Magic Art Training

Day of Fratur, 6:11 pm.

Vivian's eyes slowly opened.

Her head ached a little bit and she felt a slightly sharp pain in her lower abdomen and back.

However, this wasn't the cause of her waking up.

It was the dampness on her underwear and hunger.

Her eyes darted around to search for her phone before realizing that she was in a different world.

"Ugh…"

"My head hurts…"

"Why is there no delivery service in this fucking shithole of a world…?!"

After venting out her frustrations, she got up and removed her underwear and napkin.

When she saw the napkin, it was covered with blue stains and there were also tiny white chunks mixed in them, causing her to want to vomit.

She tossed the dirty napkin on one of the baskets she bought this morning. She covered the interior with a brown paper so that it wouldn't get dirty and she could easily wrap the trash all together once she decided to get rid of it.

And of course, she wasn't going to throw the trash, she was going to burn it which pained her greatly.

Vivian didn't have some hoarder sickness that she didn't want to separate herself from her trash. The truth was, it simply pained her that she had to burn her trash because she would be causing air pollution.

As someone who doesn't like dirty things, one of the few redeeming qualities that Vivian possesses is that she hates to cause pollution. She was the type who would rather keep her trash inside her bag or pocket than throw it away if she couldn't find a trashcan. It was something instilled in her by her family and also during her time studying at a private religious school.

What about her overhunting and being unkind to animals?

Well, that's a different topic altogether.

Wipe…

Wipe…

Vivian grabbed some wipes and wiped her kitty before throwing it at the trash basket.

I still feel dirty after the wipes…

Why don't the rooms here have their own bathrooms…?!

She then grabbed a fresh napkin and underwear and wore it. She also wore clothes -- a long-sleeve shirt, pants and a pair of sandals.

She went to the mirror.

She fixed her hair, wiped her face with a napkin that was specifically made for wiping faces, powdered her face and neck to cover the veins crawling from her neck to her chin, and put on red lipstick to cover her almost purple lips.

She also sprayed some cologne on herself. It was one of the things she bought from the salon the other day ago.

And after all that, she grabbed her White Cloak, water pouch and key before finally exiting her room.

She was heading to the Cafeteria to grab something to eat.

***

About 2 hours later…

Vivian returned to her room and was carrying a basket that had meals inside.

Earlier, when she got to the Cafeteria, she ordered her 2 free meals of the day. She also ordered 3 takeout meals, thus the basket, so that she wouldn't have to go out and specifically asked for something that could be used for traveling and wouldn't spoil after 24 hours.

And given that it was a takeout meal, it cost her 2 silvers each.

Vivian placed the basket on the side and stripped down to her bra and underwear.

She then checked everything -- the doors, windows, walls and floor.

Next, she grabbed one of the potions that she bought this morning from the Apothecary Shop for dealing with her period and drank it.

And after that, she went over to the middle of the room and sat down on the floor.

Okay…

Time to train my Magic Arts…!

Vivian activated a spell.

[Greater Origin Enchant].

A dark red lightning aura appeared on her right hand.

[Halo].

As soon as the golden ring started to manifest on her back, the dark red lightning immediately began to start crawling from her hand and to her back, causing the ring to grow up to 4 times bigger and ended up looking like a giant golden portal behind Vivian, illuminating the entire room.

She deactivated [Halo] and then repeated the process.

Day of Satur, 3:49 pm.

Vivian cast a spell.

[Greater Origin Enchant].

She cast another spell.

[Halo].

She deactivated [Halo] and cast another spell.

[Greater Origin Enchant].

[Halo].

She deactivated [Halo].

[Greater Origin Enchant].

Since last night, Vivian hasn't stopped training. The only time she stopped was when she ate food or had to go to the toilet and change her napkin.

She would also stop for a moment to recover all of her mana once her mana hits 0 points. After all, [Greater Origin Enchant] costs 10 mana points to cast and Vivian can only recover 1.5 mana points per second with her [Halo] buffed with [Greater Origin Enchant].

Other than that, it was non-stop training.

[Greater Origin Enchant].

[Halo].

Deactivate.

[Greater Origin Enchant].

[Halo].

Deactivate.

[Greater Origin Enchant].

[Halo].

Knock.

Knock.

Vivian's spirit almost jumped out of her because she thought she heard a knock on her door.

Knock.

Knock.

WHO THE FUCK IS TRYING TO BOTHER ME…?!

Vivian quickly deactivated [Halo] and turned to the door.

"Sister Vivian?" a female voice called out.

Lorei…?

Vivian's brows knitted together and she got up.

"Sister Lorie?"

"It's me, Sister Lorei."

I know, fucking bitch…!

What I want to know is why the fuck are you bothering me…?!

"Please wait for a moment, sister!"

Vivian got up and grabbed a dark blue silk robe before heading over to the door.

Ka-cha.

When she opened the door, she saw Lorei standing outside.

"Sister Lorei, sorry for my appearance. How may I help you?"

"Sister Vivian, I'm checking to see if there's anyone left here inside the dorm. I'm surprised to see you here."

"I see. But why, sister? Have I done anything wrong?"

As far as Vivian knows, Lorei was the head of the female dormitory.

"The Ranking Match at the Training Grounds is about to start and everyone is required to attend."

Vivian recalled that a ranking match would be held on the last day of every month. And those who could reach the Top 3 would win a complete set of mithril-grade armor. Also, those who already won in the past weren't allowed to participate.

Truth be told, she initially planned to participate in the Ranking Match in order to win the complete set of mithril-grade armor reward. But ever since her blood turned blue, she dropped the idea.

She also forgot that it was today.

"Huh? I must attend? Like participate in the match? Why?"

"No, sister. Only those who want to participate in the match can fight. But everyone is required to watch."

"Oh... I see. Sister, I'm very sorry, but I'm on my period right now. And since yesterday I haven't been feeling well that I even had to be absent at the teaching and feeding Holy Mission and I have yet to take a bath. I'm really in no condition to go out right now."

Lorei looked at Vivian's appearance.

Although her hair was tied, it was messy. Her face looked abnormally pale and was oily.

"I understand, sister. Please rest well," she said and smiled.

"Thank you, sister. Please enjoy the game -- I mean, watching the Ranking Match," Vivian said and smiled back.

"Sister, since you mentioned that you're not feeling well, do you need something?"

"Thank you for the offer, sister. But I think just need to rest."

"Okay. But just in case you need help, you can come find me at the office. Or for today, at the Ranking Match."

"I'll keep that in mind. By the way, sister, Sister Joaquin told me that there are napkins and wipes available at your office. Is it true?"

"Yes, would you like to purchase some?"

"No, but I'm thirsty right now. I haven't been out since last night due to the pain and I've run out of water. So I was wondering if you have some drinks being sold at your office."

Lorei let out a sigh.

"Truth be told, sister, I've been asking the Main Office for a long time already to build a small cafeteria or store here in the female dormitory that's exclusive for the tenants here. They just don't understand how hard it is for us women during our period. The management only wants one cafeteria and one apothecary shop shared by both dorms so that there would be unity."

Vivian didn't say anything.

"But I have some water containers inside my office. I can lend them to you."

"That would be helpful, sister. Can I go to your office right now to pick them up?"

Lorei held up a hand.

"I can deliver it to you and fill it up with some hot tea once I'm done checking all of the rooms. This is the last floor I have to check."

"It's okay. I can do it myself."

"It's okay, sister. Please allow me. And plus, I understand the pain."

"Okay, sister, if you insist. Thank you," Vivian said and smiled.

Lorei smiled back and then left.

Vivian closed the door and disrobed before resuming her training.

[Greater Origin Enchant].

[Halo].

Deactivate.

[Greater Origin Enchant].

[Halo].

Deactivate.

Truth be told, even if Vivian didn't have her period right now, she still wouldn't want to watch the Ranking Match. Even back in her original world, she had no interest whatsoever in watching sports to begin with.

To her, unless you're someone who's watching someone else play sports because you plan to incorporate the tactics they used in your training routine or you're betting, then sure, she could understand that.

But to watch someone else play sports just for fun --

Why?

What is the purpose?

What is the benefit?

To her, she would get more satisfaction from recording herself working out and watching her own video.

She would rather do something productive like work, exercise, read or listen to an audiobook.

The idea of watching someone else play sports just for fun was such an alien concept to her.

[Greater Origin Enchant].

[Halo].

Deactivate.

[Greater Origin Enchant].

[Halo].

Deactivate.

Hello guys, belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I have a few announcements to make:

1) I received my new laptop around the second week of December but I was already in vacation mode with my family so I wasn't able to write that much.

2) Starting now, I will drop most of the gimmicks I've been doing.

I just want to focus on writing and posting.

Having said that, I will only be posting 5 chapters per week here at WebNovel. Meanwhile, at Patreon, it would be at least 5 per week.

As to why, that's because in the later chapters I'm writing around 2,000 words each chapter compared to the earlier chapters which were only 1,200-1,500 each.

On top of that, I also have two small businesses that I'm managing and other personal matters.

So yeah, my hands are quite full and I hope that you will understand.

By the way, I posted some Chapter Drafts at P-a-t-r-e-o-n. And to view them, you can read them at…

There, you will have access to the Chapter Drafts for $5 a month.

Please note that the chapters posted there are only drafts. So when those said Chapter Drafts will be published here, there will be some edits. And at the moment, Chapter Drafts 207-219 are posted there.

I would like to give my special thanks for this month's Patrons:

Thank you once again and I will see you in the next chapter.

Again, belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
