At the Adventurer's Guild.

Vivian and Marie stepped inside the main hall.

Although there weren't that many people because it was noon time, everyone immediately turned their heads to look at them.

Vivian left her cloak and whip back at the compound and had her gold necklace hidden underneath her armor. She had her hair tied into a ponytail and was wearing leather armor with a white shirt underneath, a pair of fingerless gloves, a pair of worn-out green pants, a pair of old leather boots with metal plates covering its tip, and a kitchen knife hidden inside her left boot. In addition to that, on her waist, she had a small sack, a water pouch and her sword.

Meanwhile, for Marie, she too didn't wear her cloak and was wearing a full set of armor that covered from head to toe and had her necklace inside her armor. As for her weapons, she had a sword and a small mace around her waist.

Oh my God…

This is so embarrassing…

People must be thinking that Marie is a noble knight while I'm her squire or something...

Vivian tried protesting to Marie that she was overdressed but she argued that she didn't have any leather armor set. And even if she decided to buy one, she could order one which will take weeks to craft or go search for fixed sizes which will also take hours.

There was another issue -- her helmet.

Her reason for wearing such a helmet was because she didn't want to attract any attention with her beauty.

Vivian understood that part. But the issue was that Marie's hearing was a bit muffled due to the padding inside her helmet so Vivian had to either talk louder or communicate with her through hand gestures. She also tried to propose having Marie wait elsewhere while she processes a quest at the Adventurer Guild. However, Marie refused because she wanted to see how things go at the guild.

"Vivian!" a female voice called out.

Vivian turned to the direction of where the voice was coming from and saw Pana waving at her behind the counter.

She waved back and headed to Pana.

Marie followed behind her.

"Vivian, I just heard the news. Congratulations on becoming a Priest!"

Pana said excitedly that she would've hugged her if not for the counter separating them.

"Thanks. So the news has spread already?"

"Yes," Pana said and then turned to Marie. "Hi."

"Hello, my lady," Marie said and offered an elegant bow. "Please call me Knight Warrior."

"O-Okay, Ms. Knight Warrior…"

Vivian cast her gaze down in embarrassment.

Given that Marie was currently in "disguised", another request she made was that she wanted to be called Knight Warrior. This was to emphasize that she wasn't a Priest, but a Warrior.

"So Vivian -- I mean, Honored Priestess Vivian, what brings you here? Quest?"

Vivian shot her a deadpan expression.

"Seriously? You're going to call me that?"

Pana chuckled.

"It's not always I get to know someone who became a Priest and then I get to tease them."

Vivian massaged her temples.

Am I bound to attract more people like Pana and Marie in the future…?

This really would've been nice if I were still a man…

"Anyhow, I'm here to take a quest."

"Okay, give me a moment," Pana said and quickly opened her logbook.

Vivian held out a hand.

"It's okay, I can read now."

Pana raised her head and her face turned into a look of surprise.

"Wow, congratulations!"

"Thanks…" Vivian said as she scratched the back and let out an embarrassed smile.

"Well, in case you have some questions about a quest, don't be shy to come and ask me, okay?"

"Sure," Vivian said and then left.

Marie, on the other hand, nodded at Pana before following Vivian.

Pana nodded back as well.

Vivian and Marie arrived in front of the Quest Board and they both immediately read the quest papers posted on the board.

The quests were posted together by each rank so it was easy to find them.

Vivian's eyes landed on the Copper Rank quests.

Gather 30 Tusha Herbs and must be in good condition. Reward 10 copper coins, time limit 2 days…

Gather 15 tails of the Bukaroo bird. Reward 20 copper coins, time limit 3 days…

Special Quest: Search for a missing engagement ring. Last known location, The Silver Wing Inn. Reward 50 copper coins, time limit 30 days…

Vivian quickly tore out the quest paper for the Bukaroo tails.

Thank God this is still available…

Her eyes shifted to the Silver Rank quests.

Empty…

Her eyes then shifted to the Gold Rank quests.

Capture a baby ice Draghorn. Reward is 20 gold coins, time limit 30 days…

Special Quest: Hunt down Peons at Luminous Ruins. Reward is 10 right ears for 1 gold coin, no time limit…

Special Quest: Explore and investigate the lower floors of Luminous Ruins and must provide proof. Reward is 50 gold coins, no time limit…

Her eyes shifted to the Platinum Rank quests.

Empty…

Her eyes shifted to the Diamond Rank quests.

Empty as well…

And finally, her eyes shifted to the Colorless quests

Report any information about the Cult of Infinity. Reward is 20 platinum coins. No time limit…

Report any information about demons and demon-worshipers. Reward is 20 platinum coins. No time limit…

Vivian took a step back and reviewed all of the sections once again.

Hmm…

Interesting…

I didn't know there was a colorless quest…

Why didn't Pana mention this to me…?

Is it because it's common knowledge…?

She let out a small chuckle and shook her head.

Seriously…

She lamented about the idea of not even having basic knowledge of this world and not being able to read when she first arrived here.

I wonder how much is 1 platinum coin…

10 gold coins perhaps…?

Her eyes shifted to the Silver Rank quests.

I can understand if Platinum and Diamond are empty…

But Silver Rank…?

That can only mean one thing…

There are too many Silver Rank adventurers…

And now that I think about it…

So that's why people are that crazy every morning…

She recalled the chaotic scene she sees every morning here when the new set of Quests Papers will be posted.

So when I become Silver Rank, I will have 2 choices…

The first one is to join in the chaos every morning…

The second one is to join a higher-ranking party…

I'm seriously not liking this…

I prefer to adventure alone so that I can level up my skills as much as I want and also increase my Adventurer Rank and the color of my Cloak…

An idea flashed inside her head.

Or maybe I can set something up in advance with Pana…?

She shook her head.

She did mention that rigging the system is forbidden…

And even if she did decide to gamble her job for my sake, I would only owe her debts…

But I really don't want to party up with Adventurers…

She let out a snort.

Why am I even stressing myself over this…?

I'm still Copper I…

It will be a while before I even become Silver I…

I guess 2-3 months from now…?

"Hi!" a male voice suddenly said.

Vivian turned her head.

The one who spoke was a handsome man in his early 20s carrying 2 axes on his waists and had a Silver I pendant around his neck.

"Yes?"

"Are you a Priestess?"

"Why?"

"I noticed you taking a Quest Paper. Mind if my party and I join and help? You can have all of the rewards. I'm Saxton, by the way," the man said and smiled while extending his hand.

"I already have a party," Vivian said before turning and walking away with Marie following behind her.
