Third Holy Mission

Day of Westar, 6:50 a.m.

Vivian activated a spell.

[Greater Origin Enchant].

A dark-red lightning aura appeared on her right hand.

She activated another spell.

[Halo].

As soon as the [Halo] spell started to manifest on her back, the dark-red lightning immediately began crawling from her hand to her arm, to her shoulder and then finally to the golden ring on her back. And after the golden ring absorbed all of the lightning, it grew up to 4 times bigger that it looked like there was a giant golden portal behind Vivian, illuminating her room.

Vivian deactivated the spell and then stared at the windows of her room which was closed and covered with thick and dark red curtains.

She could see the sunlight bouncing back at the edges of the curtains.

It's already morning…

My [Greater Origin Mastery] didn't level up so I can't even tell if buffing my [Halo] with [Greater Origin Enchant] and then turning it off and doing it once again even works…

Her eyes glanced at the desk mirror.

Right…

I bought some makeup yesterday to cover up my abnormally pale skin and the visible veins on my body…

Yesterday, after getting the Earring of Vision and buying the Elemental Weapons, she went to the Apothecary Shop to buy a makeup kit.

She tried to ask the basics on how to use it but she only managed to absord a bit of the information.

On top of that, some of the items from the makeup she bought didn't look familiar to her back in her previous world. There were too many brushes, creams and powders.

Thankfully, my veins are flat...

As for my lips...

Well, putting on lipstick was easy...

Vivian got up and exited her room.

When she entered the hallway, she immediately headed to one of the doors and stopped in front of it.

This has to be Criselle's room, right…?

I don't know anything about makeup so I'm going to ask for her help…

Knock.

Knock.

Vivian knocked on the door and waited.

About 2 minutes passed…

Maybe she already left…?

It was then Vivian recalled that Criselle works at the cafeteria.

Pah.

She facepalmed herself.

I forgot about that…

Of course, since she works at the cafeteria she must've already been there before the sun broke out…

Vivian walked back to her room.

When she entered, she sat down in front of the desk and stared at her reflection in the mirror.

"Fuck it."

"What's another day of walking out in the open like this?"

"Or I could just cover it with powder just like last time."

Maybe I should ask those 2 to help me…?

She was referring to Lily and Airie.

But those two love to gossip…

An image of Marie flashed inside her head.

Hell no…

She already knows about my [Nemesis of Beasts]…

And if she knows that I have my own room, who knows if she will come visit me here every time she feels like it and end up learning more of my secrets…

She then thought about the female clerk at the Apothecary Shop.

Right…

There's got to be salons in this city…

And I'm a Priest…

I can always hire -- what are they called? Salon artist? -- to teach me how to do my makeup…

Maybe the proper term is makeup artist or hairdresser…?

But what's the difference between them…?

As a man in her previous world, all she knew were barbers and barbers can do everything -- cut your hair, shave and trim your beard, and massage you.

She got up from her seat.

Yeah…

That's my only choice…

I got to find a high-end salon to teach me…

She began doing her morning routine.

Just like the other floors, each floor had 3 bathrooms and 3 toilets.

***

At the Training Grounds.

As Vivian walked the grounds and was heading over to Melissa's group, a lot of people were staring at her than usual.

This time around, it wasn't because of her beauty or the fact she wasn't wearing her leather armor, it was her White Cloak.

Vivian had her hair tied into a ponytail as usual. She wore her Earring of Spirit on her right ear and had her gold necklace around her neck -- she no longer wore her Copper I Rank pendant. Underneath her cloak, she wore her stretchable and fitting black longsleeve and pants, a pair of black gloves and boots, and her belt pouch. She also had her Earring of Vision on her pinned on the strap of her bra and her sword hung on her waist.

"Sister Vivian!" Lily immediately greeted her when she got close. "You've finally become a White Cloak! Congratulations!"

"Congratulations too!" Airie also joined in.

"Good morning, Sister Lily. Good morning, Sister Airie," Vivian said and smiled.

"What Class Magic did you get?" Lily asked.

"[Halo]."

"How many years did it take you to finally learn Class Magic?" asked Airie.

Given that people can only get a Class once they become 15 years old because of the law and most people, especially Airie and Lily, weren't aware that Vivian only recently joined the Temple of Priests, it was only natural that Airie would ask such a question.

"Almost a month."

"Almost a month?!" Lily and Airie exclaimed.

"I didn't mention to you guys that I recently joined the Temple? Sorry."

Lily and Airie's eyes burned with envy.

After all, the core for a Priest to learn their Class Magic is to ease the pain and suffering of others. So the fact that Vivian was able to learn a Class Magic in less than a month was pretty amazing.

Unfortunately, when it came to Class Magic, Vivian didn't have that much information and therefore had no idea.

And compared to Vivian, Lily was on her late teens and has been a Brown Cloak for more than a year already. Airie, on the other hand, was also in her late teens and has been a Brown Cloak for 2 years.

So back when Pana said that choosing a Class isn't about how strong, popular or profitable it is and that another important aspect to consider is the person's personality, it held some weight.

There was also the female staff back at the Temple of Thieves that Vivian spoken to, telling her that the more dangerous the situation is, the quicker one can learn Class Magic.

But then again, Vivian had the Lore Magic [Otherworldly] which may or may have not also played a role.

"Excuse me, sister," another female voice said.

When Vivian and the two other ladies turned to who spoke, they saw Julia who, according to Lily and Airie, was one of Melissa's favourite pets.

And she was looking at Vivian.

"Yes?" asked Vivian.

"Sister Melissa would like to talk to you."

"Okay."

Julia led Vivian to Melissa.

When they got to Melissa, she had a huge smile on her face and she reached out for Vivian's hands.

"Sister Vivian, I always knew you were a true member of our Temple!"

Vivian's eyes blinked a couple of times and felt a sense of disgust stir up inside of her of having her hands touched despite wearing gloves before finally recomposing herself and offering a very warm and kind smile.

"Thank you, Sister Melissa. You don't know how much that means to me. But you must at least know that I couldn't have done it with your amazing guidance and leadership as well as the support of Sister Lily and Sister Airie. You've all helped and taught me so much!"

As a working adult, one of the most important skills that Vivian had to learn the hard way is to never outshine your boss. Instead, 99% of the time it was a safer bet to stroke their ego and be useful to them, but never ever be loyal to them or the company. Because by the end of the day, everyone in that company are simply their to earn a pay-check, not make friends.

A bright smile appeared on Melissa's face.

"I'm very happy to hear that."

She let go of Vivian's hand.

"So what do you plan to do?"

"My plan?" Vivian asked, not quite sure what Melissa meant but still tried to answer regardless. "I plan to continue joining this group until the end of the week before joining the other groups who are assigned outside of the city."

"Is that so? Since you'll still be joining this group, why don't you accompany my team starting today until the week ends?"

SHIT…!

SHIT…!

SHIT…!

LIKE HELL I WANT TO SPEND ONE WHOLE MORNING, LET ALONE THE REST OF THE WEEK WITH YOU, YOU UGLY FUCKING FAT BITCH…!

"It would be my pleasure," Vivian said with a very warm and kind smile plastered on her face.
