Smell Trouble

"A-are you seriously g-going to do that?" Luna stuttered while asking Maximus. Maximus did not respond. He just kept quiet while looking at the window.

Luna felt something in his heart that she cannot understand. Someone already left her before and that was Shawn. Her ex-lover.

"It is alright, I am used to it... anyway. Remember Shawn did it, so the second time is alright----

Luna did not finish her sentence when Maximus suddenly grabbed her hand and pulled her towards his chest. He embraced Luna.

Luna was surprised. She could not move. Her body did not respond to what she wanted, so he let Maximus hugged her.

"I am sorry..." Maximus whispered in a calm tone.

Maximus felt guilty. He forgot that he promised her that he will not let Luna get hurt or suffer. What did he do just now?
