Chapter 31

The sound of whispers and mumbling woke Emily up from her beauty sleep, her eyes fluttered open and looked to her surroundings, she was currently in an unfamiliar room and there is 3 young kids looking to be about the age of 7 standing right by her bedside.

"Is she our Luna?" The girl with the bob haircut and a cute button nose whispered to the others.

"She is pretty." Another girl standing on her left murmured, while the little boy standing to her right seeming to the youngest as he was the shortest among all 3 nodded in agreement.

Emily was still in a daze and slowly sat up on the bed which startled the kids as they were so engrossed in whispering to one another about Emily.

"S-sorry Luna, we d-did not meant to w-wake you up. . ." The girl in the middle stuttered and the other two looked towards their feet as if they've done something wrong. The little boy spoke up as well. "Sowwy Yuna" his speech wasn't clear and was even a little babyish but it shot an arrow through Emily's heart and couldn't resist how cute the little man is.

"Aww, where are all your mommies?" Emily asked and she was finally fully awake, she looked around and suddenly remembered where she is. She was currently in the room where Carly brought her to and her face flushed red remembering that she fell asleep in Alvin's arms and it was most probably him that brought her back to the room.

"Our mommy is working." The little girl with the bob hair answered, and with that, it brought Emily back to reality.

"Yuna thish ish for yew." The little boy stretched out his hands towards Emily and Emily reacted by doing the same but in a receiving manner, her hand was open and the little boy placed a small shiny object on her palm. Bringing it closer she could now tell that the small shiny object is a sweet with a holographic color sweet wrapper which made it look shiny and pretty.

"Thank you, little guy, my name is Emily by the way, not Yuna, you can call me Em. What are all your names?" She spoke in a soft and gentle way and even reached over and patted him lightly on the head, they all took turns introducing themselves and they even did it in a cute manner.

"I'm Odette." The little girl with the bob hair twirl around while introducing herself just like a ballet dancer, I am assuming she takes ballet as that pirouette she did was perfect.

"I'm Odile." The other girl did a révérence like a pro and Emily gave a small clap for the 2 of them. Emily thought to herself, wow their parents must really like the show swan lake, but what a weird name to give their daughter, isn't Odile the villain? Before she could think up of an answer the little boy started his introduction.

"I'm Lancsh" due to his babyish speech she couldn't really catch what his name really was til Odette helped her understand.

"His name is Lance, he is the youngest among us. I am 8, my sister Odile is 7 and Lance is 5." She smiled and explained. Emily was still sitting on the bed and just as she was about to get up someone came into the room.

"There you guys are!" A familiar voice rang out which caused Emily to towards the door. Carly was standing there with a green face looking like the wicked witch from the wizard of oz, she was fuming with anger and it seemed like it had something to do with the Odette, Odile, and Lance. The moment when Carly stormed into the room, the 3 little cutie pies jumped onto the bed and scrambled under the blanket for cover as though the blanket is able to shield them from all harm in the world.

"Um, may I know what is going on?" Emily was confused and trying hard not to laugh as Carly's face was simply too funny not to have any reaction towards it.

"Those 3 rats did this to me?! Ricky was off leading the group of healers to help the other pack heal up their injuries and I was supposed to take care of these 3 little ass holes and they did this to me, I look as though a bowl of guacamole exploded in my face, and worse off it wouldn't wash off!?!?" She bellowed and seemed as though she was ready to send someone on the highway to hell.

Emily was now even more confused, healers and pack? Her brain couldn't process what was going on so she asked, "What do you mean by healers? Like doctors? And what pack?" Once Emily asked, Carly realized what went wrong and she felt the urge to smack herself.

"Oh it is nothing, healers as in doctors and pack as in bag pack, it is nothing, nothing at all, anyways Odette, Odile, and Lance, let's go, your mom is finding you 3." Carly laughed it off nervously and rushed the 3 little brats to get out of the room so she could deal with those 3 but she did not expect that by saying their mom was looking for them was such an effective way to get them out.

"Mommy!" The 3 of them yelled out in unison and climbed out from under the blanket and made a beeline out of the room.

"Alright then I will go get them back to their mother and don't worry about school, Alvin already informed the school that you will be on break for 1 month and due to your awesome grades they approved it, anyway, see you around." Carly was almost running and if she could she surely will do it. She got out of the room and went after the 3 kids hoping hay Emily wouldn't ponder much about what she said. Shucks, she messed up really bad.

Emily was now left alone in the room and the silence and serenity was back once more, she was now curious about what was truly happening and what was with Carly's behavior, she got out of bed and only had 1 intention in mind to find out what is going on, how could they underestimate her, she is after all an Aril level assassin, information collecting is as simple a task just like ABCs to her.
