Let's Go!

So after everything Alex went downstairs. When he saw his mother in the kitchen he was so emotional that tears almost came through.

"Morning mom, how are you doing?" Alex said.

"Hoe gaat het mijn liefste" (How are you doing my love).

"Mom, I told you, I'm not too fluent in Dutch". "We just relocated last year "

"I know my son, I couldn't help but tease you this morning ".

Hannah just loves these kind of mornings. Ever since her husband died, she and her son moved from the UK where her husband was working.

"So mom, they would be football trials tomorrow and I would like to go" Alex was hoping she would agree.

"Wait. Do you even know how to play football?" Hannah was gobsmacked, she didn't see this coming.

"Yeah mom, I've decided I would like to play football till I become a pro"

Hannah didn't know what to say. She just stood over the kitchen counter.

She finally took a deep breath and said "Alright son, I would support you"

Alex was over the moon. "Thanks mom"

He ran over and hugged her tightly. Hannah just put her hands over his back and patted him.

"Don't worry my love, mommy's gonna support you all through". Alex became so happy. "Mom but I have to buy boots and a kit".

Alex then went to the closest sports accessories shop. He bought everything he needed.

Next Day..

Johan Cruyff Arena..

The trials would be held at the stadium for boys to get into their academy.

Hannah was busy so she just dropped Alex off at the stadium.

Alex looked at the stadium and remembered in his past life where he always went to matches. The crowd was always exhilarating.

"Alright boys moveee. Don't be snails, first of all you can call me Johan Berg or just Johan". The Johan was a big guy, big, large, gives that body builder vibes. "I presume everyone here has registered for the trials if not you can go out " (Alex registered yesterday)

Everyone looked at each other. Seeing one making a move Coach Johan said "Some of you won't be here by tomorrow"

Suddenly there was noise among the kids. Alex just shook his head and mumbled "Tch, kids".

"Alright that's enough, we'll begin with a race. It's going to be divided into two groups since they are many of you". "We'll have to see who's the fastest among you guys, not only that but also who has the most endurance"
