Chapter 31: An Intense Auction

Yuusei and Noctis went inside the Auction House together, wearing their disguises.

They went to the counter of the Auction House, and presented the three legendary class items to the sexy and attractive girl wearing a tight fitted adventurer's clothes that exposed her flawless skin and sexy body who is seated behind the counter.

The girl's eyes widened in surprise at the sight of the three items.

"The mace, pendant, and coat are normally items dropped by minibosses after they die. To think someone managed to change the class from Rare to Legend class. This will definitely cause an uproar among the elite players. Are these the items that you want auctioned off? "

The girl asked with a questioning glance at the two.

" Yes it is. I'm Tabito, the one who changed the class of these items, and the person here beside me is Lelouch. Here is the initial payment of gems. "

Yuusei introduced both himself and Noctis to the girl, while he placed a pouch full of gems at the counter right in front of the girl.

" Seeing that you two good sirs are elite ooplayers and can afford to shell out this much money, this Auction House will treat you as VIPs. I'll assign you a premium room at the top floor, so you can watch the auction going on with ease. You can also bid for any items you want at the auction. I'm Oshe Mina. It's a pleasure to meet you. "

The girl extended a hand for the two to shake.

Both Noctis and Yuusei shook Oshe's hand.

" Someone will bring you to your room now. I'll excuse myself, as I got an auction to conduct. "

Oshe stood up, placed the three items into her inventory, and walked to a side door to make preparations for holding the auction.

Sure enough, another attractive girl named Yurika Mina showed up to show the two men into their room.

When they went up to the top floor, Noctis noted that even though the Auction House doesn't use modern technology, the magic is advanced, and couldn't help but wonder at the advanced teleporters that help guests and the auction house staff move up and down the entire building through teleportation magic.

I wonder what magic the auction host uses so she can be heard while speaking? Telepathy? Some sort of sound amplifying magic?

Noctis thought to himself, but got shaken off his thoughts when he noticed a girl's hand waving right in front of him.

"Hey, Lelouch, snap back to your senses and pay attention. I know you're wondering about the magic the auction house uses, but the auction is about to start. I'm Yurika Mina, by the way. Tell me when you need anything."

Yurika said, while seated beside Noctis.

" I get it now, Yurika, so put your hand down. Are you the younger sister of Oshe? You both have the same last name. "

Noctis asked, while putting Yurika's hand down, and teasingly flirting with her by holding her hand and looking at her with a tender gaze in his eyes, making Yurika blush right in front of Noctis.

" Ugh. You're such a flirt, Noctis. Focus on the auction, not on the attractive girl right beside you. You can flirt all you want after we sell the three items ."

Yuusei, who sat in a chair right behind the two, lectured Noctis in a condescending tone.

Noctis looked around the Auction House.

He is surprised to see that the rooms around the Auction House are filled.

Noctis guessed that there are even more outside, wanting to take a peek at the items being sold.

He knew that Auction Houses all over the stages in RPG Fantasia can sometimes get filled when an unusual item gets auctioned, but to experience it upfront gives off a different feeling.

"You surprised, Lelouch? This is your first time here, so it's understandable. The three items you auctioned off can be considered as the main attraction of this Auction House already."

Yurika explained, while looking sweetly at Noctis.

"By the looks of it, it looks like all the VIP rooms of this Auction House are filled with elite players, or else their minions."

Yuusei commented.

"Your analysis is correct, Tabito. They are likely here to buy the three items you auctioned off."

Yurika added.

Their conversation was cut off when they heard a lady's voice.

"To the players who came to buy items in our Auction House, the auction is now officially open."

They could feel a sense of excitement and unease rippling all over the auction house, as the players couldn't wait to get their hands into the items being auctioned off.

"The first item on this auction is a pair of daggers  made from the fangs of a basilisk. The blade of these daggers are coated with basilisk venom, which can reduce the enemy's Hp by 2 % every time the wielder lands a hit on the target. The starting bid price is 3,000 gems. "

" I bid 4,000 gems for these daggers. "

" 5,000"

"I bid 8,000 gems for these daggers."

"16,000"

"20,000"

Noctis could hear the minions of the elite players and elite guilds who flocked to the auction house going at it neck to neck, trying to outbid each other.

He viewed the system information on the dagger.

"Basilisk Daggers

Rare Class Dagger

Durability:  60%

Attack Speed: 79 %

Critical Hit:80%

Attack Strength: 84 %

This weapon has an 80% chance of poisoning the target, and the blades of these daggers are coated with basilisk venom, which are extremely poisonous to both humans and mythical creatures. "

" Meh, let those ants fight over it. My own dragon-fire coated spear lasts forever, has a 100% chance of burning the target, and can sap Hp faster than this. "

" The final bid for this dagger goes to the player who bid 35,000 gems. Congratulations on obtaining the Basilisk Daggers. "

" The next item to be auctioned is a sword made from the skeleton of a 500 year old  white tiger. It is said to greatly boost the speed, strength, and attack speed of the wielder. The starting bid is 10,000 gems. "

" I bid 12,000 gems."

"15,000"

"18,000"

"25,000 gems"

"30,000"

"35,000"

40,000"

45,000"

I bid 100,000 gems. Anyone else who wants to challenge me? "

" 160,000"

"The final bid for this sword goes to the player who bid 160,000 gems. Congratulations on obtaining the White Tiger Sword."

Interesting. So an auction can get this intense, just like what my father and brother once said before. But the items are so low quality they're only fitting for ants. I'm only there to enjoy the show, not fight tooth and nail for some trash weapons and items. I wonder how much my items will fetch? 3 million gems? A hundred million? We'll see later, since they'll be bound to be the main attraction that the most elite among the elite players and guilds will be bound to fight over.

Noctis thought to himself.
