Whooosh!

BRAAAK!

Vivian swung her poleaxe and shattered a Treebark's body using her weapon's hammer.

She continued moving forward and was in front of a Sunkiss or what Vivian used to refer to as Sunflower Monster.

Chak.

She stabbed the monster's head with the spear blade of her poleaxe and then lifted the monster above the air with one hand.

The monster thrashed around, causing the spear blade of Vivian's weapon to slowly rip its head upward.

[Fire Arrrow].

Woooh!

Sss…

An arrow made out of flames burst out of Vivian's free hand and shot right through the monster's head.

Thud.

The lifeless monster's body fell down to the ground.

Vivian let out a sigh.

She took out her water pouch and opened it.

Gulp.

Gulp.

Gulp.

"Ah…"

"I wish it was cold though…"

"Yeah, a cold energy drink…"

She returned her water pouch to her waist.

"Come to think of it, is it possible to hold a monster and the cast magic on them?"

"Let's try it out."

Vooom!

She burst out into a run.

A couple of steps away, she noticed a Green Nake up ahead hanging up on a tree.

When the snake turned to face in the direction of where the foreboding feeling was coming from, Vivian was already up in the air and her hand in front of its face.

"Gotcha!"

Thud.

Vivian's hand gripped the snake's face tightly without crushing it, just enough not to let it open its mouth and bite her before landing on the ground.

The snake thrashed wildly on Vivian's hand before wrapping its body around Vivian.

"Ew…" Vivian said and shivered as she felt the snake's body wrapping around her body and trying to crush her.

She titled her head to the side.

Hmm…

Can this animal crush me…?

She waited for a minute.

The snake continued to wrap its body around her and she felt some tightness here and there but she it wasn't enough to crush her.

Looks like my physical defense is still too weak…

But then again, this is a snake…

So it has some leverage from crushing things…

It's not like a human hand…

"Okay, play time's over."

She tried to cast a spell with her hand that was holding the snake.

[Fire Arrow].

Nothing came out.

[Wind Arrow].

Nothing came out.

I also didn't feel like I spent some mana…

[Poison Strike].

Psssh!

A green water-like aura appeared on her hand and it exploded into a small green mist.

The Green Nake suddenly felt weak and its body hung loosely around her.

"I see."

Thud.

Vivian release the snake's head on her hand and it fell on the ground.

Thud.

It tried to bite Vivian's leg but its head was quickly pinned down by a boot.

"Let's try this."

She crouched down and held her hand a few inches above the snake's body.

[Wind Arrow].

Woooh!

An arrow made out of green aura burst out of Vivian's hand and shot through the snake's body, causing it to thrash wildly despite still being weakened by Vivian's poison attack.

Splat.

Vivian pressed her boot down further and squashed the snake's head.

"I see…"

"So there must be some space in order for that type of magic to come out…"

Voooom!

Vivian burst out into a run to search for more enemies.

A couple of steps later...

Beak!

Beak!

Vivian stopped and searched for the Bukaroo.

When she spotted the bird, she immediately rushed towards it.

Whooosh!

Thud.

Thud.

The bird was sliced into two pieces in mid-air before crashing to the ground.

Vooom!

Vivian resumed running.

She already collected 15 pieces of Bukaroo tails a long time ago so she didn't bother extracting its tail.

A few steps later…

She saw a Yellow Wako, which Vivian used to refer to as fox, up ahead and headed right straight to it.

The fox noticed Vivian and charged towards her.

Vivian smiled and slowed down so that the fox can jump at her.

Rawr!

Suuup!

As soon as the fox jumped to bite her, she stabbed it in the mouth with the spear blade of her poleaxe.

Vivian watched the fox hang on the tip of her spear blade's weapon as it struggled for the remaining moments of its life.

A few seconds later, the fox's body hung lifelessly.

Whooosh!

Thud.

Vivian swung her weapon, causing the fox's body to whip out of her weapon and then land on the ground.

And just as she was about to burst out into a run, she noticed something.

A Paparu was charging towards her, ready to stab her with its 15-inch horn.

Vivian smiled before focusing, causing the world to move slow through her eyes.

She raised her poleaxe up in the air and aimed with the hammer.

Bam!

Crack!

The rabbit-like monster was crushed to death.

Vivian let out a sigh.

Vooom!

She burst out into a run.

A couple of steps later…

Up ahead she saw a Brown Kraine and headed straight to it.

The wolf-like monster turned to her and charged.

Whooosh!

Braaang!

Thud, thud, thud… Chud!

Just when the monster was about to enter Vivian's attack range, she slowed down and did a spinning attack, cutting monster's face and opening it down to its neck. However, what Vivian didn't expect was that her poleaxe also snapped into two in the process and the head rolled over to the side on the ground a few times before hitting a tree's root.

Vivian stared at the missing head of the staff of her poleaxe and her jaw dropped.

"What the fuck...?"

She glanced at where the head landed.

Pah!

She slapped her forehead.

"Oh great!"

"Seriously?!"

"Like are you really serious?!"

"It hasn't even been a week since I got this!"

"How long was it?!"

"3 days?!"

I think…

"Anyways… FUCKING HELL!!!"

She let out a sigh before heading to where the head landed.

When she got to the head, she didn't pull it from the root and pick it up right away. Instead, she just stared at it.

Well, this is made out of silver…

And that clerk from the Blacksmith Shop did say that my physical strength is around silver…

Which is why I was careful enough not to use Physical Arts…

She then remembered how many times she used Physical Arts on it.

"Okay, I admit, I used a few times…'

"But it was under 20 times…"

"So why…?"

"And plus it's fucking brand new!"

An idea popped inside her head.

"Unless, of course, that shop were secretly selling used items…"

"I bought it with a coupon after all…"

"So the possibility is high…"

She gritted her teeth.

"Those fucking bastards!"

She pulled out the head from the root and then picked it up.

Tch!

She clicked her tongue.

Looks like silver grade weapons are useless to me now…

And it didn't even last for a week…

Well, at least I was able to level up the body art of my [Axe] and [Hammer Mastery]…

"Yeah, fuck the [Spear Mastery]!"

"I don't even like it!"

"Whoever thought about that concept is a complete idiot!"

"I mean, hello? There's stats, there's Physical Arts and Magic Arts. So why? I swear to God I wouldn't be surprised if it was created by a stupid, short and worthless weakling with no sense of aesthetics!"

She recalled the kid named Torr carrying a spear.

"Well, maybe I can give this to that kid after repairing it."

Her pride wouldn't allow her to gift something that is broken unless the receiver specifically asked for it before she could even tell the receiver about it.

In her mind, that's no different from spitting on someone's face.

Even she would be offended if someone did that to her.

Another idea popped inside her head.

"Maybe I should just resell it?"

She shook her head.

I've already started investing on those kids…

She raised her and look up at the sky.

It was still sunny. And by her estimate, it was still around 3:00 pm.

She let out a sigh.

"This is going to be such a hassle heading back…"
