1 A Little Introduction

Some time ago, there were stable societies and normal people. Science was advancing towards a new golden age for the world. Worlds to be precise, humanity had expanded past our solar system to a new system called Alpha Centauri. After this new inhabitable discovery, there was great peace and humanity declared a golden age lasting 260 years. Science flourished with new possibilities and discovered genetic mutations. The two Solar Systems worked together to share these new breakthroughs and exposed it to the public. The higher class got the first rights to the doses that were said to increase speed, strength and agility. Thus creating the first super humans. Not long after it was available to all citizens. It was a new race and then became a standard everywhere. People reached new hights and records were broken. Then, as soon humanity settled and got comfortable, something unimaginable happened. A mass wave of asteroids swept through the original Solar System, destroying planets and taking out colonies one by one. After all the destruction there were only three colonies left. The base on Mars, a colony on Titan of Jupiter, and the last stronghold on Earth. The devastating loss of half of the population left only three billion seven hundred sixty-five million people. The loss of resources caused those numbers to dwindle as well. They requested help from The Alpha Empire in which out of pity, the empire did so. Unfortunately they were overcome with pride and greed and the OSS kept taking and taking. In fear that their own resources would be drained, the Alpha Empire stops trade with the OSS. In a last act of desperation the OSS gathered all their able men and started a war with the Empire. It was a bloody war, both side suffered losses but by the numbers in the Empire they were able to defeat the OSS. They set up a base in the Mars colony and renamed the Solar System to Battu. The Battu citizens over time became content with their low status and no power. The fair rule of the Empire spared them slavery and for that the Battu were greatful. In a search for new resources the Alpha Empire came across an unused planet that was evacuated during the war and dedicated it to the Battu. All left over colonies abandoned the OSS with or without force and adapted to a uneasy but peacful life living on the planet called Morth. Over time, with constant exposure to the edge of the Solar System of Alpha Centauri the Battu evolved and became a new species altogether. With constant DNA changes the Battu received unbelievable powers but with the DNA changing rapidly fast, the old could not keep up and soon later the older generations died out. The world changed into a society of youth without human limitations. The Alpha Empire grew worried and so decided to use this oppurtunity to seclude the Battu and research them. Contact with other worlds and Battu were cut off. Scientists took the youngest of children to labs experimented with their newfound test subjects. It was a horrible process for the children so for years they were tortured just for their genetic makeup. Every newborn child was taken and was gone either until they were six or they died in the process. This caused the Battu to outrage but as a compromise the Empire gave them considerable wealth for every child they gave up for science. It is to say that the Battu were ruthless even against their own and ended up very well off. After the children were returned, they were monsters and the only way to control them was military discipline. They were all in military academies on Battu for the next 12 years of their life. Only after could they decide what life to choose. Either that of a civilian of Battu or that of a high ranking officer. It was safe to say that most went into military life only to retire later and start families. The planet Morth was a military base with all the best soldiers, the best academies and the best genetics. Forced into a life of seclusion and hiding because of their overwhelming abilities. Years later full of the same routines, the Alpha Empire uncovered a hostile race of extraterrestrial threatening life in the Empire. After provoking the aliens, an unnecessary war broke out on the life forms called Xolia of planet Meedla. With the research on Battu citizens and their abilities they managed to share the genetic information with the Alpha Centauri citizens. Although it produces weaker abilities within the host, it was still an advantage against the Xolia. This was their salvation. The Battu were the answer to winning the war.
