49 Chapter Forty-Eight
(Mixology Grove - Gotham)
As Jayden was casually taking a sip of a drink he had ordered, on the other side of the bar three attractive older women were gossiping away when one of the women spotted Jayden from across the bar.
"Hold up ladies, hottie spotted at 12 o'clock." One of the ladies with blonde hair and a tiger-stripped dress spoke first while checking Jayden out.
Her other two friends looked in the direction she was pointing at and when they saw Jayden from across the room their eyes shined with a predatory glare.
"Look what we have here girls, looks like fresh meat..." One of the women said, she had short midnight black hair and a sequin dress.
"Back off, I spotted him first, plus I thought you were gonna take freckles over there for a spin."
The blonde said fiercely as all three of them looked at a red-haired freckled aged man, in his early twenties. Maybe even mid-twenties trying to flirt up one of the bartenders who was coincidently Lola but was failing horribly.
"Well that's before I saw him, and can I just say what a fine specimen he is, that charming smile, that exotic white hair and those eyes, God those eyes are mesmerizing..." She said as her breath got hotter.
The other women in the group of three just rolled her eyes at her friend's antics, but she too couldn't help but check Jayden over as well.
Jayden was normally wearing baggy clothing so his muscles were normally never on display.
But now that he was wearing a tight but well-fitted suit, everyone in the bar( mostly women) and a single gay guy couldn't help but drool looking at him.
" That's it I've decided, I'm going home with Mr Exotic tonight, and I've already called Dibbs." The blond woman said, with conviction.
The red-haired friend chuckled and said." Good luck, if you haven't noticed he is the only person besides that couple over there sitting in one of the Vip booths."
"Just the more reason to conquer this little gazelle, look at him he clearly doesn't come to these sorts of events often, and he's barely spoken to anyone since he's gotten here."
"He's a total nube, or that's what my son says anyway." She said before standing up.
"Wish me luck ladies, 'cause mama's getting some tonight." She smiled while grabbing her bag to get some perfume and spray herself.
She also chewed on a few mints before walking over to Jayden's.
As she walked by a few men had seen her and tried to start a conversation but unfortunately, she was already locked on to a single target.
Jayden who was unaware was sipping on his fith drink of the night when a charming voice called out to him.
" So, what's a handsome fella like yourself doing at a bar all alone." Jayden blinked in confusion before looking in the direction of the voice.
The voice belonged to a charming older woman, with waist-length blonde hair and a tiger-stripped dress. Alarm bells immediately went off in Jayden's head as he remembered a saying from his uncle Jamie.
"You listen here now boy, if a woman with diamond earrings, a velvet coat and or animal print dress ever approaches you for a good time...make sure you are eighteen...and good luck."
'Wait is that how the saying went? Maybe im remembering it differently.' Jayden thought before his attention was once again directed at the woman.
"Umm! Well, I'm kinda new to Gotham so I don't have many friends." Now that he thought about it, that was just sad.
"And I'm just supporting a friend who's working here tonight," Jayden said, thinking the conversation would end there, but Jayden was still too naive.
Cougars don't give up the chase that easily.
Without hesitation, she sat down beside him not even asking if she could. Immediately Jayden's nose was assaulted by a heavy whiff of perfume.
Jayden's senses were more heightened than a normal person's, so being in a room filled with people didn't help, and neither did her perfume.
"Is that so, I find that so hard to believe, but I hope you've had a great time so far, but could I ask, what do you do for work." She asked while ordering two drinks from a waiter.
Jayden looked at her and thought that maybe if he just amused her with some conversation, then she would quickly lose interest and leave.

That did not end up happening...instead, she stayed, continued to sit beside him and tried to talk him up, while flirting.
She had even tried feeling him up a couple of times but he managed to dodge her advances.
Of course, Jayden knew what was going on and what the woman wanted, but he had already informed her that he was happily in a relationship...
But for some reason, his saying that had made her even more aggressive in her advances...
Jayden didn't want to make a scene, it was Lola's big opening and one incident had already occurred, he didn't want to cause another and put a bad stigma on Lola's bar.
But if this woman pushed it too far he would have no choice but to...
As Ivana was trying to get closer to Jayden her two friends on the other side of the bar chuckled at their friend's failed attempts.
Normally by now, she would have gotten her prize but Jayden was really making her work for it.
"Wow, looks like Mr Exotic isn't so easy to deal with as I thought, I know she already called dibs but this is just sad..."
The black-haired woman named Jennifer said with a chuckle, already applying some lip gloss, to make herself stand out.
Meanwhile, the red-haired friend named Mary couldn't help but sigh at both of her friends...clearly, Jayden wasn't comfortable and she could see that.
"Maybe you should stop, he's clearly not into it, you know how annoying it is when men constantly bother us and dont take no for an answer..."
"Yeah, but I'm sure if I go over there he'll change his mind real fast." Jennifer said with confidence while Mary sighed in disappointment.
"Alright, I'm gonna make my move, wish me luck, Mary!" Jennifer said as she prepared to stand up, but right before she did the front door of the bar opened up revealing two bodyguards with slightly red cheeks.
The reason for their bashful faces was the woman standing right in the middle of them.
Beautiful would be an undeserving word to describe her, she was Ophic. Whether it be her cascading jet-black hair or her emerald green eyes that sparkled under the lights of the bar.
Her figure was perfect, not to mention the men who were immediately enthralled by her looks, even the women were slightly blushing when they looked at her.
The woman in question was none other than Selina Kyle, she was wearing a beautiful custom-made outfit that really showed off not only her beauty but also her looks.
When Selina's eyes scanned the room the men watching immediately straightened their backs and thought of their best chat-up lines.
Selina completely ignored them however and looked around the room, before spotting Lola at the bar serving a customer.
Lola immediately spotted her friend and smiled. Selina did the same and the few men who were in Lola's direction thought she was smiling at them.
Selina winked before Lola chuckled, but then she directed her eyes towards a certain direction as if to communicate something to Selina.
Selina frowned before turning her head to the left...she immediately spotted what Lola was trying to communicate to her.

Meanwhile, Mary who had been watching closely noticed something was off...she looked in the direction Selina was looking at and noticed it was right where Jayden and Ivana were.
She looked back and forth before facepalming. She had one thought' Ivana's fucked...'
"Wow, she's stunning, I didn't think women like her would be showing up tonight...in any case, Mr Exotic is still waiting for me."
Jennifer said in excitement, but before she could stand up Mary grabbed her friend's arm and forcefully pulled her back down on the chair.
"Hey, what's the big deal, Mary?" Jennifer asked angrily, but Mary only sighed and said." I'm saving you from the embarrassment...trust me."
"..."
Jennifer had no idea what she was talking about.
