Chapter 21: A Heart To Heart Talk With Bianca

When Raymond returned back to the fort of the werewolves, he went straight to the kitchen to see what the servants were cooking.

He could smell the aroma of roast meat wafting into the air from his direction.

He knew in an instant who was around in the garden.

His eldest sister, Bianca Collins, the current leader of their wolf pack.

He knew that she was probably drinking a few bottles of beer again in the garden.

He appeared into the kitchen, and requested some roast meat to match that of his sister.

He also had some beer delivered straight to the garden.

Then he went straight to the garden, and sure enough, he spotted Bianca drinking a bottle of beer.

"That's quite unusual of you to be drinking this early, Bianca. Is something the matter?"

Raymond said with a hint of concern in his voice as he opened his bottle of beer, sat down beside Bianca, and started drinking.

"Yes, there is, brother. You're good at reading me. It's just that I've had a lot to deal with lately. You know managing a wolf pack is hard. Father is always busy. I wish he was there to manage the wolf pack instead."

Raymond couldn't help but burst out laughing instead.

"Are you out of your mind, Bianca? You know father is in the panel of Game Administrators. You are the reason why he doesn't communicate much with the wolf pack. Your actions in the past caused us to go into an unwanted war with the vampires. You should have steered clear of Morrigan that bitch in the first place. Do you even know why father made you the leader of the wolf pack in spite of everything that you caused? That's his way of correcting you, and teaching you discipline and not acting recklessly. I'm not in a good mood today. Don't worsen it and make me feed you to the enemies. "

Raymond immediately interjected Bianca before she got the chance to add to what she said earlier.

Then he took a long swig from his beer bottle.

A few minutes of awkward silence ensued between the two of them before Bianca broke the ice.

"So how did your meeting with that witch go? I know you want Chiyo Chinen and the witches wiped out, or at least made to answer for what they did to Ayami. If you want them wiped out, then start making moves to do so."

"I'm already on it. Do you think it's as easy as counting to do what I need to do? No, it's far more complicated than that. There are a lot of players and the entire Necromancer Guild involved in this. It's all about playing mind games and being one step ahead of the enemy. Don't over-exert yourself when managing the wolf pack, sister. "

Just in time, the roasted meat both of them requested arrived from the kitchen.

Both of them dug into their meal while eating and drinking.

" It's fucking ironic to note that you, who used to be the black sheep of the family, ends up making me see the reality when I'm supposed to be older than you."

Bianca drank from her beer afterward.

"Hmph. So who's the black sheep all along? It was you all along, sister. I was right all along. And yet you had the nerves to spoil my plan and switch my name with yours on the first place of the successor candidates for the main leadership for the wolf pack. It isn't all fun, games, and flexing of power in the end, is it? You even cozied up with the goddess of death bitch without digging around on what they're actually up to. "

"You were indeed correct all along, brother. I was in the wrong. I apologize for everything I did back then. While you fought your way up the ranks and into the Gamer Guild, and trying to look out for the werewolf pack here I was, squandering my time to the disappointment of Father and the clan elders. "

"I've already forgiven you a long time ago, Bianca. It is to Father whom you must ask forgiveness to. The last time I saw him, he couldn't help but keep on mentioning your name and what you have become. I should let you come along with me sometime, so the both of you can have some serious father-daughter talk. "

Raymond placed a comforting arm on Bianca's shoulder.

"What happened in the past, stays in the past, Bianca. I've moved on already and is currently focusing on the present, while preparing for what the future might bring. I think you should do the same as me. It will bring you a whole lot of good. I attest to it."

He said calmly to Bianca.

"Thanks for your words, brother. It's exactly what I've been doing. I'm hoping you'd realize that sooner or later. The moment I realized my mistakes, I helped to end the vampire-werewolf war in my own small ways, with the help of people I know personally. I know you're aware of that already. I helped the Collins werewolf clan to recover and double most of the wealth, strength, power and glory. It's time we finished eating and drinking. You have yet to read the information given to you by Asuka Enomoto, correct?"

Then they both ate and drank in silence until they finished eating.

Raymond excused himself first, then he went up to his room to read the scrolls that Asuka gave to him earlier.

As started reading the contents of the scrolls, past memories of Ayami and the Gamer Guild washed over him once again.

Bittersweet memories that he knew will never return.

Ayami, along with the Gamer Guild, are both gone forever, only to be relived in painful memories he wished he could forget.

He could feel a mixture of rage, sorrow, and regret well up, and waiting to burst from deep within.

Feelings that he once thought he had long buried, never to resurface.

He was wrong.

And the only thing he can do now, is to look out for himself, for Rebecca Hudgens , and the elite blacksmith while dishing out revenge on those who had his most dearest and closest friend killed in a suicide mission.
