35 Kicking in bed.

Though both of them decided to share a bed, it was quite awkward to have someone sleeping beside them. Unable to sleep, xiaoxi started fidgeting and rolling on her side of the bed. It was same for Li Jie.

Understanding her concern, Li Jie thought for a moment and asked with his eyes closed "are you uncomfortable? I can just go and sleep in the study room."

Awkwardly scratching her forehead, she answered, "actually, I never had anyone sleeping beside me, not even my sister. So, I am a little nervous. I actually kick around in the bed so"

"I know I saw your weird sleeping posture on the first day. Don't worry I don't have a habit of moving around. So, you can take most of the bed. And about kicking"

Pausing for a second, he opened his eyes, turned towards her and looked into her eyes, "until and unless you use your knee and that too in the important place, I am okay with everything else."

It took a whole minute for her to analyse and understand what he was talking about. As soon as she understood what he was talking about, she could feel hot air coming out of her face, she was crimson red.

This man, he couldn't stop teasing her even for a minute!!!

She used her fist and punched him "Li Jie can't you stop teasing me and why will I kick you there? You are too much. Hmpf"

Chuckling at her reaction, "I am just warning you missus or else if something of that sort happens and I can't perform well, you will be the one to complain."

Puffing her cheeks, "you-you stop talking and sleep, I am not going to start a conversation with you anymore."

She pulled her blanket above her head and closed her eyes shut.

Smiling at her, he turned on to his side and closed his eyes.

About an hour later, Li jie woke up with a grunt holding his nose.  Shaking his head, he opened his eyes and held his nose before turning on the bed light.

Looking at his wife, he was speechless. He didn't know whether to laugh or cry after having a look at her sleeping posture.

Zhang xiaoxi's head was on Li Jie's pillow. She was nowhere near her side of the bed. The person who was supposed to be sleeping straight was now diagonal. All her hands and legs were spread wide open. Her blanket was kicked off from the bed and now she was covering his blanket.

She had her lips puckered like she was pouting. she seemed to be smiling in her dreams. She cared nothing or rather not realised about what has just happened and was happily dreaming.

Shaking his head, Li jie went to the other side of the bed, picked up her pink blanket, moved her legs to the other side and slept.

But after half an hour, he again woke up when he felt weight on his stomach. This time he really couldn't hold it in and laughed. His wife is a real boxing and kicking champion in sleep.

Her sleeping posturewas so weird. Looking at the time, he saw that he only has 2 hours to sleep before getting up. He carefully removed her legs on his stomach, covered her properly and closed his eyes thanking god that at least this time she didn't kick him or punched his nose.

Just after he adjusted her postured, she started rolling in the bed again. He knows that this time if she kept moving, she would definitely hurt him again. contemplating for a bit, he sighed and pulled her closer. He thought that after she woke up like this, she would definitely be angry. But opposite to his expectations, as soon as pulled her closer, she adjusted herself on his chest and smiled after finding a comfortable position.

Using his right hand, he fixed her messy hair and he chuckled at her before placing his head on top of hers. Having her in his embrace, he couldn't help but think about all that happened in these two days and how she changed his life. He no longer has this empty feeling he had in his heart for years. Her small cute actions have bought so many feelings that he thought he would never get. he built a wall around his heart so that no feelings or no person could hurt him again but as soon as she entered into his life, that wall seems to have cracked and started falling off bit by bit.

The moment when they were on the swing and looking at the scenery, he felt so peaceful. He didn't have that kind of feeling in the past years. He always indulged himself in work. Every business proposal he laid his hands on was a huge success. though everything was perfect, he never had a satisfactory feeling at his heart. But now a feeling that is very sweet and soothing started to creep inside his heart.

He now has a wife to come to. A person who he can live with, a companion and a wonderful cook. He can now boost to his friends who always criticised him for being single. He doesn't have to eat dog food.

Wait!! Wasn't he thinking too much???

Sighing, he pulled her closer and slept. This time, zhang xiaoxi didn't move in her sleep. She found something which is warm to hold on to and it also smelled nice and fresh. She didn't want to leave it at all. She held on to it tightly and slept peacefully with a smile hanging on her lips.
