Li Jie who was busy clearing his wardrobe, opened the door and saw Father Li standing.

"dad, what happened. Is there anything you need?" – asked Li Jie

"son, what are you doing. Is xiaoxi asleep. Did I disturb you" asked father Li.

" no dad, she went to freshen up, I am clearing my wardrobe for her. Dad is there anything you want to talk?" asked Li Jie.

" Yes. Let's go for a walk in the garden" said father Li

In the garden: -

"Son, I want to talk to you about your marriage. I don't want to say much because I know how sensible you are, and I also know you have already set your mind to be responsible towards xiaoxi.

You know, when your mom told me for the first time, I thought xiaoxi is just a normal girl that your mother took liking for, but then your mom started finding excuses to find xiaoxi to ask her to marry you. She pestered that poor girl like Crazy .

She used to come home and speak about xiaoxi so much, xiaoxi said this, she likes this, etc., she used to be so happy talking about xiaoxi. She was sure about you both on her first meeting with xiaoxi itself.

Xiaoxi is a good child, make sure you keep her happy. She left everything behind and married you to start a new life, don't disappoint her. I know you don't have any type of feelings for her, so does she.

but believe me, marriage is a magic. Its makes you fall in love with your partner and makes you addicted. But, you have to give yourself and xiaoxi a chance to experience that magic.

I hope you take my words seriously. Give yourself a chance, then you will understand why we forced you into this marriage. Make xiaoxi feel like this is her home too, poor child she was sad when her parents were leaving."

Listening to father li's words, Li Jie felt that he should atleast try giving himself and their marriage a chance "dad, I will keep that in mind."

"lets go in, take some rest" – said father Li who then went towards kitchen where mother Li was helping aunty Gu.

Present: -

"can we talk?" asked Li Jie

"Huhh? Oh okay" said Xiaoxi who then sat on the other side of the bed facing Li Jie but her head was hung low.

" I know it's a bit awkward for both of us, but since we are married, I think we need to get to know each other. What do you think?"- asked Li Jie

Nodded Zhang Xiaoxi in response to Li Jie' s question.

"I think you know a lot about me, since you met my mother, she must have told you about me. But I know nothing about you, so why don't you say something about yourself."

Not knowing what to say, xiaoxi started fidgeting her hands.

Looking at xiaoxi, Li Jie understood that she was nervous. Not wanting to scare her anymore, he added "its ok, you can talk when you feel that you are comfortable. I can understand your nervousness."

" I know, we married as strangers, but since we are married I want you to know, that I am a man of loyalty and I expect the same from you. That will be the only thing I am expecting from our marriage.

Nodded again Zhang Xiaoxi

" I heard your mom say that you are a chatter box, why are you so silent? Are you scared of me? Asked Li Jie

Shocked by his question, Zhang Xiaoxi raised her head and looked at Li Jie but she could not bring herself to voice out her thoughts.

Li Jie waited for few minutes for her to speak, but When she didn't say anything he decided not to force her anymore and got up to freshen up.

"you can take a nap, you must be tired, I am going to freshen up. and I have cleared half of the wardrobe, you can put your clothes in there, if it is not sufficient, just let me know, I will make arrangements" said Li Jie who then went in to the bathroom.

As soon as she heard the bath room door being closed, Zhang Xiaoxi breathed a sigh of relief and relaxed falling on the bed. She looked up at the ceiling and fell into deep thought.

"Why am I so scared, it's not like he is going to eat me alive. He is also human, moreover he is my husband now, why am I so scared and nervous

Though everyone say that our parents forced us to get married, but we were the ones who agreed to it. If we didn't agree in the first place, this marriage wouldn't have happened.

Though we are strangers and I am nervous around him,  being a big shot CEO, he tried to accommodate me. Xiaoxi, what the hell is wrong with you. You don't usually shut your mouth up when people asked you to- why the hell are you not speaking now even after he asked you to talk.

He even talked to you so politely and you were so rude, you didn't give him a reply dimwit.

When I agreed to this marriage, didn't I also think of letting my past go and work on my future and when I get such a handsome husband who also seems to be polite, unlike all those magazines claim him to be cold, why am I like this.

It's enough that you made your parents worry about you, now at least try to live your new life in peace. It's not that you have to perform your wife duties now, he asked you to be his friend.. how sweet, he even cleared his wardrobe for you.

He took a step towards you, isn't it your chance now to take a step towards him, come on xiaoxi you can do it" mumbled Zhang Xiaoxi to herself, without even realising that Li Jie has already come out of the bath room, standing in front of her and looking at her mumbling.
