Chapter 44

"I-I. . ." Emily began stuttering as she was faced with the conundrum of wondering how to reply to him. Nervousness shot through Alvin's system and it was sending him warning signals as cold sweat started appearing on his forehead.

"Emy, it is alright, don't force yourself. . ." Even though a smile is plastered on his face, he felt a hint of sadness but he hid it perfectly well. "S-Sorry Alvin, it isn't that I don't have feelings for you, I have been trained to be this way ever since young and I just don't know how to change that." her attention turned towards the plate of food placed in front of her as she said that.

"I understand Emy, don't push yourself to change, I love you for who you are, even if you say you love me or not that won't ever change my love for you." He patted her head as a form of comfort trying to lessen any sort of pain she is feeling, emotional or physical.

"Anyways, let us get back to the date shall we m'lady?"

"Yes, we shall kind sir." Emily giggled and played along.

Ryder's P.O.V

The sound of the door being slammed opened woke me up, Kelly jerked awake and her eyes were bloodshot, she seemed to be in a state of wanting to murder the person who just barged in. Once the door flung open I jumped out of bed ready to attack whoever that person is if he or she meant harm towards Kelly or me.

"Beta Ryder, 2 pack warriors are about to start a fight!" Beck who came bursting in exclaimed.

My mood was totally ruined, my eyes darkened and the look on my face can compete with that of satan. Beck who is still panicking looked at me and he immediately stiffened, his mouth shut and he stood there in total silence waiting for me to go settle the issue.

"Where is alpha Alvin, Ricky, and Carly?" I grabbed onto Kelly's wrist and dragged her out of bed with me, even though she was still groggy from just waking up, she still put up a futile fight. Beck was just there looking at us weird while replying to my question.

"Alpha is on a date with the luna, same goes for the Ricky and Carly."

Great so they can get their alone time but not me, Alvin is going to hear about this when he gets back, I am clearly underpaid for this! Wait, I don't even get paid. I groaned and got tired of Kelly's useless resistance so I did the most logical thing possible, I threw her across my back and carried her down with me.

"LET ME DOWN YOU ASSHOLE?!" She yelled out while hitting me in the back causing me to tighten my grip on her so that she wouldn't fall off due to all her struggling. Her legs were slender and smooth and her ass was just beside my head.

"Touch it, feel it!!!!" Ace my wolf started yelling in my mind.

"Get your head out of the gutter you horn dog, she is our mate and we have to respect her," I said with a sense of justice but was quickly refuted.

"As if you respected her decision, remember the marking?" He smocked and rolled my eyes mentally and fulfilled his wishes. While following behind Beck as he led the way to where the fight is, I've lightly hit kelly's butt causing it to jiggle before returning to its shape.

"BASTARD DON'T YOU TOUCH ME, PUT ME DOWN?!" She started hitting me harder and her attempts of breaking free got stronger which caused me to hit her butt once again.

"Shush or you will get it from me later on." With that, she got quieter and her struggles were reduced by half. Soon we were at the training field where the fight was already taking place, a few warrior wolves were gathering around trying to figure out what was going on while some tried to break up the fight.

"Stop." That was all I needed to say before all eyes were turned towards me, my voice thundered through the field and even Kelly was stunned, I could tell as she gave up resisting and her she seemed to have tensed up.

"Beta, you've got to help me, he slept with my mate?!" The guy who has spikey black hair yelled out while the other guy who has blonde hair raised his hands up in a surrendering position tried to defend himself by explaining.

"That was before you know that she is your mate!"

"Yeah but you've still slept with her before!"

I placed Kelly down onto the ground as she stood there still tensed and fidgeting about but made no attempts on trying to escape which delighted me.

"Are you both trying to cause trouble when the alpha isn't around? Go meet the alpha when he is back. Blacky you will be on cleaning duty for the toilets starting tomorrow and blondie you will be washing all the dirty dishes after every breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the pack house starting tomorrow. Now disperse." My words were clear and simple, everyone nodded even though I was talking to the 2 dumbasses which were a normal thing as people tend to get scared of me when I get angry.

Groups started leaving and training resumed the same goes for the 2 that were fighting.

Kelly's P.O.V

After everyone started dispersing I was totally rooted to the ground, Ryder's yell stunned me as I did not expect him to even be able to be that serious, in my notes I was only able to know that he is a person who is unable to take things seriously and he tends to play around a lot. So the fact that he yelled out that way and with so much authority it was scary but sexy.

His hand reached out towards my face and I flinched but he pushed my hair behind my ear making sure that it wasn't covering my face. Every time he touches me it feels as though fireworks were set off in my body, butterflies flutter in my belly and my heart seems to be racing in the F1 competition.

The mark on my neck seems to be tingly no matter how angry I am at Ryder I simply couldn't bring myself to it as though my emotional system in my brain broke down and I couldn't reboot it. . . Gosh, what is happening to me!?!?
