Tough Decision

"That's 45 minutes already. Can I just say it's hard to make a goal with you guys. All of you guys are all really skilled." The Coach said with enthusiasm, then she pointed at the boys. "Keep it a secret but I'm pretty sure you guys are way better than some of the boys on the varsity team. You guys should also try out! Oh Zafyra your definitely getting on our team!"

Zafyra was pretty amused because it was a good thing that she got on the team now she could finally get the boys into a better school. She suddenly stiffened thinking about something,"So how does it exactly work with you guys? Do I have to pay to join or like what's the deal?"

"So what happens is that since you got scouted by me" the Coach flipped her hair "then all the expenses are going to be covered for you. Especially since your going to be playing on our soccer team. Our school takes sports and academics really serious. The problem is that we have the academics but we don't really have the sports part down all the way." Said the coach.

They all nodded in comprehension, they recalled when H.S.O.G lost to their current high school, it was insane. Then again, their high school was known for having really good soccer, basketball and track players. Especially since most of the soccer players played those other sports during the different seasons.

"Oh well that kind of makes sense. You see we come from North Town[1] and we've played against you guys before and to put it into simpler words your guys lost every match against us." Zafyra said with honesty. As Zafyra said that the Coach's eyes widened in shock. The coach knew what that high school was known for. They're. Sport. Wins. This statement didn't surprise the coach since they were all really good players, in fact they were probably the best players she has seen in high school. Which made sense since the start and she already had some suspicion from the start. Anyways, if they all were to pursue in playing professional soccer they probably will make it with a good coach and they'd be probably the best players in their age group.

The coach crossed her arms on her chest and sighed, while thinking about North Town. "Woah..Well at least that confirmed my suspicion. Well you know like I said earlier we are always on the look for good players. I'll talk to Laswell, the boys coach, and I'm pretty sure you guys will get scouted especially how you guys work together you will guys will make it."

She suddenly turned to Zafyra, put her arm around her "As for you missy, you are definitely our key to success. So we will definitely will see you playing with us this fall! I'm sure that we can have all the adjustments and requirements done in 2 weeks." She smiled brightly and turned back around towards the boys. "Well I guess that's all from me. I want to get your guys contact information if possible your parents. I want to make these adjustments quick so that we will be able to make the switch in both school ASAP."

They all took out their phones from their backpacks on the floor and started exchanging numbers. "Don't worry boys, I'm about 100% sure that you guys will definitely get chosen too. Seriously, there are like only 6 really good players on the boys team. I'm sure your friend over here is better than most of the boys on the team. We'll stay in touch for a couple weeks and send information tomorrow. Okay well that's all! See you guys soon."

They coach picked up her cones, and other things then left. The boys and Zafyra decided to just lay on the ground with their phones on, while talking. They just looked at each other and didn't know who was going to be the first person to say something.

Ian couldn't contain the silence and finally said something. "What was that all about? Have you talked to that woman before? 'cause it sure looked like she was fascinated by you the whole time."

Zafyra scratched the back of her ear and pondered for a second until finally she spoke up. "Well" she said in a high pitched voice and continued on "it's a little complicated. Honestly, I don't know why she wanted to scout me in an instant I mean like normally you would have to see more of the player before making the decision."

"It seemed like you sure did impress her. Let me guess they saw you do the 9 cone drill and they were amazed," Jezza said while looking down on his phone playing a game.

Zafyra looked up and she widened her eyes. "How did you know?"

"Isn't it a little obvious? I mean literally you mastered that drill. I can only imagined how many times you have done all those drills in order to master it at great speed." They all nodded in agreement with Adrian's claim.

"But the real question is how do you feel about going to that school. You already know that we will go with you if you want to and not go if you don't." said Nate while everyone finally looked up and put on their full on attention on Zafyra.

1] North Town is a nickname for a high school. They call it that because it's in a town, north from the city.
