The sun gently peeks through the clouds, casting warmth upon the trees, houses, people, and earth. As the classes draw to a close, the resonating sound of the bell reverberates across Sakura High School. 

The students gracefully exit the building, engaging in lively conversations with their companions as they make their way home. A portion of the students head to their respective clubs, where camaraderie and lighthearted banter adorn their youthful days.

In stark contrast to the bustling atmosphere within the room, the figure of Kai appears placid and composed as he peacefully slumbers at his desk. A serene aura seemingly envelops him, undisturbed by the departure of his classmates, who have vacated the premises. Oblivious to the commotion around him, Kai comfortably rests, seemingly impervious to the demands of time.

One may question the reason behind his extended stay, and the answer lies in the avoidance of troublesome individuals who tend to derive pleasure from bullying. Rather than subjecting himself to the torment and relentless teasing, Kai wisely opts to remain within the familiar confines of the classroom, awaiting the exit of his peers. Kai, a typical student, leads a solitary life devoid of friendships in this city. Kai had a childhood sweetheart whom he dated for two years. Unexpectedly, she ended their relationship and revealed that she was engaged to his best friend, Paul.

At first, Kai found it hard to believe this news. After all, he and his best friend were like brothers, and he had spent a significant amount of time with his childhood sweetheart.

Seeking clarification, he approached Paul and asked if the information was true. But to his surprise, Paul's demeanor changed completely. The memories of their friendship and his girlfriend kept popping up in his mind, driving Kai crazy. It was like those memories just fell apart, and it broke something within him. After that, he had no desire to interact with anyone. He steered clear of people who tried to befriend him or even those who just wanted a simple chat.

All he wanted was to curl up at home and shut himself off from the world. But his parents' expectation that he keep his promise compelled him to keep going.

After waiting for like forever, Kai finally woke up and lifted his head. He glanced out the window only to spot the sun about to call it a day. He got up, slung his bag over his shoulder, and bounced out of the room.

Kai strolled absentmindedly down the corridor, taking in the deserted classrooms and soaking up the peaceful vibes. But out of nowhere, he pursed his ears as he caught a voice drifting from one of the classrooms. 

"P-please, don't. Someone might see us here."

A girl's voice rang in Kai's ears. Though it was soft, he was still able to hear it because of the silence in the corridor. He was supposed to ignore it like he usually does, but a transparent screen suddenly appeared in front of him.

When Kai saw this, his eyes, which looked like a dead fish, suddenly lit up. He stopped his steps and read the words in front of him many times. As he kept on reading them, his heart, which had died down because of the betrayal of his best friend and his childhood sweetheart, suddenly started beating faster and faster and louder and louder.

Kai is either sleeping or just staring into nothing. He knows that this is not a dream or whatever. So it did not take him too long to believe that this is real. The only thing that he can see in front of him is an opportunity for him to take revenge and change the destiny of his life.

When he read the word in front of him again and again, his bad memories also slowly resurfaced. The betrayal that tortured him ignited his desire to click the 'Yes' button and without hesitation, he clicked 'Yes'.

'I need to calm down, or I might fail this quest,' he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. After calming himself, he opened the door slowly and peeked inside.

Inside the classroom, there are two individuals present: the young woman whom Kai overheard and her boyfriend. To think that they have the nerve and the courage to do it inside the classroom. What a bold couple!
