Elsa and the other servants were dressing Landon up in a beautiful pink balloon dress. They adorned him in beautiful jewelry and massages his hands and shoulder.

"You are very lucky," Elsa said combing Landon's hair back. "The crown prince cares for you a lot."

"Why do you say that?"

"From the way he treats you. It is very clear that he cares a lot for you and would do anything for you. Most desire what you have but sadly the crown prince isn't someone to tie down," she said trying her hair up in a ponytail.

Landon listened as Elsa continued to feed him gossip about everyone in the palace. From the prince, queen, and all-important figures that she had to watch out for.

"The crown prince, prince Theoden Blackthorne is the most powerful member of the Blackthorne royal family. Next in power is the queen, Isabella Blackthorne. She might look nice and innocent on the outside but she is like a chameleon that changes its color according to the environment. But you need not worry, she is a chameleon with dignity."

"I don't think a person compared to a chameleon can be considered dignified," he commented.

"Yes, but she is the queen so there is nothing anyone can do. Then watch out for the late king's mistress, Carmilla Vontrap. Just like her name she is a witch that traps people in her clutches and never lets them go. Her son is just as scary as she is. Second prince Reznor Blackthorne, he and his mother both desire the throne but with the demon prince around they can't act on their desire."

"The demon prince? Who is that?" Landon asked in curiosity. He couldn't imagine living in the palace with so many terrible people. The prince was already bad enough and now there were more of him he would have to deal with.

"The crown prince of course," she said and Landon released a sigh of relief. "He goes by many names, some call him the demon prince, heartless prince others even refer to him as the harbinger of hell," she explained. The names she mentioned were all terrible and horrifying.

From the way he knew the prince he would call him a beast or even a monster but he didn't get why someone would call him such terrible names and how the egoistic prince must have reacted to that. He smiled imagining the prince's smirk that he always seems to wear before he unleashes his wrath on someone.

"The other people who matter are Zaugustus, the prince's bodyguard. His origins are known only by the prince alone but he is very dangerous in terms of strength and the ability to fight. Then there is crown princess Adrianna, the prince's younger sister. She is a total sweetheart on the outside but doesn't let her sweet charms fool you. She is the devil incarnate and will devour your soul if you aren't careful."

"Don't you think that you are exaggerating a little?" Landon asked to hope that she was only pulling his leg, if not then he would have made a big mistake. His goal for coming to the palace was to have a comfortable life and be safe from the creatures of this planet but it seemed that he won't get either of his desires. What's worse is that he wasn't even safe there with the prince. He felt like cursing his luck for landing him in that evil palace.

"Not at all, everything I tell you is nothing but the truth. Just wait a little while and you will confirm my words," she declared. "Yes, before I forget, there is Ryker. He is the royal adviser to the prince. He is a man of few words and dangerous too. A crown prince is a dangerous man himself it's only fair that he surrounds himself with dangerous people," she said finishing up with Landon.

"The palace may look good on the outside but only those who live here truly understand that it is nothing more than a beautiful cage," she told and led the room with the other servants.

On her way out she bumped into the queen who was on the way to meet Landon. Elsa knew that Landon was not ready to meet the queen. She was still too innocent for the cruelty that laid behind every gentle smile in the palace.

"May you live a long life, my queen," she greeted with her head bowed. "The prince has ordered that lady Lara be left to rest from the journey. He asked absolutely no one should disturb her," she said not daring to lift her bowed head to look at the Queen.

"But you understand that I am above the prince's orders. And I won't be long, my visit is short," she expressed. "Come in with me, the rest of you stay out here," she said and headed in with Elsa helpless to follow behind her.

"Lady Lara, it is finally nice to meet you," the queen declared from the door.

"Thank you," Landon replied not sure how to address her.

"I am Isabella, the prince's mother and queen of Arcadia," she introduced.

"It is nice to meet you, your majesty," he said with a bow as he saw in the movies. He was glad that he was always watching a lot of television because now he knew how to behave around royals.

"If the prince wanted to choose a woman by himself. It wouldn't have hurt for him to consider if she knew proper etiquette or not," she muttered silently but Landon still heard her. "My son told me that he wishes to marry you that too tomorrow. I don't know what spell you have cast on him but I will need you to object to this marriage," she said getting to the point of her visit.

"What?" he asked for many reasons. One he was to get married tomorrow and the beast didn't even bother to tell him. Two the queen wanted him to object to the wedding.

"Didn't you hear me or are you unable to understand me. Call off your wedding to my son and tell him that you wish not to marry him."

"But I can't do that," Landon said scared at the thought of losing his first love even before he understood what love was and enjoyed the bliss that came from love.

"And why not?" she asked with clear displeasure written all over her face.

"Because I love him. I can't leave him."

"Love has no place in the golden palace. So there is no need for you to be here. Just leave."

"Fine. I lied," he said as the Queen was about to throw him out of the palace. "I don't love the prince. He took advantage of me and that is why we are getting married. He is only trying to fix his mistakes," he said to her. He thought the queen would have mercy on him and support him but she was the opposite of what he expected.

"Then why are you still here. Get lost and that will fix his mistakes," she stated and dragged him away.

"I'm pregnant!" he screamed left with no other option.
