1 PROLOG

My name is Kiara, born to an extraordinary mother. I grew up without knowing a father figure, but it doesn't make me feel lost because my mother has played an important role in being a parent figure to me.

My peaceful world had to be shattered because of the presence of a man I couldn't accept at all.

My youth, and my dreams, were shattered by the selfishness of the man I was obsessed with. This is not the kind of love I want. Not this man I expected. No, it's not like this is my dream.

Rude, cruel, and selfish. But this man is my husband. Someone I don't want. The figure that locked me in a golden cage.

A love that I can't understand and also that I can't feel. Does love exist or is it just a word?
