After a few beats of silence and him considering my words, he gives me a terse nod of acceptance. "I understand. No one shall touch your male and he will be forbidden from seeking out another."

"I want my pups to remain pure for their mates, I cannot face them if they are forced into a situation like with Elriam and Drakho or I as their mother would have failed." When I return my gaze to Phobos I find him grinning broadly at me with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "What is it?"

"You said 'pups' not pup. Does this mean my sunflower will bear me more? Does this mean that we need to start working on that?" My cheeks flush wildly at his teasing and that meaningful pause before he uttered the phrase 'working'. I know what he is implying.
