decided to put their family members happiness before theirs, they were also ready to take this step.
