Monsterphilia III

As Nox and Tiona joined Tione and Lefiya who had gone ahead, changes were immediately noticed as the two girls noticed the obvious linking of arms and the beaming smile stamped on Tiona's beautiful face.

Lefiya was full of question marks and extremely tempted to wander off into fantasizing land as she so dearly enjoyed to do on a regular basis.

Tione on the other hand, eyed the pair of newly minted lovers suspiciously and with no small amount of envy as she knew her sister had just gotten with Nox what she was beginning to realize she'd never get with Finn.

Tiona realized this, looking smugly at her twin over her success in love despite the hated mounds of fat that she always envied her sister for.

Tione wanted to blow up but that would only make her defeat even more complete and utter so she bottled up the jealousy and, once she did, she began feeling happy that her dearest person in the world had found love and managed to actually get together with the guy.

"Congrats." Was all she said and Tiona just beamed with happiness.

Lefiya was also envious, not due to her lack of success in love in general but due to the fact Tiona had gotten together with Nox specifically, one of the targets of her own fantasies alongside Ais.

She was not discouraged however, as she knew Tiona was far from Nox's only woman and that meant she still had a chance to become his as well.

As such, she honestly gave her congratulations as well, all the while plotting in her cute little head how to snag a piece of Nox's heart for herself like Tiona had apparently just done.

The trip around the festival then continued as normal other than the irritation to the two loverless women due to Tiona's constant flirting with Nox.

He tried to tone it down as he realized the discomfort they were causing but the amazon was far to excited about their new relationship to care as she bared her passion for the world to see without any concern.

Still, despite the sugary overdose, Tione and Lefiya still managed their own fun and soon, they both grinned in satisfaction.

Why? One might ask.

It was because after a lunch where Tiona's "being all over Nox" was particularly annoying, the group went to the colosseum where the beast taming show occurred, in which Nox was going to participate.

Their satisfaction came from prying an unwilling Tiona off of Nox as unrelated personal were not allowed in the preparation areas for the performers where Nox went.

As such, it was with much delight that the two girls vented their morning and lunch frustrations by gleefully dragging Tiona away while Nox went off to meet with the Ganesha Familia and Guild personnel with a wry smile on his face.

He eventually found Shakti, the captain of the Ganesha Familia, and the vice-captain Ilta Farna talking with Rose Fannett who other than being Nox's liaison with the Guild over his taming exploits, also ended up a trusted go between with the Ganesha familia over the Monsterphilia.

What surprised Nox however, was that Eina was also there. While the red haired werewolf certainly belonged, Eina was just his advisor and wasn't really involved in in the current events.

His surprise quickly turned to fear once the girls noticed his presence and the two guild employees locked him in with a glare that left the two Ganesha Familia adventurers confused. Ilta seemed to be looking forward to a shuraba though.

Unfortunately for her, without even giving Nox a chance to recompose himself and greet everyone, Rose and Eina apologized to Shakti and Ilta before draggin Nox away into a small room for a "serious talk".

It was then that it occurred to him that the two girls before him didn't really get any real explanation from him over his temporary retreat from dungeoneering and what had happened during the Loki Familia Expedition.

It was a problem indeed and one he should have dealt with before it exploded on his face as he suspected was about to happen.

Eina was quite overprotective over those in her charge after the rather unfortunate death of the adventurer she had previously advised and so, she was very adverse to Nox taking risks.

He had mitigated this by proving he was always in control, revealing part of his capabilities and assuring her that the risks he took were always calculated ones which partially reassured her and greatly diminished her nagging.

On Rose's side, she was someone who refused getting to involved with adventurers due to her fear of them dying and leaving her to deal with the loss so she was initially very distant despite the attraction she had for Nox, especially as he got older.

His persistence and the Guild ,aking her work with him and not letting her avoid him however, led to them getting much closer and though they were far from lovers, neither of them would hesitate to call the other a very good friend despite them not spending that much time together on a daily basis.

What made this possible was also the fact that Rose had come to know that truly killing Nox was a very, very difficult endeavour which assuaged a great deal of her concerns.

Alas, the incident with the evolved Demi Spirit had reminded the girls that Nox was in fact, not infallible, he could make mistakes and miscalculations and though he minimized the chances of it happening with preparation, he also took many risks that increased the odds of such an occurrence.

The fact that Nox had yet to shed light on events and discuss what had happened to him with them also left a bad taste and the two girls were now intent on squeezing him for it . . .
