Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (2)

Ka-cha!

A door opened and Vivian and Marie entered one of the rooms inside the female dormitory.

"Please excuse me for the mess. For some reason, no matter how many times fix it, it just gets messy."

Vivian swept her gaze around as she walked in.

This is the first real bedroom I've entered in this world…

And it's a bedroom of a beautiful woman…

The room was a single bedroom. The bed was littered with so many clothes and there were different types of shoes underneath. On one side of the room, there was a huge cabinet and a dressing table with so many cosmetic items on top of its desk. And on the other side was an armor stand along with other weapons and equipment laid out on the floor.

Sniff.

Vivian discreetly breathed in.

At least it smells good...

Based on her experience, whether it's a man or a woman, both sexes can be total slobs. Instead, it actually falls under the person, not the gender. However, if there was anything she noticed between male and female spaces or rooms, men usually have fewer things, while women usually have more things.

As long as a man has a bed, some rack or hook where they can hang their clothes, a chair, a video console, 2 plates, 2 cups and 2 pairs of spoons and forks, they're already set.

"It's okay. You have a nice room," Vivian said and smiled.

"Choose anything you want," Marie said and pointed at the armor stand.

"Um…"

Vivian wasn't sure what to pick.

Although she will admit that she was still currently broke, she still had some shame and much as possible would want to make things fair.

"Do you have any punching gloves?"

"I only have gauntlets. You practice [Fist Mastery]?"

"Kinda."

"Well, you can take those gauntlets. They're not made for punching, but they're strong enough for punching."

Vivian stared at the pile of equipment.

There was only a single pair.

"Or you can take the whole set."

On the armor stand, there was a helmet, chain mail hood, breastplate, shoulder plate, chain mail shirt, and a pair of gauntlets and full greaves.

"No, I can't. That's too much."

"It's fine. I have other sets in the bank's vault."

"I still can't accept that. Also, can it even fit me? You're tall."

"Oh, right," Marie said and then pouted her cheeks for a moment. "Just take any weapon there. Most of them were just given to me as gifts."

"Gifts?" Vivian and then stared at the weapons.

By her estimate, there were at least 9 weapons ranging from swords, axes, maces and daggers. There was also a shield. And upon closer inspection, one could see that some were covered in dust because either they hadn't been touched or used for a long time.

"Some people who want to curry some favor from me even though I keep rejecting them. They also gave me Magic Items, such as rings and necklaces."

Vivian's eyes landed on the sword and shield.

Magic Items…?

She shook her head mentally.

Idiot…!

Of course, there would be Magic Items in this world…

It would be strange if there wasn't…

However…

I can't take more than one item…

Not even an expensive one…

The last thing I want is to owe somebody…

"I want a sword. Which one there is the cheapest?"

Marie, who was looking for clothes inside the cabinet, didn't stop to turn to Vivian and said, "I don't know. I forgot what kind of metal grade those are, but they're between Mithril to Adamantite."

Vivian stared at her helplessly.

This woman…

Well, she did say that she's from the nobility…

On top of that, she's also beautiful…

So I guess it makes sense for women like her not to care about such things…

"Which sword here do you dislike the most?"

Marie turned around and showed her two padded jackets -- one was black and the other was brown.

"Which one do you prefer? Or should we both wear the same color?"

"What?"

"I want us to dress each other."

"No thanks, I'm good."

"You already have something to where?"

A confused expression flashed across Vivian's face.

"Huh? What are you talking about?"

"We're going on an adventure, right? So I'm asking if you already have something to wear. And if possible, I want to match you."

Vivian almost coughed out blood.

"Sister Marie... I'm already wearing it…"

Marie's brows knitted together and looked at Vivian's attire.

Aside from the brown cloak and gold necklace, she could see that she was wearing leather armor with a white shirt underneath, a pair of fingerless gloves, a black whip about 2 feet long, a pair of worn-out green pants, and a pair of old leather boots with a metal plate covering its tips.

"So Adventurers only wear something like that when doing quests?"

Vivian almost coughed out blood once again.

"Hey, you know I'm poor, right? I'm Copper Rank and Brown Cloak."

Marie's face immediately turned pale and she closed her mouth as she gasped.

"Sister Vivian, please forgive me! I didn't mean to offend you or anything!"

"It's okay," Vivian replied and waved a hand.

"Please let me buy you a new set of armor as an apology. Also, as a member of the Temple of Priests, we need to present ourselves to a certain standard."

Marie quickly stepped forward and reached out for Vivian's hand.

"No, no, no. Stop it," Vivian said as she evaded. "Look, I'm not offended. And as much as possible, I don't want people buying stuff for me. It makes me feel uncomfortable. I prefer to earn things on my own or at least engage in a business deal where it's fair and square."

Marie was about to protest but stopped.

She understood where Vivian was coming from. In her case, many people were constantly giving her gifts even though she never asked for them. And no matter how much rejection or cold shoulders she gave them, they would still find a way to send her gifts.

As a matter of fact, if she hadn't rejected any of the gifts, her room would've been filled with gifts already.

"I understand, sister," she said with a serious and determined look on her face. "You asked me which sword I dislike the most, right?"

"Yes."

She went over to the weapons. She picked up a sword and unsheathed it from its scabbard.

"This sword isn't really to my liking because the guard is too short and I don't like the color. I prefer something longer and I like it silver to match the color of my cloak and cape. And in regards to the metal used in creating this sword, I'm not sure but I like to assume that it's at least Mithril."

The guard of the sword she was holding was indeed shorter compared to the rest of the swords. However, the blade was wider, almost close to the guard's length. Meanwhile, for the color, although the handle was covered in black leather, the pommel and guard were color gold. And as for the length of the sword, it was just a normal length.

"I'll take that then. Thank you, sister."

Marie handed the sword over to Vivian.

"I'm glad you like it, sister. By the way, sister…" Marie said sheepishly and looked to the side for a moment before finally returning her gaze to Vivian. "I don't have any leather armor set. And since you're already dressed, can you help me wear my armor? You can take another weapon if you want."

Vivian glanced at the armor.

Although she didn't have that much interest in medieval stuff back in her original world, she has at least seen enough movies and shows to know that a person can't put on a set of armor on their own. Just with the tying of the knots alone was an impossible feat. One needed help from another person, like a squire or something.

"Sorry, I really would like to help you even if you didn't offer anything. But the truth is, I have no idea how to put on armors."

"I understand. My apologies, sister, but I need to take these to the blacksmith and have them help me wear it. I'm really sorry for wasting your time."

"Please don't mention it. I really don't mind," Vivian said and flashed a kind and warm smile.
