Chp 8-Liam likes her?

Day 5

I got up early and went to the deck because the last time during this time we got shipwrecked and I didn't want that to happen. When I got there I saw Leyla, staring out into the blue paradise. I didn't feel like talking to her so I went to the other side of the ship. As I looked out into the ocean I started feeling relaxed which was odd considering the situation and plus I had started missing Liam very much...

I think we all know what I mean but I don't want to accept it as he is my best friend after all and I don't want to lose him. 

"Want this drink," asked someone behind me. It was Liam! Oh wait I thought it was him but then I closed my eyes and opened them again and show that it was a fellow worker. "No thank you," I replied. And all of a sudden I had started seeing him everywhere! Hundreds and thousands of them up on the ship and more.. My head was spinning until I heard a voice call me from behind. "Are you okay?" asked Isabelle. "Umm...Ye-yeah I am f-fine," I replied stuttering. She just looked at me. 

"Liam and Mia?" said Isabelle. "What? No its nothing like that-"

"No silly look behind you!"

It was them, both Mia and Liam on a boat, big enough for two people. "How did you get here?" I asked. 

"When you left us behind we obviously couldn't just sit there so we decided to go to the island as well," said Liam looking at me and I started blushing, thank God nobody noticed. Leyla was behind us now and said, "Wow look what we got here, the whole squad! Get them up," she said and pointed two men to help them get on this ship. 

"But how did you where to go or where to start?" I asked Liam. "Oh it was simple. Your books plus we went to your house and found a map leading us here." 

"Oh." 

"Since when did you start wearing necklaces," said Isabelle pointing to the necklace that Mia was wearing. It was a shiny golden necklace with the letter L in the middle. "Yeah Mia where did you get it? Its beautiful!" I said. 

"Umm," Liam was nervous. 

"What is it?"

"We are together now," said Mia quickly and looked down. "What?" asked Isabelle. 

"We are together now," said Liam this time instead of Mia. Me and Isabelle looked at them for a few seconds but then Isabelle leaped towards them. "Wow you guys this is great. When did this happen?" asked Isabelle excitedly. 

"Its a long story...maybe some other time as we have got things to do?" said Liam. "Yeah ok but I want to know all about this," said Isabelle pointing at them and smirking. Mia blushed. 

"Yay its cool I guess," I said sadly trying to look happy. "Is something wrong," asked Liam. "No everything is fine, everything is just FINE. I have to go and talk to Leyla about something," I said getting away from them. I didn't know what to say. I for once in my life have felt that way but it all ended before it started. I was heartbroken and extremely devastated but at the same time Mia was my best friend I couldn't just ignore her forever. I would have to tell her at some point. Leyla saw everything and came to me. "This is exactly why I stopped believing in people and you should too. Do everything for yourself and get over it!" she said which I guess was to cheer me up but it definitely did not. "What do you mean?" 

"Nevermind..coffee?" she asked me handing me a cup of coffee. "Why are you being so nice?" I asked. "You really think that I am mean? Haha... I can be nice too." 

I think I had started liking her slightly, she seemed fun if only she wasn't taking us back to the island. She got a little bit closer to me, "I did not see anything either yesterday just like you and the reason why I didn't want to accept it was because I was truly scared," she said. "You were?" I asked laughing. "Yes of course! Losing everyone on the ship? No, its not worth it but I am determined to go there and I will."

"Who knows it might not be worth it because that island is not just any island, its creepy and vicious," I said trying to convince her to stop. "Whatever."

I went back to my room and sat down on the bed with my head in my hands. I couldn't get the figure of Mia and Liam out of my head. 

"One room will be fine, trust me," I heard someone say outside the door. I opened it and saw Liam and Mia talking to a tall guy standing in front of them. "Whats going on here?" I asked stepping forward. "They want us to be in two separate rooms but-." 

"So, what's wrong with that?" I asked cutting Mia off. "Yes, let me finish. The other room is dirty and the bed is broken. How is Liam supposed to stay there?" she said. 

"Liam could share the room with me," I blurred out without thinking twice. They both looked at me weirdly. "I-I meant Mia could share the room with me," I said quickly. "No Amelia, its fine. I would like to spend some time my my-."

"Ok I don't care," I said cutting Liam off and closing my room's door behind me. I once again sat in bed with my head in my hands but this time with big tears rolling out of my eyes. I missed Liam and wanted to see him but not in this way. He seemed so in love with her and I was an ordinary person to him. I grabbed a pillow, bought it to my mouth and screamed in anger and then laid down in bed thinking when this nightmare will be over! Someone knocked at my door and I went to open it, it was Liam...

"Hey are you ok? You seem a bit off," he asked. 

"Everything is fine," I said closing the door but he stopped it. "No everything is not fine, tell me. I am your best friend. Come on!"

"Liam I said everything is fine, can you just leave?" I said in an annoyed tone. 

"Not until you tell me what's up with you?"

"It's not like you care so leave?"

"You are jealous of Mia aren't you?" he asked smirking. 

"What? No, Liam just go please."

"Jealous that now I wouldn't spend enough time with you but you are wrong. I will always be here for you Amelia," he said making eye contact with me. 

"Liam....," I said and then closed the door. 

"Amelia!" I heard him say outside. I knew what I was doing was wrong as I might lose my friendship with both Liam and Mia but I needed some time to process everything that happened..
