The Beasts Children of Emmy

In the dark, under a strange-looking tree, a lady around twenty-something could be seen clenching her stomach and looking pitiful. She seemed to be in pain and was breathing heavily. Above her in the sky, the color was very black and blurry. Rain started falling, and the thunder was clapping loudly and violently. The wind was very thick, slapping everything harshly. The lady stood with the support of the tree, using one hand to prop herself against the tree and the other hand to hold her stomach tightly. She breathed out and continued moving weakly. "Seems like I'm not going to escape this. What type of poison is this?" she wondered. She unbuckled her belt to relieve some pain, then sat down somewhere and groaned while her hand wandered around on the wet ground until it made contact with something. She picked it up and saw the object with the help of the lightning. The thing was round like a bead, and something joined them together. She did not care about what it was and just swallowed it. She was going to die anyway, at least she ate something. She could not figure out the taste of the thing, but it was surely not normal because as soon as it made contact with her throat, it felt very hot, as if she had drunk hot water that had not cooled. "Sh*t! Even in death, my luck is still very bad," she muttered. She was still lamenting when her aching stomach suddenly stopped aching. She did not have the chance to rejoice when her stomach started swelling up, getting bigger and bigger. It was as if it wanted to burst but, alas, it didn't. She could feel herself in labor. She groaned until something escaped her body - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. She was relieved from both the poison pain and her swollen stomach pain. When she looked at what she had given birth to, she was shocked. Eggs. She had given birth to eggs. And there were six. What happened to the eggs? Afraid to lose two million.

It's already past six in the evening. Sam stopped his car at the huge gate of a big mansion.

"You should go in yourself, I won't accompany you, I still have some important things to do", he said to Emmy.

Emmy merely looked at him and then exited the car. As soon as she stepped out, Sam drove away immediately. "Crazy man," she commented and made her way into the mansion. She found many men in black guiding the compound but was surprised because they didn't stop her as soon as she entered. "Are they statues?" she wondered and she walked closer to a man in black. "Hello, I am here for a job," she said awkwardly.

The man in black did not reply and just led her to the living room. After leading her there, he left.

Emmy stood alone in the living room, dumbfounded. Her eyes were wandering all over the living room but strangely, she couldn't find a maid or any other opposite gender presence at all. All she saw were men, either guiding the way or roaming around to do things, but none of them paid attention to her. "Why do I feel as if I walked into a lion's den? I couldn't find a female here at all, and everyone here is even strange," she thought to herself. She waited for an hour that felt like an eternity. She couldn't hold it anymore and screamed, "boss of this place! I've been here for the past 7 hours, yet no one pays attention to me. I am here for a job!" She hoped that the boss would hear her scream and come out.

All the men in black remained silent but the look like. "..."

Soon, Emmy saw a shadow coming down from the stairs. She knew that the man must be the boss of the mansion at one glance. She smiled happily when she realized that the man was not an old freak that she had imagined. He looked cold, and the aura he released was very noble. Emmy watched as the man found a seat. She took a deep breath and was about to speak when the man's voice sounded.

"You are quite something. You have been here for just one hour and you claim to be here for seven hours. How does your time work?" the man's voice was very cold, but if one paid closer attention to him, one would see a hint of warmth in his eyes.

Emmy's mouth twitched. "Is he deliberately keeping me waiting?" she thought to herself and anger started building up in her stomach, but she suppressed it. "Forget it for now. If he turns out negative to my expectations, I will take revenge," she consoled herself. "My bad, I don't have a clock with me. I can only rely on my sense of time," she said with a smile.

The man stood up and walked closer to Emmy. Without any warning, he pulled Emmy's shirt collar aside, showing half of her breast, and he saw a visible leaf imprint, perfectly curved on top of her breast. Seeing this, the man's eyes widened, and a satisfied smile appeared on his lips.

Seeing the man's perverted action, Emmy slapped his hand away and gave him a deadly glare. "He hasn't gone too far. He hasn't gone too far. Calm down, you are doing this for your children," Emmy screamed inside, trying to calm herself. "Has Mister Man taken a liking to me?" She forced a smile on her face.

The man smiled. "Your sense of time is not functioning well. Find some time to readjust it," the man went back to his seat, not bothering to answer Emmy's teasing.

Emmy's anger increased. "I swear, if not because of the money that I need, I would have poisoned you already," she thought to herself and took a deep breath. "I am here for a job, what job do you have for me?" she asked.

"A maid," the man replied.

"I already know that it won't be a good job, but it's still better than..." she mused to herself. "How much is my salary?" she asked. "Just name any worthless price and see what I will do to you," she thought to herself.

"Five..." the man replied.

Emmy's face darkened immediately. "Pardon me, what do you mean five? From the look of it, you are not poor. Oh, perhaps all this is fake. Anyway, I don't care whether they are fake or not but do you have to be so stingy? I will cook, clean the house, wash plates, rearrange rooms, and so on and all I will get is just five dollars? Don't kid me. Even if I work as a cleaner, my per-hour rate would be two thousand dollars, much less a maid's work. Please, a maid is different from a servant. Even a servant does not receive just five dollars as a salary. Besides, I noticed that I will be the only girl here. You should think that because I am a lady, I deserve more money," she scolded angrily, even though she had the feeling that this man was not being serious.

The men in black. "..."

The men in black. "Did she even realize who she was scolding?". They thought.

The man was surprisingly calm, and the smile was still visible on his face. "You mean, five hundred thousand dollars does not worth a slave's salary? Your way of reasoning is very interesting," he said plainly.

Emmy was dumbfounded, even the men in black.

"Why is this man so unreasonable? He could just say it outright. Who wouldn't misunderstand what he meant?" she thought to herself in frustration.

"Erm... boss, don't mind me, I damaged my head when I was young, so sometimes I don't think before speaking. I don't mean to say those words". Who wouldn't want that amount of money for a monthly salary just by doing a maid job? It's even too much as a salary. I won't mind taking the blame for my words. " she thought".

The man tried his utmost best not to look happy outside and he maintained his straight face. "I noticed it," he said plainly.

"What does that supposed to mean? This guy does not know how to treat a lady better at all. Pervert!" Emmy roared inwardly.

"You can start your job now. It's pointless thinking that you will receive special treatment just because you are a lady. Get to work," the man said, and he stood up, ready to go back upstairs.

Emmy stopped him and bowed her head like an obedient girl. "I forgot to tell you but you should know that you are the best in this century,". Emmy said. "A little flattering will do,". she thought inwardly and smiled devilishly.

"Oh," the man clearly knew that Emmy was up to something, and he decided to ignore her, taking another step forward.

Emmy's mouth twitched, but she quickly ran up to him, bowing again. She asked, "Can I take four months' salary in advance?"

The man stopped and gave Emmy a knowing gaze. "You have not even started work yet. What for?"

"Well, it's a private matter. Don't worry, I won't run away with your money," Emmy replied, clearly provoking him with the statement, "I won't run away with your money."

As expected, the man was successfully provoked by Emmy's statement. "You think a mere two million is a huge amount of money for me, and I will be afraid of you running away with it?" his face darkened.

Emmy blinked innocently. "Your expression tells all. Worry not, I will leave you some pride and seal my mouth. I won't tell anyone that you are afraid of losing two million to a woman," she deliberately raised her voice for everyone to hear before using her hand to key her lips.

"Take that little punishment, Mr. Pervert," Emmy thought to herself, with a mocking smile on her face.

Because Emmy was bowing, and her long black hair fell to both sides of her face so therefore the man failed to notice her mocking smile

"You..." the man was clearly pissed off.
