1 chapter 1 the arena games

Tim is a really malnourished, 26 year old, in the country of Moundoria. He was sitting on the bed, in his room, which was in the old family farm. When some guards came in and arrested him with no warning. Now he's waiting in a locked cell for his punishment to come, when a guard came and shouted,

"HEY! Come with me." 

As Tim followed the guard, they stopped at a storage room, which was filled with weapons. 

"Go in," says the guard. the guard opened a locked steal door, Tim went in and he saw weapons and Tim asked, "What are they for."

The guard replied, "You will choose one of them and fight with it."

"But I don't know how to fight," said Tim.

"Well don't worry you'll be taught the basics so you won't die, too quickly," said the guard with a smirk.

As Tim looked at the weapons, he saw one that looked like it was a tool he used back on the farm, called a scythe but smaller and with a chain at the end. "What is this weapon called." He asked as he pointed to one of the weapons.

The guard replied "That's a Kusarigama."

(This is the author talking right now and to let you know I have no idea how this weapon works so if I mess some things with this weapon please tell and I will change it in a future chapter so please don't get mad at now back to the story)

"The Kusarigama is used for medium to short range combat, with a chain, that has a small and smooth ball on the end that is made from iron, and a Kama, on the other side," said the guard "Now come with me" as a second guard came 

Tim followed the second guard to a training room, who handed Tim a kusarigama "Ok I will now try and teach you the basics of the kusarigama and the rest of the skills you will have to teach yourself." As the guard prepared something, "First you need to know how to use the Kama on the end of this weapon," said the guard. "The Kama can be used to attack or block."

The guard went to grab a wooden long sword from the wall, "Now try to block or attack with the Kama." As the guard went for an attack, Tim raced the Kama part of his weapon to try and block it but he ,missed. The guard hit him on the head and looked at Tim saying, "Now we try again but this time actually block it." 

Tim tried to focus on blocking the attacks but when he did he didn't do it quick enough and got hit on the head again. This he went through for a few days. Tim could block some of the attacks but still needed more work. 

After Tim got the basic of blocking with the Kama they went into attacking with it. For attacking they gave him a fake wooden version so it didn't hurt the guard. "Come at be and show me what you got," says that guard. Tim charges at him with full force and goes for the attack. The guard blocks it with his long wooden sword, making Tim fall onto the ground. They spent the next two days getting the basics of attacking down before they moved onto the next part.

The guard looked at Tim. "It's time we move onto the ball and chain. You can wrap the chain around things to get your enemy's weapon out of their hands. You could also get it wrap around their legs to make them fall or trip them. You can also get them tangled in the chain. So are you ready to try using the end side of the Kusarigama?" As the guard grabs his wooden long sword he yells to Tim, "NOW IT IS TIME WE FIGHT."

The guard and Tim trained with the ball and chain for at least three to four days until they moved onto using both side, also known as the kusarigama.

"Let's try the kusarigama. I won't tell or teach you anymore after this," says the guard. Tim looked at him saying, "What is your name sir"

"Mine name? Well it's Pool," says Pool.

"It was nice to practice with you Pool."

"You to Tim but now, we fight." 

Pool went with a top slice, Tim blocked it while getting his chain around Pools arm. Pool stepped back before he got ensnared in Tim's trap. Tim went for a chin hit with the Kama part, Pool tried to block it with his Long wooden sword but it got tangled in the chain. Tim pulled on the chain disarming Pool. Pool grabbed out a second weapon and went with a charge at Tim. Tim got Pools arm caught in the chain. Tim tried to get Pools ankle but he missed and fell hitting the floor. Just as Tim got up, a bell ring and they stopped.

"I guess it's time for you to go out and fight, for real. Good luck because you are going to need it. You will be fighting with real weapons against people who won't hold back, so don't die out there, Tim," says Pool putting his wooden long sword up.

"Don't worry I won't die out there today. I want to fight with you again, so see ya" said Tim with a smile walking to his spot.

Pool still did not look Tim in the eye because he knew that Tim was not ready for the fight and would probably die out there. "Well have fun out there but not to much fun," Pool says as Tim was leaving. "I will," Tim yelled to pool.
