193 Blondes and ravenheads - I

Leah had heard that turned against the door. It was currently five in the evening, and she was wondering how come her mother was not awake yet from her nap, and had not called her to her room. 

She heard a knock on her door before closing her eyes and covering her face with the blanket. Jones always gave the ladies of the house five seconds after his knock before he entered the room. In case they were indecent, they could always yell for him to stop. Those five seconds were counted with a few seconds in between then just so everyone was comfortable. 

He came in, and she heard him come closer to her before stopping at the edge of her bed. 

"Dear child," he called, his voice louder than usual, "get up, place. It's time to wake."
