Breaking the bond
The pain in the king's eyes was very evident. He looked like someone had just stabbed a knife into his chest.
It was sad to hear the things that Landon had to say to him. The rejection was evident and it hurt. He placed his hand on his chest above his heart and pressed it hard to stop the hurt.
His eyes filled with tears and they flowed freely from his eyes. He just couldn't bring himself to stop his tears or the pain in his eyes.
It was the opposite of what Landon expected to see after his confession. He expected the king to smirk and mock his misery or et angry and tell at him. But seeing him hurt and broken like that made his heartache.
The King stumbled back moving away from him. He dropped to his knees with his hands on the ground. He looked like he had lost everything in life.
Landon was confused with what was happening. He wasn't sure what to do in this situation as he had never witnessed a person break apart before his eyes.
