Third Holy Mission 

Somewhere in Luxen City.

A group of 10 Priests, 1 white cloak and 9 brown cloaks, were accompanied by 8 knights, 2 nobles, 2 helpers: a butler and a maid, and 2 carriages that were loaded with supplies.

It was basically the same people as yesterday. The only difference was that they were in another slum area.

Vivian's eyes wandered around her surroundings.

She made eye contact with a homeless man in his 50s sitting on the street before quickly looking away because she didn't want to give the expression that he could ask a favor from her.

In Vivian's mind and based on her experience back in her previous world, if you give someone an inch, they will start to ask for a mile.

There was a time in her life when she tried helping people which only ended up backfiring because they became either too dependent or downright abusive -- they would ask something from her every time they met. And when she finally had enough and called the person out from it, they accused her of trampling over their dignity.

Ever since then, she has become very, very picky on who she helps.

Excluding children, if she can't get or earn any obvious benefit, she'll still smile and be courteous, of course, probably even agree, but she wouldn't lift a finger in the end.

Lily was standing in front of a group of children sitting on the floor.

"One day, Priest N'eua was traveling with his friends -- a noble knight Warrior named Sir Ga'al, a noble Wizard named Lady Kat'zea and a Hunter named Lar'el -- and they stumbled upon a little girl who was crying in the middle of the road.

"When Priest N'eua asked the little girl why was she crying, she told them that her entire village was enslaved by demons and she had to escape and look for help because the demons were doing very bad things to the people in her village.

"The heroes were impressed by the little girl's courage and her love for her fellow villagers. Because even though she was only a little girl, she went out on her own to search for help to save her village from the demons.

"And so the heroes immediately went to the little girl's village to save the people from the demons.

"When the heroes finally arrived at the village, they were shocked to see the village was in a very poor condition. All living beings: humans and animals were treated very poorly by the demons. Some of the humans were even transformed into monsters and controlled by the demons to hurt and eat other humans.

"The heroes immediately defeated all of the demons and also the monsters, and then freed all the humans and animals in the village.

"When the people in the village were all finally free, some of the villagers asked the heroes if they also defeated the leader of the demons.

"The heroes were confused by the question of the villagers because as far as they know, they already defeated all of the demons in the village.

"But the villagers told the heroes that they weren't from here and were lured by a little girl. And as for the original villagers, some were sacrificed by the little girl to the demon, while others were either eaten or cursed and turned into demons.

"It was then the little girl that the heroes met earlier arrived in the village and she transformed into a powerful demon.

"All of the villagers ran and hid.

"But for the heroes, they didn't run away and hide. They bravely fought the powerful demon.

"And after a long battle, they finally defeated the powerful demon and the villagers were finally safe.

"So children, can any of you tell me the important lessons of this story?"

A boy raised his hand.

Vivian tried to recall the name of the boy.

"James?"

James immediately got up.

"Demons eat people and can also disguise themselves as people!"

"Very good, James! Everyone, let's give James a round of applause~!"

Vivian turned to Lily.

"Yes, Priestess Lily!"

Lily turned Airie who was carrying a small basket that had an Affinity Crystal imbued with Light.

"Priestess Airie, will you join us?"

When Airie stepped forward to join Lily, Vivian moved to the side.

"Hello, children~!" Airie greeted and flashed a very kind and warm smile.

"So can anyone here tell Priestess Airie what is the crystal that she's carrying on the basket?" asked Lily.

A dark-skinned boy raised his hand.

"Yes, Sigfried?"

"It's an Affinity Crystal!"

"Very good, Sigfried!" Lily said and clapped her hands before turning to Airie. "Priestess Airie, it looks like there are a lot of smart children here and they know what you're carrying!"

"You're right, Priestess Lily~!" Airie said and then turned to the children. "Can anyone tell me what's the Affinity imbued in this crystal?"

What happened next was basically the same as yesterday.

They would have the children form a line and each touch the crystal. After that, it will be followed with a snack break, parlor games, and another snack break before the teaching and feeding Holy Mission will finally be over for the day.
