Girls are Strong

Two girls about the same age as Cain, came out of the carriage, supported

by a maid.

Both of them were trembling and holding each other's hand. The shrine

maiden was trembling as well.

They looked around and saw the orc corpses, the dead knights, and the

heavily injured knights that made them turn pale.

One of the girls had a blonde hair up to her shoulders, while the other girl

had brown hair up to her chest. Both the girls were dressed like noble

children.

The moment he saw their faces, Garm showed a surprised look and then

quickly headed to the blonde girl and bowed in respect.

Cain takes the same posture.

"Cain, this here is her highness, Princess Telestia, and Miss Silk."

I thought it was an aristocratic daughter, but Cain was surprised in mind

that the blonde girl was a princess.

"Thank you, Margrave Garm, for helping me out in the dangerous

situation."

Princess Telestia and Miss Silk gave polite greetings albeit trembling, with

the maid.

They continuously stared at Cain

"Cain, this here is the third princess, Princess Telestia Terra Esfort, and the

second daughter of Duke Santana, Silk von Santana."

Cain also stood up and introduced himself.

"I'm Gracia's third son, Cain von Sylford. Forgive me for the grotesque

display, but I have a magic that can alleviate your discomfort. Would you

mind if I used it?"

Cain concentrated his magic powers on his fingers and cast his magic.

"Calming Aura."

The light enveloped the two girls and the maid and disappeared.

Looking up at Cain with a smile, Her Highness and Miss Silk's cheeks were

dyed red.

"Cain-sama, thank you for helping out earlier. I was terrified. I thought that

my life was going to end."

Princess Telestia took Cain's hand and held it between her arms.

"Ah, so sly! Cain, thank you so much. I was watching you shoot magic and

display your sword skills from the carriage's window; you looked so cool."

Silk also took Cain's hand and thanked him.

Seeing them holding Cain's hand, Garm began laughing.

Later, the maid who came with Princess Telestia was also introduced and

thanked Cain as well. As expected, she didn't hold Cain's hand like the

other two girls.

"When the guardian knights fell down, I thought that our lives were going

to end. Cain is strong. To be able to subjugate 30 orcs alone; that's amazing!

Using both magic and swordsmanship, I was really impressed."

Silk looked at Cain amazingly.

"But why are you here?"

Garm's question caught her tongue.

"Teles… I mean, Princess Telesia and I were going to the introduction party

in the capital from my home in the malpeque region," she managed to

answer.

"Well, then since their age is about the same as Cain's, and seeing that

we're going in the same direction, how about we go to the capital

together?" Gram asked.

The two girls agreed, accepting the invitation.

Then, he processed with wrapping the monster corpses and the dead knight

in white sheets.

Cain didn't want to show much to Princess Telestea and Miss Silk, so he

got on the carriage first.

"Are you sure you just want me to carry the monster materials? How about

I also carry the dead knights as well?"

Cain suggested to the remaining knights.

"It doesn't matter, but how do you plan on carrying this amount of stuff?"

The knights wondered.

Cain took a quick look at Garm.

Garm silently nodded.

Cain touched the monster's corpse, and the monsters disappeared.

While saying the chant, Cain kept on storing the corpses in the item box one

after another.

He also stored knights wrapped in white sheets.

The remaining knights thanked Cain.

"I'm grateful. I planned on burying them here. But now I can reunite them

with their families," one of the knights said.

"Let's go now. Our carriage will be ahead."

Garm said and started walking towards his carriage.

Cain also rushed and tried to enter the carriage, however.

"Can I have a moment, please?"

Her Highness, Princess Telestia called out.

"We are worried about being alone, so I want Cain to be with us in our

carriage."

both sides.

After they completed the reception at the entrance of the royal city, they

entered from the gate for the nobility.

Cain thought that he would finally be released and told them.

Cain's wish to be released was destroyed but thinking about the corpses in

along the way.

At the entrance of the Royal Castle, after parting with Telestia and Silk,

Cain arrived at the Knights' cemetery, where a knight wearing white silver

armour came out. He was a handsome man with red hair in his late

twenties.

"I heard from the knights who came back. I thank you on their behalf for

protecting them. And I apologise for having you carry my dead brothers

home," The fiery-haired man said.

"Cain von Sylford, the third son of Gracia. The knights bravely confronted

the orcs to protect them. They fought bravely," Cain said.

"Thank you for saying that. Let's pick it up."

After the short conversation, Cain placed the knights wrapped in white

sheets in the designated place.

Usually, if a knight dies on duty, someone will take a piece of his equipment

as a memento for his family, and the body would either be buried on the

side of the road or burned on the spot.

After a moment of silence and praying, Cain decided to head to another

house in the Sylford family in the capital.

"I'll take my leave for now."
