Chapter 0: How it all began

My name is Celaena Everdark and this is my story. In order to make it clear I will start from the beginning. One day at school when I was only eight years old I witnessed a feud between two children from families with big corporations. The fight ended in one of them dying and in order to silence me the one still living stacked evidence against me, paid people off to lie, and I'm pretty sure they bribed my family. I spent ages preparing a defense which would easily prove my innocence and expose the truth at the same time but before the trial even started I was kicked out of the house by my parents. I spent half a year living in the cold before my body started breaking down. A group of powerful warriors saw what I was going through and decided to put me out of my misery but I saw an opportunity. Through sheer force of will I was able to disarm the attacker and knock him unconscious after which I told the leader of that group of warriors (Who turned out to be Ras al ghul) that he should take me with him and that I would train harder and be more loyal than any warrior. At the age of nine I was the weakest disciple in the league. At the age of twelve I was stronger than all in the league except Nyssa, Talia, and Ras. At the age of fifteen I defeated Nyssa in a match. At the age of eighteen I defeated Talia in a match. At the age of twenty one I defeated Ras in a match. At the age of twenty two due to me refusing to kill Ras he had everyone in the league fight me. I was able to knock every last member unconscious while sustaining no injuries. When he woke up I reiterated that I would be loyal to the cause and would do anything else he asked of me but I would never kill him. It's been one week since that day and I am finally being sent on my first mission back to my home city of New York to find and kill major criminals that Ras finds to be a threat. This is where the prologue of my story ends and the true story begins.
