The Awakening of a Billionaire

“It's over. It’s time for you to call me your ex-girlfriend.” “Brice Turner, I’m sorry…. I think this is our only destiny, you are not able to fulfil what I want…. And I know you won’t be able to give me what I want. These are the things which you gave me. Today, I am returning it to you. I already have another man in my life now… Please don’t run behind me anymore.” She turned and left. Lara Jane's words were like a thunderbolt which kept on roaring in Brice’s ears. The image of Lara with a look of disdain on her face for him kept on hovering over his mind…. “Ah…. Damn it.” Brice Turner threw the return gifts he was holding into the lake from the bridge. Looking at the ripples made in the lake, he jumped directly into it. “Plop…”

Chapter 8 - Don’t Be Impulsive

The face of Lucas Wilde quickly turned red.

Alisha Campbell in a hurry changed the topic to make Lucas Wilde less embarrassed.

This time suddenly the door was knocked and Alisha Campbell ordered to come in. They saw the waiter enter the room with dishes in a cart. He served the dishes and went back. Some of the people sitting there started eating while some opened their drinks.

Almost everyone started chatting with each other and even Lara Jane started talking with Harry Gray. While on the other side, the four security guards were left aside with no one bothering to look at them

Lucas Wilde looked at his three friends. He suddenly regretted his decision of agreeing to Alisha Campbell for the meal. But, there's nothing he can do, they have already arrived and it's not good to leave like that.

Brice Turner stood up.

His sudden action of getting up from his seat attracted the attention of people sitting over there.

"Alisha… sorry but, we four are going to eat something else. So, we will not be able to eat here.", Brice Turner said.

As soon as he said this, Lucas Wilde and the others were instantly relieved. In this case, they would go to another place where they would feel comfortable. Also, they wouldn't have to look at the faces of these people.

"Ah? Are you guys really leaving?" Alisha Campbell looked at Brice Turner.

"Yeah, we are leaving." Brice Turner nodded.

Brice turned and left. Lucas Wilde and others also rose up from their seat and followed Brice and went out of the room.

After the four left the room….

"Leave them… even if they have self-knowledge, the four security guards only came to have a free meal! Lara, how you have been fascinated by that security guard? Isn't it simply means that you are lowering your identity?", Elsa Klein groaned at the four people who left just now.

"Yes… look at the guy Brice, if you want money, he doesn't have it, he doesn't even have a room, no car and not even a good job, just a stinky security guard. How does he deserve to be in our group? It's like a toad who wants to eat a swan's meat….. I tell you, Alisha, don't have contact with them anymore.", Ivy Smith said supporting Elsa Klein.

Alisha Campbell was a little embarrassed hearing them. She didn't know how to reply to them. Finally, she chose to keep quiet.

Outside the private room…

"Guys, I am telling…. since, we already lost our face, what is loss in eating a meal?", Ethan Morrison spoke.

"Fuck! Are you out of your mind? Can't you see how people were looking at us? Except for Alisha… who was looking at us in a friendly manner? Leave looking at us like friends, except Alisha no one even bothered to look at us. They were considering us as dogs and now you are really proving their words.", Lucas angrily said to Ethan.

Ethan sighed and stopped talking.

He can also see the reality very well but he also knows from the beginning that with such kind of people where security guards like them will get a face. He only went there to have some good food and that too a full meal and leave afterwards.

"Hello, what are you doing Brice? What are you doing in the lobby?", Gabriel Parks looked strangely at Brice.

Brice actually walked straight into the hall aside and the remaining three of them hurriedly followed him.

"Hello sir, How can we serve you?", A hotel staff asked politely.

"Open a private room for us.", Brice Turner said.

Lucas Wilde and the other two looked at Brice with surprise. Hasn't this month's salary of Brice been spent on Lara Jane this month? Then how can he have money to open a private room?

"Brother Brice let's go outside and take fresh air first. We can go and eat somewhere else too! Don't act stupid for momentary satisfaction.", Ethan Morrison said while stopping Brice.

Brice looked at him.

"It's fine… I am treating you all.", Brice said.

Ethan Morrison froze on the spot. A few minutes earlier, he was ridiculed by Lara Jane yet he is so calm. Has he won some lottery or what?

They finally opened a private room and this room was opened next to the private room opened by Alisha Campbell.

Brice Turner, Lucas Wilde and the other two were sitting in the private room. Lucas Wilde and the other two were looking at each other and then at Brice Turner.

He really opened a private room for us. Has he gone mad or what?

"Just order, what you want? What are you doing looking at me like a silly person?", Brice Turner urged them.

Gabriel Parks looked at Brice Turner.

"Brother Brice, are you sure you want us to order? There are a hundred different dishes but they are so costly that only a few people like us can afford them.", Gabriel Parks reminded Brice Turner.

"Will you guys order? If you don't know the dishes then I tell you… check the menu, work hard and find whatever you fancy and just order it.", Brice Turner said.

The three of them looked at each other strangely and hesitated but when they looked into the eyes of Brice, they picked up the menu and ordered after looking at it.

"One plate salad…"

"Half plate peanut rice…"

"Fried potatoes with chutney.…"

The three picked up the cheapest dish they saw on the menu and ordered the less they can. Then also, the amount went over more than $200…..

"Gentlemen… Won't you order anything cooked rather than mouth freshener and starters?" The waitress asked strangely after hearing the order.

"No need, we are just here to relax. That's enough for us", Ethan Morrison said.

It's easy to pretend yourself poor but it's too hard to show off when you know you have nothing to show off.

"Have you ever eaten salad in your whole life? Ordering salad here…. Order some full meal or platter… oh! forget it, let me order it!", Brice called the waitress towards him.

Lucas Wilde and the other two looked at him like a bunch of fools.

Full meal?

Platter?

You have to drink water and survive for the whole month and then also you would be using the later month's salary for paying the bill.

"Give me a full fried Crabs Platter!", Brice said.

Isn't he just pretending? It seems like he won't order this….

The waitress was surprised. She stared at Brice Turner. What did she hear just now?

"Give me a non-veg rail cart….", Brice Turner Continued.

The waitress looked at Brice like his head was hit by some big stone while he came here. Now, she was really suspicious of him. Is his brain really abnormal?

"Well, would you like to order staple food? Just bring me two plates of mutton with Naan." While looking at the menu Brice casually asked others and ordered this too.

While Brice was looking at the menu to order something else… His friends and waitress saw that the dish he ordered are not cheap and there are more than forty dishes to start with in the platter alone that he ordered. The dishes were the most expensive one every dish in the platter at least costs $100 and can get up to $500. forget about the total cost and other things he ordered….

"I am saying Brice… do you want us to let live our rest of the life being paralyzed or what?", Lucas Wilde rolled his eyes at Brice while gritting his teeth.

"Yes, sir! Please, don't scare others.", The waitress also nodded.

"Why? Don't you guys want to taste these expensive dishes just now? Forget it… Give me all the dishes mentioned in the first ten pages of the menu. That's it. You can go now." Brice told the waitress while returning the menu to her.

The waitress was dumbfounded and stayed there only.

"What happened? Didn't you hear what I said just now? Give me all the dishes mentioned in the first top ten pages of the menu. Did you get that?", Brice glanced at her.

"Our guest… weren't you kidding with me just now? If you really can't afford it, then we can give you some side dishes for free! But you should know even the rice served here is expensive. Can you afford to pay the total amount of those dishes which you ordered?", the waitress looked at Brice.

"What do you mean by that? Do you think we can't afford it? Is this how you treat your customers? This attitude has been taught to keep while giving service to customers.", Lucas Wilde scolded the waitress.

It's enough to lose face in front of the company colleagues but now even the waitress is doing the same.

"What's wrong with my attitude? Do you really think what he ordered can be paid like it's nothing for anyone visiting here?", The waitress said lightly.

Lucas Wilde was silent but angry.

"Okay fine, I will serve you all the dishes mentioned in the first ten pages of the menu. But, you need to pay the bill first.", the waitress said with a calm expression on her face. She wanted them to not face problems but where in this world good deeds are welcomed.

Lucas Wilde was completely angry as he already imagined the table with so many dishes. But hearing this he became silent as he was not in a position to utter a single word here.

"On what account should I pay you first? Aren't you a despising person? Are you afraid that we would run in the middle after eating the king's meal? If you think like that, it's not good. Even if you are suspicious of anything you can simply put more guards outside our room to ensure that nobody can get out without paying the bill. But you instead of using your mind started giving advice to customers." Since Lucas Wilde sat quietly. Brice Turner spoke to the waitress.

The waitress looked at Brice Turner.

"Do you really want to order all of these?", she asked again to confirm.

"You heard that right. Now, you better hurry up. We people are already hungry and don't have patience.", Brice Turner nodded.

"Fine then,,", The waitress nodded then turned and left.

"Brother Brice, it's okay if you pretend a little but now you have already crossed the limit. Even the waitress was scared by seeing your order.", Lucas suddenly changed his tone and told Brice when he finally confirmed that the waitress left the room.

Brice was expressionless at the moment.

"It's okay. There's no big deal in it. The most they can do is beat us. Do you think they would kill us?", Brice Turner said with a smile.

Lucas Wilde felt weird after hearing that. He now confirmed that when Lara Jane ridiculed and yelled at Brice just now, it left a great impression on him and now he is actually acting weird.

Lucas Wilde looked at Ethan Morrison and Gabriel Parks while the other two also looked at him. All three glanced at each other once and they silently nodded to each other.

That's okay!

For a happy meal, pay with a harsh meal!

The waitress came back and along with her, there were four fat and strong chefs standing behind her!

Brice looked at the chefs standing there and then looked at Lucas Wilde. He called the waitress near him.

"Could you please speak one thing truthfully? Are you really afraid that we don't have the money?", Brice Turner asked looking at the waitress.

"Yes…" , she said in a very calm tone.

"So, do you think that these four fat wine bags you brought can beat us?", Brice asked again to her.

The waitress froze on the spot and thought about turning and going out again. When she came back again, Brice was sitting calmly and the two chefs of the hotel were behind him.

Lucas's face turned white with fear. Since they are security guards, it's obvious they exercise regularly. This can make them bear one but what about two heavy-fat chefs? Can they survive it? Will they be beaten too hard?

Start to serve!

The dishes mentioned in the first ten pages of the hotel menu book consist of dishes which were quite expensive and delicious. They were mentioned at the start to catch customer's attention and mainly customers surf eight to ten pages of a menu book and order unless they order the food without looking at the menu book.

Lucas Wilde, Ethan Morrison and Gabriel Parks saw the table filled with luxury and delicious items. They couldn't believe that it wasn't a dream. But what's the use of such a reality if you already know the consequences?

"Eat it! I tell you… in future, it will be a common meal for us. So, eat it and get used to it.", Brice Turner said and took a piece of prawn and gnawed it.

Lucas and the other two looked at each other. Fuck off! Since the dishes are ordered and even placed on the table, now it doesn't matter whether you eat or not the consequences will be the same. Why regret and bear the consequences without enjoying them?
