32 Chapter Thirty-One

Jayden finally went upstairs to relax after a busy day at the barbershop, he was feeling a mix of mental exhaustion and relief.

Jayden was glad that the day was over, but also sad that it was over, it was a weird feeling to have.

As he stepped into his cosy apartment, he couldn't help but notice a "For Sale" sign hanging on the building next to his.

His mind began to wander, envisioning the possibility of maybe buying this property.

The thought of expanding his barbershop had always lingered in the back of Jayden's mind.

He loved his current space, but he also knew that there were limitations to what he could offer in terms of services and amenities.

The building next door seemed like the perfect opportunity to fulfil his dreams of expansion.

He contemplated the potential of owning the adjacent property.

It would allow him to create a larger and more versatile space for his barbershop, offering additional services and accommodating more customers.

Not to mention that even If he didn't use it for the barbershop he could use it for other things, like building a garage for a possible car.

Jayden's mind wandered to another desire he had long harboured.

He had always dreamed of owning a car and or motorcycle.

If he bought one of those it would give him the freedom to explore Gotham City and beyond without relying solely on taxis or public transportation.

It was an aspiration he had put on hold, considering his financial commitment to the barbershop.

However, a glimmer of hope emerged in Jayden's thoughts.

He remembered that his master, the one who had taught him the art of fighting in the Himalayas, had left him an account with some money.

It was a farewell gift from him and he had never checked the account until now, as he was always prioritizing his dedication to his craft and the establishment of his barbershop.

But with renewed determination, Jayden made a decision.

He would visit the bank and inquire about the account left to him by his master. It was time to see if there were enough funds to fulfil his new goal of expansion and personal transportation.

But if not then he would just save up, or do what he did before...dropshipping.

.....

The following day, Jayden found himself standing in the bank, a mixture of anticipation and nerves coursing through him.

As he approached the teller, he explained his situation, requesting information about the account left by his master.

After a few moments of searching through their records, the teller returned with a smile. "Mr Jayden, we have located the account. It appears that there are sufficient funds within it, waiting for you to claim."

"Let me just check a few things and...oh! Um...hold on one second Mr Jayden."

The teller disappeared into the back for a brief moment, returning with a stunned expression on her face.

She hesitated for a moment, clearly taken aback by what she had discovered.

Finally, she spoke, her voice filled with awe.

She asked Jayden to follow her to a private office before she told him anything, Jayden was confused at first but followed anyway.

"Mr Jayden, I must inform you that the account left by your master holds a staggering amount of 43 million dollars."

Jayden's eyes widened in disbelief.

He could hardly comprehend the enormity of the sum mentioned. The news sent a jolt of shock and excitement through his veins, leaving him momentarily speechless.

The teller continued, her voice filled with respect and admiration. "You are now in possession of a considerable fortune congratulations Mr. Jayden. The possibilities are endless."

Jayden's mind raced with a whirlwind of thoughts. The sheer magnitude of the inheritance overwhelmed him, opening up a world of opportunities he had never imagined.

He thought about the barbershop expansion, the building next door, and the dream of owning a car and a motorbike—all of which now seemed within his grasp.

As he left the bank, Jayden's steps felt lighter.

Jayden needed to reach out to his master and ask how he even got a hold of that type of money. Jayden took out his phone and dialled his master's number.

"Greetings, seeker of knowledge. This is the humble sanctuary of wisdom. I am currently in deep meditation, aligning my spirit with the cosmos. Leave your message, and it shall be heard in the tranquil chambers of my mind."

However, much to his disappointment, it went straight to voicemail.

Undeterred, he left a heartfelt message expressing his gratitude and sharing the exciting developments he's made in Gotham.

The next day, Jayden was in his home, dedicated to his exercise routine. He was doing pull-ups, his muscles flexing with each repetition.

Meanwhile, Selina lounged on his bed, observing him with a playful smirk on her face.

As Jayden completed another set of pull-ups, he dropped down to the floor and caught his breath, which went back to normal quickly.

His eyes met Selina's, and he couldn't help but notice her admiring gaze.

"Enjoying the view?" Jayden teased, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.

Selina grinned, playfully rolling her eyes. "Well, can't blame a girl for appreciating a well-toned physique," she replied, her voice filled with a hint of seduction.

Jayden chuckled, his cheeks turning slightly red. "Glad to know my efforts are paying off." He had said that but he didn't really need to exercise, even if he didn't do it he would just get stronger the longer he lived.

But just like Superman doesn't need to drink, eat or sleep, he does it because he likes doing it, it reminds him of his human qualities.

Plus his master had drilled a discipline routine into him and now it was hard to stop.

"Find anything interesting?" Jayden asked, his voice calm and soothing even though he had just worked out.

Selina's eyes flickered up from the screen, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. "Oh, you have no idea. There are so many incredible choices out there, Jayden. It's like a candy store for motor enthusiasts."

Jayden walked over, wiping his brow with a towel, and leaned over Selina's shoulder to catch a glimpse of the laptop screen.

"Wow, those are some impressive options. Any particular brands or models catching your eye?"

Selina leaned back against the headboard, her fingers tapping on the laptop's touchpad.

"For the car, I'd suggest the sleek and powerful Aston Martin DBS Superleggera. It exudes sophistication and speed, a perfect fit for your style. And for the motorcycle, the BMW S 1000 RR is an absolute beast. It offers incredible performance and precision on the road."

Jayden's eyes widened in excitement. "Those sound amazing, Selina. I never would have thought of those. You really have a knack for this."

Selina's lips curled into a satisfied smile. "Well, I have spent quite a bit of time around these exquisite machines. And lucky for you, I have impeccable taste."

Jayden chuckled, his eyes meeting Selina's with a playful glimmer. "I'm starting to believe that. But remember, I'm in the market for both a car and a motorcycle. I want the best of both worlds."

Selina nodded, her fingers dancing across the keyboard as she navigated through various car and motorcycle options.

"Don't you worry, Tiger?"

"How about we go with the Porsche 911 Turbo S for the car? It's a true icon, delivering both power and elegance. And for the motorcycle, the Ducati Panigale V4 R would be a fantastic choice. It's a high-performance sportbike that will give you an adrenaline rush every time you hit the throttle."

Jayden's eyes sparkled when looking at all the metal machines. "Selina, those choices are perfect. I can already picture myself behind the wheel and on the open road."

Selina leaned back, her gaze meeting Jayden's with a hint of playfulness. "Oh, I can picture it too. You'll be turning heads wherever you go, Jayden."

Jayden's heart skipped a beat, the connection between them palpable. " That may be true, but I'm not gonna be interested in just anyone that fluttered their eyes at me."

Selina gave him a "Yeah sure" kind of look, but Jayden knew she was only joking.

As they delved deeper into the details of the car and motorcycle specifications, their banter filled the room with a mix of excitement and laughter.
