004 Lightsabers

I soon looked at all the materials hidden in the walls.

There were all sorts of rare materials. Other than the Ultrachrome, there were bars of Beskar laying around. And no, not the small sized beskar bars the ones you usually see, they were the size of a gold ingot back on earth. There were even five of them. Although there were not many, there was more than enough to create several sets of armor for five whole squads.

We used up many materials including a bar of beskar to finally form nanomaterials capable of holding a Kyber crystal and make a lightsaber out of. The main materials that were used was Songsteel, Ultrachrome, Neuranium, Phrik, and Beskar. Being nanomaterials, the weight of Neuranium was no longer a problem. Neuranium and Songsteel would be mainly used as an exterior to hide the Kyber crystals and lightsabers from scanners. Phrik made up of the majority of the core as the other materials would just melt during a long battle.

I also created another lightsaber hilt using the same materials but I didn't make it out of nanomaterials. I created a smaller curved hilt using the Ghostfire Crystal. Now, besides my original yellow lightsaber as my main, I also had another lightsaber and several hidden ones.. I didn't want to expose it yet so I simply hid it away and won't use it unless I needed to surprise my enemies. Ghostfire crystals are rare and could be useful in sneaking up on someone. They produce no sounds and are used for duels.

Creating and forging the nanomaterials had costed an entire month and half a year's worth of fuel. Luckily for me, I created an arc reactor to generate the fuel or electricity needed. Using the remaining Phrik and Neuranium, I created my own battle armor made up of nanomaterials that covers my robes and a helmet hidden as my necklace. I used up the remaining Ultrachrome and had to break some off of the ship's armor to create my own corvette.

As the corvette was being built, I looked through my memories to practice some skills and techniques. Some of them even had secondary knowledge, like how to build droids, ship repairs, battlefield tactics, assassination techniques, and many more. I decided to just learn Form VII and get myself familiar with my lightsaber at the same time. Double bladed lightsabers, curved hilt lightsabers, dual wielding, I learn them all quickly as I practiced from my memories.

Soon, the corvette was done and the fuel was almost out. I used the last remaining fuel on the corvette and I had my droids melt a way out for me. They were to melt a large enough hole for the corvette to fly out of before sealing the hole up again. The droids were to be left behind and continue fixing up the place until I return.

I was 17 this year, I planned to return back to the temple in another year or so since the Clone Wars would start in 3 years. As for where I wanted to go, I will just make some cash for now. Bounty hunter? Nah. I'll just be a regular store owner on Naboo. I started up my own convenience store there. There would be an occasional customer here and there but it's relatively quiet here. I would either practice or immerse myself in my memories whenever I have no customer.

"Hello?" I heard someone call out

"Ah" I got out of my memories and looked at the person in front of me, judging by her voice and body language, it was a woman "What can I do for you?"

"Can I have bag of those?" She pointed at a bag of Jogan fruits

At this point, I realized that she was Padme after looking at her face.

"Sure, 10 credits" I nodded

"Uh" she looked around her purse "I don't have enough" She took out 8 credits

I took it and gave her the fruits.

She looked at me in surprise.

"Can't have the queen starve on me just because of 2 measly credits can't I?" I chuckled

She was embarrassed having her cover blown "Thank you, I owe you one then"

"Nah, I'm about to return home after this week. I probably won't be coming back to Naboo in a long time" I smiled

"Oh" She looked at me in confusion "Why?"

I simply just shrugged "It's about time I go back, It's been 4 years since I last went back"

"Oh" She looked at me in concern "What about your shop?"

"Didn't really need it in the first place" I chuckled "I only stayed here out of boredom"

She blinked "Boredom?"

"Sure" I nodded "Being a Jedi is boring especially if you are just out for an adventure"

"JEDI?!" She exclaimed

"Shhh" I shushed "Don't need the whole place screaming here"

She nodded before asking "Show me proof"

I gave her a look before pulling out a lightsaber hilt

She looked at me in surprise. "What are you doing all the way out here?"

"Adventure and vacation" I winked

"But I thought..." She looked at me warily

"Don't give me that look" I waved dismissively "I'm a perfectly normal Jedi, minus the ideologies they forced onto their younglings"

She continued to look at me weirdly

"What?" I asked

"Ideologies?" she asked

"Jedi Code, no feelings, no love, nothing" I grumbled "absolutely hate it"

She looked at me in surprise "no feelings?"

"I know right, unless you get kicked out or something that is" I told her

She seemed to be thinking she asked "You left the temple for four years?"

"Hmmm, sure" I nodded "Four Years after that Anakin kid joined"

"Anakin?" she asked "You know Anakin?"

"That kid?" I asked "He gave the council a headache on what to do with him. He almost got refused to join since he's too old"

I stopped before asking "You do know the two of you can't go anything above being friends right?"

She looked at me weirdly "Why would you say that?"

"You seemed like one" I told her flatly before rubbing my chin "I mean it could be possible if he won't be attracted to the order too much"

She looked at me and wanted to say something before seeing that it was getting dark out.

"I would love to talk more but I got to go" She stated

"I understand" I nodded

She left an no customers came so I closed the shop and went to sleep. The store operated normally for the next two to three days. She didn't come by until the fourth day.

"Welcome back" I greeted

"Hello...., er I didn't get your name last time" she said awkwardly

"Figures" I smirked before saying "Yandi Vox, you can just call me Yandi"

"Yandi" she whispered before saying "You can call me Padme"

"Right... So, got anything you need today?" I asked

"Nope" she shook her head before asking "Were you not curious about my absence though?"

"Not that much, considering you're a queen and all" I shrugged

"Oh..." She looked disappointed

"Want to talk about it though?" I asked "You seem disappointed"

"The senate had just introduced the Military Creation Act" She sighed

"Bad thing?" I asked

"Bad" She nodded "We might go to war"

"Not surprising" I told her "When the Confederacy was created, you might as well expect it coming"

"But..." She looked troubled

"I know that Naboo is peaceful and all that but are you sure that you wanted the Trade Federation to attack you again?" I asked

"But... it's just wrong" She said

"That's the problem of politics and the Republic" I shrugged "Not going to get better anyways"

"How could you... you're a Jedi" She looked at me

"First, I didn't swear to the republic. I'm just a regular Jedi." I looked at her "Secondly, I'm sure you saw what happened on Tatooine right?"

She looked away

"Padme, you are just too naive to see how this galaxy works" I sighed "There are no perfect governments and they would eventually fall one day"

"But..." She frowned

"Would love to talk more about this topic but it's time" I told her and pointed outside

She looked out and saw the sun setting "Is it the last day for you?" she asked

I nodded

"oh" she looked disappointed

"I can give a message to Anakin in your place though" I grinned
