Chapter 1: The System

10 Years have passed since the prologue.

Inside of a large canyon was a vast assortment of buildings, many of which had walls separating them.

(A/N: Think of how the inner and outer walls are divided in AOT. Sect masters quarters are the center, then the elder housing, the core disciples, inner than outer and lastly markets and things.)

Within the centermost wall was a large red, four story pagoda and a sparring ring, with a large garden next to it.

And inside of the large pagoda on the 3rd floor, a ten year-old dark skinned boy with pitch black hair could be seen. He was sitting in lotus position meditating with a finely made brown wooden sword on his lap.

This boy was Heng Jin, who was currently comprehending the eternal sword principle. And while was in this state, a golden aura surrounded him and a low buzzing sound could be faintly heard.

This buzzing sound was proof of his slight achievement in comprehending.

A few minutes later Heng Jin got up from the lotus position and stretched, after that he unsheathed his sword. The blade was pure silver, and reflective, almost like a mirror.

He stepped forward and struck down, stepped back and struck down again. He repeated this movement about 100 times, and then he did the same but horizontally on both sides.

After practicing for about 4 hours he sheathed his sword, put it on his side and went up to the fourth floor.

On the fourth floor of the pagoda there was a pitch black door which was usually locked, this was the Sect Master's room. However Heng Jin was actually unaware of this, and knocked on the door.

*Knock Knock*

"Father I've finished my training for the day, and I'd like to spar with you again. I think that I had a breakthrough with my swordsmanship so I'd like your guidance."

But there was no response, and it was completely quiet.

*Knock Knock*

"Father..? Are you there?"

Again there was no response and Heng Jin had a slightly impatient expression on his face.

He simply opened the door, which to him was greatly startling since he never expected it to open.

However, there was no one inside the room.

The room itself was surprisingly small, there was a simple neatly made bed, and a simple desk with a brush and scrolls.

The room also had a patio, and another room which was most likely a bathroom or a closet.

However, Heng Jin didn't dare to intrude since he understood that he should not be in there in the first place.

After looking around for a few minutes, he gave up and left the room, and instead of going back to rest he continued to train diligently.

However after a while he lost focus as a thought went crossed his mind:

'Why is it that father never lets me go outside of the house?'

(A/N: Allow me to fill you in. Heng Jin is the one that was born in the prologue if you haven't automatically assumed so. And his current location is indeed the Eternal Sword Sect, however he is completely oblivious to this because his father never let him leave the pagoda, not told him basic knowledge.)

After a while Heng Jin started to deeply ponder this, but then the door to the training hall suddenly opened.

"Little Xiao Jin, are you here?"

A female voice could be heard, as a very curvy female figure walked into the room.

(A/N: A good picture of her would be a taller Shinobu Kocho, with curves and bust comparable to Lucy Heartfilia. Her hair is pitch black and her eyes are sea foam green.)

This was Yu Xiaohua, the 3rd Elder of the sect. However, again, Heng Jin is oblivious to this and refers to her as..

"Big Sister Xiaohua!"

The boy's face instantly brightened as he ran up and jumped at her, the two hugged and laughed as they spun around.

The scene was truly wholesome despite the world they lived in.

(A/N: For a clear picture of this scene try to find a gif of Steven Universe hugging himself.)

The pair soon let go of each other and started to talk.

"So Xiao Jin, how has your training been going?"

"Ah? Oh my training, I think that I broke through to the Peak of Qi Origin Realm in my cultivation. And I think I have comprehended the 3rd level of the Eternal Sword Technique."

Lu Xiaohua blinked in surprise and confusion.

"Oh? Why do you say that you 'think' so?"

"That's because father usually tells me where I'm at when we spar, I'm not sure how to tell where I am at myself."

Lu Xiaohua nodded in understanding.

"I see, well we can spar if you want to, oh and your 1st and 2nd older brother are coming over later today."

Heng Jin's eyes instantly brightened again, radiating so much excitement it could blind someone.

"Really?! Are they going to bring more cool things from their adventures?!"

Lu Xiaohua chuckled at his reaction.

"Yes, they told me they have lots of fun things for you to play with. But enough chit-chat I wanna see where you are with your cultivation."

"Yes!"

The two got up and distanced themselves from each other, Lu Xiaohua waved her hand and a beautifully made rapier appeared.

(A/N: Think of Asuna's Rapier but with the main color as black and the blade being jade green, with the lining still being silver.)

She smirked at him, and got into a fighting position.

"Go!"

She said suddenly before disappearing from her position, and reappearing behind Heng Jin.

She then moved quickly and shot out a flurry of attacks that could almost not be seen with the naked eye.

Of course Heng Jin was not slow and quickly reacted, he turned around and started to parry each blow with an inhuman reaction speed.

The symphony of clashing swords echoed through the room.

This bit lasted for about 15s before both parties jumped back and charged at each other.

CLANG!

After this exchange both parties nodded at each other with satisfied smiles.

"You've grown Xiao Jin, to think you are only ten years old yet your talent is comparable to outer court disciples…"

Heng Jin tilted his head in confusion.

"What are 'Outer Court Disciples?'"

"AHEM! I uh, it was a slip of the tongue, sorry, what I meant to say was. Get stronger because you're not strong enough yet."

"Strong enough for what?"

"You'll know in time."

With that, Lu Xiaohua turned around and left as abruptly as she came.

Heng Jin sighed, then his expression darkened immensely and he let out an annoyed growl.

"UGGGGGGHHHH!"

He fell back onto the floor and yelled.

"WHY DOESN'T ANYONE TELL ME ANYTHING!! IT'S NOT FAIR! WHY AM I NEVER STRONG ENOUGH TO KNOW?!?!"

This was Heng Jin's current way to relieve some stress when he knows for certain no one can hear him..

He usually does this when similar things happen, so it becomes a normal occurrence every once in a while.

However this time something abnormal occurred.

Heng Jin's sword started to glow and a golden light flew from it and landed in between his eyebrows.

And then a voice echoed inside of his head.

[The System has been activated according to the Host's will.

Objective: Become so strong that nobody will dare to ignore the Host.]

[Configuring Tutorial….]

[Downloading Tutorial into Host's memory bank.]

As soon as these words were said a massive amount of information flowed into Heng Jin's brain.

Things ranging from how to use the system to what he should do next.

A gleam of understanding flashed through Heng Jin's eyes.

"Open the 'Daily Prize Box'"

[Opening….]

[You have received: The Way Of The Sword manual, Unparalleled.]

"What's that?"

['The way of the sword manual' is actually an unparalleled sword technique composed of basic techniques that can defeat any sword style.]

"Woah, really?!"

[That is correct Host.]

"Wait but.. I'm already learning a sword technique.."

[It's okay Host, the system can simply wipe all of its progress so that you can start over and cultivate 'The Way Of The Sword'.]

"Okay let's do it!"

[Warning! This may hurt a bit so the system will temporarily knock you out.]

"Wait wha-?"

And then, he blacked out.
