22 Chapter 22 : The Azure Legend

'' I can't hold on. This dark power is trying to wrestle control over my body. ''

Hakai thought to himself as he was busy struggling to hold down Friegen with his dark rope, it was hard to sustain it long-term and he knew inevitably he had to let go.

He looked around and saw that he was the only thing stopping Friegen from continuing his rampage but he had no proper solution to stop him. What could he possibly do to stop him without becoming the next problem for the group to deal with?

'' You can let him go Hakai, I'll handle this. ''

Hakai looked back after hearing the familiar voice, the voice belonged to none other than Seiya Hiroshi who didn't appear to be at death's door.

His chest that previously contained a hole from one end of his torso and out the other had now been sealed by various frozen ice fibers that replicated the nature of the organic mass that was missing.

Hakai had looked at him before nodding, he receded the power coming from his body so that Friegen was set free but the look in Seiya's eyes gave Hakai the confidence needed to let go.

Sakura was silent as she could only stare at the fact that Seiya merely got up out of the cradle of vines that she had produced and walked off as if he was never hurt in the first place.

She could tell there was something different about him but she couldn't tell what it was but there was a strange glow around his body that was only noticeable at a certain angle as if he was reflecting light.

Friegen's body started running towards Seiya but the young prince clutched his heart as he screamed at the top of his lungs.

'' Nothing will stop me from protecting this land! Azure Legend, grant me your true power!!! ''

Seiya's aura ignited around his body until it became an abundant mass of spiritual energy before it divided itself and started attaching itself unto different parts of Seiya's body.

One of the fragments of the spiritual energy became a frosty snow-white cloak that covered his body.

A pair of fragments attached themselves to Seiya's arms, his right arm containing a slightly larger than his wrist-sized bracelet while the other arm had pressurized cold particles surrounding his fist.

Another pair of fragments turned into azure greaves that attached itself to his legs that immediately caused him to hover over the ground itself.

The final fragment forced itself into Seiya's forehead, causing his bangs to part as a azure diamond appeared glowing and vibrant.

Hakai and Sakura could only watched as Seiya's body propelled itself after having become accustomed to a technique that had only ever been referred to in history itself.

Friegen's body was sent flying into the sky by the speed and force behind Seiya's movement as the young prince followed him into the sky itself.

The white haired prince brought up his right arm , shooting out clones of his bracelet that functioned as forceful projectiles to send Friegen flying further into the sky but not before grabbing the air with his left arm.

This action produced a reaction in the air around his hand as it created a quasi-blade made out of ice particles produced by his own technique and had sliced through Friegen with the weapon.

Within a single moment, Friegen's body frozen over and shattered.

'' You won't be forgotten Friegen. ''

Seiya spoke to himself as he flew past Friegen, the shattered pieces of the male descending unto the ground as the young prince had continued looking to the sky.

'' The importance of this skill, absorb their fragments and preserve it in ice that'll never melt. ''

The voice within the technique told Seiya as Friegen's frozen chunks hit the ground and so the male held out his left arm as it absorbed Friegen's ability into itself.

Seiya descended to join his friends, running over to Hieki to hopefully wake him up and luckily enough the elder would indeed wake up.

'' What th- , what did I miss? ''

Sakura spent the following minutes explaining what occurred and Hakai prepared to escort the civilians back home while Seiya had made a grave for Friegen overlooking a hill.

'' This is far from over but I know I'll have to continue getting stronger if I plan on protecting this country and rescuing my Sister. Please wait for me, I'm coming for you. ''

Meanwhile, in a certain Dark Hand Outpost four hours later.

All 10 Commanders were notified of Friegen's inability to kill the Prince and they were busy talking to one another about what to do next.

However there was an eleventh person there, a chained up Kami Hiroshi who had been laughing.

'' Why are you laughing? We're going to kill your brother, aren't you the least bit scared? ''

One of the Female Dark Hand Commanders said to the imprisoned queen who continued laughing before finally pausing to speak.

'' The reason why I'm not the least bit scared is because you've put my brother on the warpath. He has the same blood flowing through my veins, I know that he's coming and you guys will be casualties. You'll wish you didn't mess with us. ''

An Informant came running into the conference room with news to give to the Commanders.

'' There's bad news! ''

The informant screamed out to the Commanders who had waited for the informant to spill the beans.

'' Someone destroyed the Outpost near Oshino Hakkai! ''

The Informants words were immediately put into question by one of the male commanders.

'' Any details on who did this? ''

The informant had used his magatama earring to project a holographic image of what happened before the outpost was destroyed.

Many soldiers were running around trying to escape explosive shards of ice that flooded various hallways while the soldiers were calling for help. Kami had spoken again with words that had triggered the Commanders.

'' He's coming for you guys. ''
