Twenty one

As Samuel being in daze, it's like he lost his soul for a few seconds.. 'The hell?' he muttered in his mind as he kept on blinking.

Mikaela on the other hand is just looking at Samuel flatly.

"What are you talking about Mikaela?, can you please enlighten me?!" Samuel said, slightly raised his voice but zipped it real quick when he noticed that his babe is frowning.

"Why are you shouting? The fuck? You told me to ask, yeah?" Mikaela said—no, delete that— she yelled back.

Samuel rub his forehead while murmuring 'idiot' to his self.

"No. Sorry babe I --" she cut her off.

"Don't babe me!" she hissed..

Samuel stilled. In his mind, he doesn't know the word 'under' but now, it's the opposite. It's the total eclipse. But it's fine tho. He loved being under with this woman.

So, he started calming his voice, to make it sure that the soothing tone come out. He's not pussy, he's just gentleman.. 'yeah.. I am' he nodded on his thoughts.

"Okay. First of all, Tina is my ex. We've been engaged for 3 years. Arrangements of my grandparents and hers. You see?, since I'm in this world, I dont have my own life Mika.

He swallowed and then blows a soft breath.

"All of the things, all of the decisions for my life, all of it! Shits, good or bad came from my grandpa. For me, I don't have the right to feel love, I dont have the right to choose my own wife, I dont have the right to choose my own life, my own hobby, my own passion."

His voice crack.

"Until the year that my grandfather passed away. All I thought I am already free, but hell no, the company left on my shoulder, it was hell. It wasn't easy. Good thing, the whole clan, I mean the lunatics was there 'till now to back me up— Samuel let out a shaky laugh —And my fiancee did crazy things-which is, well did a great favor for me.

Samuel once again sighed, breath and continued.

"Why? Because I dont feel anything for her. We kissed. We fuck. But there's no love involved. She left with another guy. She put me into troubles. But then, once again and as what I said earlier, my cousin's always there to the rescue.

They did a great job, they took care of everything. The scandal between me and that woman vanished. And then you came, for four months, I'm in hell, you dont know how I control the hell out of me Mika.."

He put his two hands on both side pockets of his denim pants that made Mikaela suck her breath. His eyes were on her and his lips tugged up when he noticed what Mika did.

But instead of showing her that he knew she gave in to his simple gesture, he chose to continue and give her the details once and for all.

It's necessary though.

Samuel felt like burning in his cheeks but he ignored it.

A tear fell on his cheeks. While Mika is sobbing. "Then why you didn't reach out on me?" she said, her voice cracked as Samuel bite his lower lip not to cry harder and murmured 'Ahh. My heart' in his mind.

He wanted to hug her, to cage her into his arms. To kiss her, to let her feel his heart beating, but he can't.

He need to focus on enlightening her mind. To atleast give her every fucking details of the problem his ex did.

" It's because Tina is causing trouble again. She attack the company trough her boyfriend. It's was good as heaven that the IT department worked in advance and they caught her bad doings and backup the file to the safe account.

They, I mean, She and her boyfriend tried to hack the company files, she wants the company, not me. All along, the company is her target that's why he chose to be engaged with me. Lately, we found out that she used me in order to get what she wanted. Fame, money and power.

And thats why mama is here, she got stressed just because of what Tina told her. believe me, I tried. So much baby. It's not just you who had pain, who had hurt "

This time, he couldn't hide his crying voice anymore. And he let it be. Samuel is crying. And she's crying more. Samuel cupped Mikaela's face.

Holding his gaze on her, Mikaela saw, His Eyes are sparkling with tears.

" It was more painful for me, seeing you lonely. Hurting and crying. You really thought that I don't know a thing? And how can I get near you if Tina plead to kill you if she will see me come to you? Hell no! I will not risk your life!" he said with a sharp tone.

"S-Samuel!" she's in pain. Mikaela's sobbing was shouting pain. It was like her heart is too heavy that needs to be empty.

She's having a great thinking, a conscience was now consuming her mind and soul because all the while, he had been in the worst situation than hers.

And yet, she let her heart feel like he's the one abandoned her. Though it was the other way around.

"I'm sorry baby, please? I can't baby, I miss you so much, I want to hug you, to kiss you. Badly. But I can't, because if there's anything I want in this world, I will choose for you to think that I abandoned and dumped you instead of seeing you.. Lifeless! "Samuel said teary-eyed.

And for Mikaela, she knew he was reasonable enough. She cleared her throat and tried to calm her self.

"Tina came to me, she said you and her will be tying the knot for a short period of time, and do you know how painful that was for me?"

'shit' she muttered on her self. She said a little while back that she needs to be calm but who is she bullshiting?

She's hurting while rewining the things Tina did.

" But you know what's the most painful part? That is the truth that I couldn't do anything. what are we in the first place? Nothing right? Just like her, we kissed. We fucked. No label." she couldn't control her voice that went cold.

Samuel gritted his teeth.

"Says who? you're my everything Mika, you are mine and mine alone, whether you like it or not!, you think I black mailed you for nothing?" he was so serious that he even clenched his jaws.

".. You-what?!" it was like Mikaela felt that her eyes went big within 3 inches the way she looked at him, startled, confused and —surprised.

Samuel grin.

"Don't you know who is the CEO here?" Samuel asked, frowning and wondering like what the fuck is she trying to tell him again this time?

Mikaela shrugged her shoulder "Nope. I work under the head nurse that's all, and as per the ceo, I dont care really" she said while giggled, softly.

Samuel chuckled.

"Silly , the CEO here is my cousin. Thadeius Felix Bautista, thats why this hospital named KTHGH as King T.H General hospital. So, he used the Bautista way for me, to have time to talk. Blackmail. That's our way. Though not all the time" he smiled shyly.

Mikaela couldn't say anything. Then her small narrow eyes narrowed two times when she remembered one thing.

"Who are they? I mean, the girls a while ago?"

They're now sitting, but they're still facing each other and Samuel is holding Mikaela's hands.

She can feel the longing by the way he is holding her hands. It was tight and yet, it's tender. Full of care.

Samuel smiled. "My cousins, this is us, one for all, all for one." he was just staring dearly to Mikaela's hands.

As Mikaela being that curious, she asked another question. "the who is uno?, they said uno will kill them. Because I stood up and tried to went out" she said that made Samuel chuckled.

Mikaela stared at him. How she miss this man. 'So much that it kills me' she murmured.

"That's me. That's my code name everytime we caused a bad activity or troubles or if we were in critical stage that we knew our life could lead into danger not literally, but I'm talking figuratively " he said, chuckling.

Mikaela snorted. "What.. There's second, third, 'till tenth?"

Samuel placed his Elbows to his legs then lean forward towards her.

"Yeph, we have" he nodded.

"And why is that?" Mikaela swallowed her own saliva the way he is looking at her. So intense and so near that making her heart stopped from beating. She's shivering all over her body. She can smell his breathing and it's giving her fluttering inside her.

"For the elders to not know anything about the things we've done"

She closed her eyes.

Mikaela knows, there's nothing wrong with forgetting. Forgiving this man isn't that bad, most especially when his wet lips landed to hers and there's nothing in her mind than... 'hallelujah'
