The Assassin With A Dog Tag

They say that things get easier over time but does it really? Daemyn Hades has had the worst life in his so called pack. His father, the "alpha" was supposed to give Daemyn the alpha title once Daemyn had turned eighteen but instead, he lowered Daemyn's rank to "Omega". The pack treat him like trash and he is forbidden to shift. The alpha doesn't want to let go of the title so he doesn't feed his son, he doesn't let him hunt, exercise or even shower. No, Daemyn has to find a way to do all of that AND the pack chores as well. All he wants to do is meet his mate and escape, but what happens when his father meets her first? What happens when his mate turns out to be something he didn't want, but knew he needed? "If you don't fight for what you want, then don't cry for what you could've had" That's her motto. Pluto Orion's I mean. Pluto used to have a life that one could only dream for, and now that's all that's left of it. Dreams. She is an alphas daughter, a packs Luna and an Assassin by heart, body and soul. She scraped up the pieces of her falling pack and built them. She created and molded the perfect pack, the perfect assassins and they would stop at nothing to do what their alpha wants. When she is hurt, they're pulsating in pain. When they are mad, she's infuriated. The pack lives and breathes like one big family, so why does she feel as if she's missing something even though that void was filled a long time ago?

Saving Daemyn Hades...

*Plutos P.O.V*

The whole walk to the pack border was amazing. It had begun to get dark and all you can see around you are colours twirling and blending with the moonrise, all you can smell is the fresh earthy scent forming amongst the transfer of carbon dioxide and oxygen. Home... The woods will always be my home even if I am in an unfamiliar pack.

By the time we had reached the border, I knew something was up.

"Where the hell are the patrols?" Jace mutters from behind me, and for once I don't give him a condescending look.

'Right, I want to see what's going on here... Lily, take the west side of the border. Peter, the east and Jenna, take the north. Jace and Collen, you'll be with me. Lilly, Peter and Jenna, do not leave your posts until I say so.'

'Yes Alpha'

As soon as the three split off, I start heading towards the pack house with the two-pack warriors flagging either side of me but still a step behind me bringing me the respect for my rank. The area was silent but I could hear growls and howls in the distance, instantly making my wolf perk up in my mind.

'Somethings wrong Pluto'

'I know Lilah... I can hear them from here.'

'No. I don't mean that. I feel... Somethings going to happen... Something bad.'

'Lilah. We will only stick around until we save the Luna okay? Everything's going to be okay. You're probably just nervous about leaving Elk behind...'

'Yeah... That must be it.'

Lilah shies from the front of my mind and hides in the dark corners of my conscience.

Rolling my eyes, I reach the edge of the bush-land and watch as the alpha tries to take on a rogue. He's failing... I should cut in. Running into the field, I shift mid-jump and land in front of the alpha effectively taking the blow that the rogue threw. The rogue looked surprised at the sudden change in opponent and his stance falters a bit, giving me the chance to jump at him and crush his windpipe. The pack looks at me in horror as I throw the rogues limp body against the ground. Whispers immediately erupt from the crowd as they finally realize who I am.

"A-alpha Orion! I was told you wouldn't be arriving for another day!" I turn to look at the pathetic excuse of a alpha and sneer.

'You're lucky I decided to come early then, aren't you?! Now get your patrols to cover the border before the warriors I arrived with are used for something other than rescuing.' The alpha flinches at my wolf's mind link.

The alpha suddenly starts barking orders at the surrounding pack members.

'Lily, Peter, Jenna. You can start walking towards the pack house now.'

'Yes Alpha'

I look back to the alpha and watch as his eyes glaze over, he was mind linking someone.

I start retreating back to the tree line when I smelt it. It was the most amazing smell I have ever smelt and I knew what- or rather who it was coming from. My Mate. I immediately shift back out of my wolf and briskly walk up to the alpha.

"I need a tour of this place." He nods his head enthusiastically.

"Of course Alpha Orion, I was planning to get someone to give you a tour tomorrow morning."

"NO! I WANT A TOUR NOW!" He shoots me a weird look at the sound of my wolf. I don't blame him, a normal pack member would have tried to keep their wolf contained however I am not a normal wolf. My wolf and I are equals, complete equals so we can't fight over power.

"...Of course alpha Orion..." His eyes instantly glaze over and a few seconds later a perky teenage girl shows up at my side.

"Alpha Orion this is my niece, Melody. Melody, this is Alpha Orion, you will show her as much respect as you show me. You will be giving her a tour around our pack. Please get her acquainted with the areas as much as possible." The girl immediately bows her head to me and starts walking off towards what looks like a field.

As soon as the alpha walked off I stopped, "Wait! I need to do something first." The girl turns and gives me a funny look.

"But.. what about the tour?" I huff and let out an annoyed groan. I am tired, hungry and want my mate. Not a good combo.

"We will still take the tour, its just that I will sorta lead it and you will point out what is what." And with that, I started taking off in the direction of this amazing smell.

////////////////////////////Five Minutes Later///////////////////

Ugh! Its been five minutes of this girl's useless babbling and I'm still following the scent. In front of me is something that looks like a bomb shelter. What would my mate be doing down here? Just as I was about to open the old rusty gate the high-pitched voice started terrorizing my ears again.

"We can't go in there!" I spin and put the girl in a choke hold.

"Look pup! I've had it up to here with you and your talking! I will go where I want when I want! I am here to rescue your Luna so I deserve some respect! Now go home and sleep off whatever hypo-drug you have encountered this afternoon!" I release the trembling girl from my grasp and turn back to the gate that seems to be separating me from my mate.

I forcefully open the gate, almost ripping it from its hinges and trudge down into the darkness. By the time I had reached the end of the cement stairs, I was seething in anger. The place smelt like blood, rogues and death. Something that my mate should not be around.

Just as I was about to turn into the rotting cage they call a dungeon, a guard stops me. "The alpha is not letting anyone visit people tonight." I immediately start shaking in anger.

"If you do not let me pass I will string your limbs up on my wall as a housewarming decoration. Now move!" He looks at me in disbelief.

"Sweetheart, was that a threat? I am a guard of your alpha's pack. This could be classed as treason."

My eye twitches then I state in a sickly sweet voice, "Well, it would be hard for you to be a guard of my alpha's pack considering... I am the alpha." He visibly gulps and moves out of the way instantly.

"S-sorry A-alpha Orion! The dungeon is yours!"

I push him further away and follow the scent to the very end of the hallway until it stops at one particular cell. In the cell, there was a table of torture tools and a boy, the boy was hanging by his hands and his feet barely touched the blood-stained floor. I watched as beads of sweat rolled down his already blood and sweat-drenched body- he was being tortured with wolfs bane. His body was battered with bruises and his wrist was sticking in the wrong direction -possibly from trying to free himself. He was so out of it that he didn't even sense me approaching. When I walk to the entrance, I rip the padlock from the lock and swing the door open so hard that it slams against the cement walls.

I hastily walk over to his torn up body and steady him with one arm as I use the other to release him from his bindings. He whimpers as he falls against my body. I look down at his exhausted figure and my eyes soften. Picking him up bridle-style I walk out with his head resting in my neck. When I reach the top of the stairs I see that the pack had gathered around us. I let out a fierce growl, quieting only when my mate whimpers from the violent shakes erupting from my chest.

The alpha stands there with a nervous expression. "Alpha O-Orion? Wh-at are you doing?" I ignore him and start walking out of his territory. "Alpha Orion!" His voice was bold and stubborn now. "You cannot just waltz into my pack and steal my pack members from me!"

I stop in my spot, still silent and slowly turn around to face a red-faced alpha. "Actually Alpha Lotor, I have every right. This is my mate and with the condition he's in, you're lucky I don't take you to war. Now, I'm going to take my mate to my territory. I am going to leave my warriors here. They will be training your pack for the upcoming rescue mission. I will return once they contact me." He gulps at my completely calm tone and just stands there.

Nodding my head at Jase, I turn away from the pack and immediately take my leave.
