On the plane, Frank was worried. True,Miss Staisy Brown was known to be mean and cold towards her competitors but during the summit,he realised Miss Brown looked at him with hatred anytime their gaze met.
The look was full of hatred,and that made Frank panic. He felt he was threatened by Miss Brown. True,Zerc Foods was on top of the marketing chain,followed by Dandry Foods. Was that the reason behind Miss Brown's hatred for him?But Frank felt there was more to it than the fierce competition between them. Even when he arrived at New York,that thought was still lingering in his mind.
"Darlings,I brought your toys ",Anne announced happily when she got home. "I also got you flowers", Jake said and handed the bouquet of tulips to Anne. "I missed you "."Aww,thanks ",Anne said.
"The agenda for today's meeting is",Daisy announced to the Board of Directors of Dandry Foods,"You all suck!Can someone explain to me why after a whole year,we're still stuck at the second place?".
"Miss Brown ",Mr Craig Rush,the V.P of Finance,volunteered,"Looking at when we began and where we've reached,we've done very well. Dandry Foods was established just two years ago,but we've moved at a very fast pace to reach the top. Our biggest competition,Zerc Foods,on the other hand was established more than a decade ago. Some people don't easily change brands like that ".
"Like you?",Daisy asked. Mr Rush was shocked but acted confused. "Me?",he asked. "What did you have this morning for breakfast?",asked Daisy. "Tea?",said Craig. "What brand?",Daisy asked. Mr Craig could not utter a word.
"Just what I thought. If you produce something and buy another,what will people think?'He doesn't even like his own thing,why should I buy it?'.I pay you guys better than Zerc pays his employees so I expect you to work better than his employees. Do you understand?",she shouted ."Yes ma'am",they replied in unison and she stormed out of the room .
"If it's not because of the money,I would have left this job seeing the way she treats us",the secretary of the Operations Manager confessed to Lina. "Me too",Lina agreed. "How can the agenda for a meeting be'You all suck '? I'll have to go ".
Stella called Daisy,"Since you said you wouldn't take my advice on not blackmailing Jake,what did you ask from Jake?",she asked. "I told him to stop seeing Aislee and be extra sweet to Anne ",Daisy replied. "Really?I'm trying hard to believe you right now. Why?"."If Anne finds out that Jake had been cheating on him,it will break her heart very much since Jake shows too much love to her "."Daisy,I thought I told you not to take revenge on Anne too",Staisy said. "Turns out I didn't take that advice ",Daisy said and laughed.
"I'm bored with Jake. I want to move on to Mr Frank Zerc. I've thought of it and realised that I can't be on top of him,so I must find another way to ensure his downfall. I want you to find a drug cartel for me. A powerful one I can join ".
"What!Daisy,is that the level you want to reach?You want to be a drug dealer?Why?What is wrong with you,Daisy?".
"Just do what I ask you to do,okay? That's what I pay you for. And stop asking silly questions ",Daisy said rudely. "I'll only be part of the cartel for a very short period of time, don't worry ".
"Your wish is my command ",Stella replied. Daisy could feel Stella roll her eyes on the phone,but she did not care. She hang up and went to bed. As for her plan to bring Frank down,she was the only one who knew what she was doing.
Three days later,the two met at Ella's Diner and Stella reported,"Dorado,Spanish for the word 'Golden '.That's the name of the cartel. Owner,Pedro Hernandez,fifty-two years of age. Dorado is one of the biggest drug cartels in the world ".
"Did you get a spot for me?",Daisy asked. "You'll have to talk to Pablo Hernandez,Pedro's son,first. He wants to ensure that you can be trusted ",Stella answered. "Fine.Book an appointment for us to meet ",Daisy instructed. "I'll have to leave for work. Bye ".
"Bye ",Stella said and waved to Daisy who was already getting out of the restaurant. Stella stared at Daisy till she disappeared.
She never thought Daisy would do something illegal. Whatever Daisy had in mind,Stella had no idea of it,and she was afraid something bad might happen to her friend.
