4 Wedding bells ring for Yuri and Suzy

Josh just opened his eyes. The smell of bacon and butter was inviting him to stand up at once for breakfast. He would have to report for work. Maybe dad had dismissed him. Should that happen, where would he find another job with a bad record following him?

He was ruminating when he heard his voice being called.

"Josh!" Isabella was yelling. "Are you up?"

He moved the curtain above his head to the side to check the time of the day. Sun was high.

Isabella was standing in front of him now.

"We've been looking for you for days."

"I'm sorry mom. It was an important task."

"Task? You have a job." The pitch of her voice was high showing that she was irked.

"Anyway, can't you recall what day it is?" she asked.

"Uhm…"

"Go now, downstairs."

Josh went down the stairs with heavy footsteps. He still couldn't shake off everything that took place in the wolf-dom. He couldn't believe that he could juggle between two timelines.

He was surprised to see a big banner saying "Happy birthday Suzy!"

"Oh, it's Suzy's birthday. I forgot."

Suzy and everybody was in front of the table. There was a big cake that mom bought--waiting for the candle to be blown. Suzy was garbed in her ordinary office attire. She was ready to go to work. And she and dad waited for Josh.

"What happened to you brother? Evan and Yuri were staring at him. "We were worried for you."

"Joshh," Michael was calling him.

Josh greeted Suzy as he kissed her on the cheek. Then, he, carried his baby brother in his arms

"Good morning dad." Aaron was seated for the celebration.

Aaron had always been the cool dad. He was chill despite his absence for a few days.

"Just don't do that again," he said.

"Happy birthday!" everybody greeted Suzy.

Suzy blew the candle.

"What is your wish?" Isabella asked her.

"It's not important."

The guys heckled her, but Suzy had always been a good sport.

"One is about my job. Holding a responsible position is a personal milestone.

Another wish is about my love life."

"Whoa… whoa…" The guys again teased her. Aaron and Isabella were only smiling.

Yuri's cheeks turned red. They weren't aware that it had been a long time since he and Suzy met. Now that she's almost twenty-five, he knew it wouldn't be long. It was time-tested. He knew, he'd have to ask the hand of the bride from the father and mother—it was a tradition called wedding proposal. It had been six going seven years. That way, asking for her hands, he was honoring and respecting the parents of the bride.

"Whoa… whoa…" There was non- stop heckling from Evan, the happy-go-lucky brother.
