1 Chapter 1

In the deepest parts of the universe there existed a planet, unknown to the rest of the universe. It was a enormous celestial body, measuring at least ten times our sun, with the planet itself emitting a eerie red.

It was made up of four distinct regions, namely a sea, a forest, a crater, and a mountain range, but one similarity they all shared, save for the crater, was the same eerie red of the planet. The sea took up a the north quarter of the planet, and inside it dwelled a great many aquatic nightmares the deeper one went. But with great risks came great rewards.

The forest took the southern part, here vegetation ran wild with trees from 200 yards at the very least, to even trees far surpassing 1,000 yards! Alongside these giants existed two prominent species only under them. One contested the earth with the trees, the other took the skies.

And at the center of all this there existed the overlord, a massive tree with a brilliant red crown, hell it would even even look beautiful if it was for the thousands of bodies pinned across its trunk by thorns. To the trees it was their exalted king, but to the other races it was nothing less than an executioner that could kill them in an instant. Yet, thankfully for the other races it kept to its territory and they saw no reason to barge in, especially with the trunk as a reminder.

The west housed the crater, the only thing not emitting that signature eerie red of the planet and nothing too note worthy. It had two areas, one inner and one outer, both singed black by an unknown source. The outer area stretched a good 500,000 miles on the surface , while the inner area had a radius of about 1,000 miles, it's depth was hard to gauge. The source of 'The Crater' is still unknown to most inhabitants, as it was said to have been there when the 'Tree Overlord' was but a sapling. Some think it was a massive 'Skyfall', some even entertained the idea of it being an attack from the unknown, yet who can say for sure...

As for the mountain range, it almost looked like a massive spine stretching from the uppermost part of the eastern side, towards the edges of 'The Crater'. The mountain range housed a myriad of mineral beasts, born from a mutation of the eerie red land that made up the mountain range. Beyond this they boasted incredible strength, with strongest being even able to carry boulders 1,000 times their weight.

Here on this mysterious planet that shined with its unique red hue, at the depths of the 'The Crater', there amassed a mass of black energy. The animals that had come to inhabit these depths became startled of the addition to the depths.

A small three-eyed lizard, maybe about a foot in length, broke the silence that had come with the mysterious mass. Slowly it crawled, slowly, with its night vision eyes and pale skin that came with many generations of no sunlight. Yet it felt an indescribable attraction to the black mass.

It inched closer and closer, it didn't take it long as it was relatively close to begin with. It stretched out its forelimb and slowly submerged it with the black mass. It, as if sentient, promptly reacted to the external stimuli and ran down the lizards forelimb. It quickly ran over the entirety of the lizard, even its insides weren't spared, like a scan.

It then scanned over the rest of the beasts in the blink of an eye then returned to the lizards side.

The black mass as if happy It had found what it was looking for quickly changed, and with it the mood. If before the animals held curiosity what they now felt was fear, instinctual fear. The lizard tried to run away but it was too late, not just for it but for the all the beasts in this abyss with no way out. It was a massacre.

The black mass activated a suction force that instantly sucked blood, skin and inards of all the beasts in a 20 yards radius. Yet it was still hungry for more, luckily for it, the inner area had an abundance of prey. For the next week, the black mass hunted down tens of thousands of beasts, but after it ate the last beats at the depths of the inner area the suction force stopped. It began to congealed into a solid state, it then slowly bubbled into the form of a... baby?
