30 Chapter Thirty

(Uptown 777 Grant Wood Road, Time: 2:12 Pm)

Selina, better known as Catwoman, decided to surprise Jayden today by visiting his barbershop.

It was Jayden's day off so she thought why not, and as Selina unlocked open the door, she didn't see anyone on the bottom floor, so she made her way up.

You might be wondering why Selina could just enter when the shop was supposed to be closed.

Well over the past month and a half, they have grown rather close, to the point that if Selina or Lola couldn't stay home they would have Jayden cat sit, and the same goes for them as well. So they decided to just give each other a key to their apartments.

As she ascended the stairs to the rooftop, her curiosity piqued. She hadn't seen Jayden anywhere so he must have been up on the roof.

She wondered what Jayden might be up to in his free time. As she reached the top, she saw a surprising sight—Jayden in the middle of a mini photoshoot, with his beloved black cat, Raven, as the star.

Selina couldn't help but chuckle at the scene. "Well, well, Jayden. You certainly know how to make a statement, even on your day off." she teased, her eyes sparkling mischievously.

Jayden turned, his face flushing slightly with surprise. "Selina! What a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting to see you here."

Selina smirked and walked closer, observing the makeshift set Jayden had created. "So, care to enlighten me on this little photoshoot? I never knew you had a hidden modelling career with your feline companion."

Jayden laughed, scratching behind Raven's ears. "Oh, it's nothing like that. You see, I've been hanging out with the cat owners in the neighbourhood, and we started exchanging pictures of our pets. I thought it would be fun to create a catalogue and calendar featuring all the adorable cats in our community."

Selina's eyes widened in amusement. "You've turned into a cat paparazzo, Jayden? I must say, this is quite a unique endeavour."

Jayden shrugged, a sheepish grin spreading across his face. "I guess you could say that. It's just a way to bring a little joy and laughter to everyone's lives. And Raven here is the star of the show, of course."

Selina couldn't help but be drawn to the idea. "You know what? This sounds like a fun project. Count me in. I can't resist a good photo op, especially when it involves adorable feline companions."

And so, Jayden and Selina spent the afternoon capturing playful moments and striking poses with Raven.

As they continued to chat, Jayden couldn't help but notice a glimmer of excitement in Selina's eyes.

It was the perfect opportunity to ask about Lola, the friend he hadn't seen lately.

"By the way, Selina, how's Lola doing? I haven't seen her around much." Jayden inquired, his voice filled with genuine concern.

Selina's smile turned nostalgic. "Lola has been keeping herself busy. She's taken a step towards her dream of opening her own bar. She's currently learning the ropes, shadowing at one of the best bars in Los Angeles."

Jayden's eyes sparkled with pride for Lola. "That's incredible! I always knew she had a passion for the bar scene. It's amazing to see her pursuing her dreams."

Selina nodded, her voice filled with admiration. "Indeed, she's quite determined. She's not one to postpone her life, and she's fully committed to making her dreams a reality, me and two other acquaintances are gonna assist her when she thinks she's ready."

Jayden's excitement grew, and he couldn't help but ask, "So, who else is involved in this venture? You mentioned others are supporting Lola."

Selina smirked mischievously, enjoying the suspense. "Ah, that's a secret for now, Jayden. But rest assured, Lola has a solid support system backing her up."

Jayden nodded, not concerned at all that what Selina was telling him was a lie.

As Jayden and Selina finally finished with the photoshoot they made their way downstairs to Jayden's living room, but were stopped by the voice on the radio saying something that caught their attention.

The music abruptly changed to a news report, discussing a recent daring burglary orchestrated by none other than Catwoman.

Selina's ears perked up, and she glanced at Jayden with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "So, Jayden, what do you think of Catwoman? A woman with such finesse and a penchant for the finer things in life."

Jayden smirked, knowing Selina's playful nature all too well. "Well, Selina, I have to admit she's quite impressive. A master of stealth and agility, with a taste for the extravagant. It's hard not to be intrigued by her."

Selina raised an eyebrow, a sly smile forming on her lips. "Intrigued, huh? Could it be that you have a little crush on our feline friend?"

Jayden leaned back, feigning deep thought.

"Hmm, well, you know how much I appreciate your company. And if I were to choose between a mysterious cat burglar and a captivating woman like yourself, well... let's just say I might lean more towards my dear friend Selina."

Selina's playful smile faltered for a split second, a hint of flattery mixed with annoyance dancing in her eyes. "Oh, is that so? And why is that, Jayden?"

Jayden grinned mischievously, fully aware of the effect his words were having. "Well, for one, I don't think Catwoman could pull off that perfect smoky eye look quite like you.

And let's not forget your impeccable sense of fashion. I mean, your body shape and Catwoman's are surprisingly similar, don't you think?"

Selina rolled her eyes, though a blush tinged her cheeks. "Oh, please. I know exactly what you're doing, Jayden. Flattery mixed with a dose of teasing. You're lucky you're so charming."

Jayden laughed, enjoying their playful banter. "Hey, I call it like I see it. But in all seriousness, Selina, you're a force to be reckoned with. A woman of many talents and layers. Catwoman may have her allure, but you, my friend, are in a league of your own."

Selina's annoyance melted away, replaced by a genuine smile. "You certainly have a way with words, Jayden. I guess I can't help but appreciate your compliments, even if they're disguised as teasing."

"But I kind of like that side of you..." Selina said while an idea suddenly popped into her head.

"Hey, Raven got her own private photo shoot, but what about this little kitty." Selina said in a seductive tone. She pressed herself against Jayden and gently whispered into his ear.

"Oh, are you suggesting that I should have a personal photoshoot of you in a Catwoman costume?" Jayden quipped with a hint of mischief in his voice.

Selina raised an eyebrow, a sly smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "Well, Jayden, if you promise to capture my best angles and showcase the essence of Catwoman, I might just consider granting you that permission."

Jayden feigned astonishment, placing a hand over his heart. "Selina, you truly know how to tempt a guy. Though I must admit, seeing you donning that sleek black suit would be quite a sight."

" Then...if you can* Whispers, Whispers Whispers*...I'll put on the costume." Selina had whispered something into his ear and the more she said the redder his face became."

" Like...Right now." Jayden asked pausing for a quick second.

Selina just bit her lip and replied." Right now tiger."

Jayden gulped, she didn't need to tell him twice. Jayden immediately picked up Selina and dragged her into his bedroom.

Soon after screams of Euphoria could be heard through the walls, and Raven who had been peacefully resting on the sofa had to cover her ears.
