Monsterphilia I

Time trickled by until morning came and Nox was ready for a new day after waking up to a truly wonderful surprise . . .

He had woken up to the hot and wet experience of Loki "servicing" him under the sheets. Now why was this such a surprise? Had they never done it before?

Of course Loki had "taken care" of him in such a way before. The surprise, was the fact Loki had actually woken up before him, something which had never happened before.

Still, it was a pleasant surprise no doubt and after a morning quicky that took way longer than a quickie should, Nox bade farewell to his beloved goddess who was a bit ragged due to his "care" and left to meet with the Hiryute sisters and Lefiya so as to go to the Monsterphilia.

"Morning ladies." Nox greeted as he met them by the Twilight manor's entrance.

"Good morning." Lefiya greeted back.

"Hey." Tione followed up.

"You're not usually late. What's up?" Tiona greeted Nox. Clearly, she was intent on pretending her previous night's embarrassment didn't at all take place.

"Just uhh, hashing some things out with Loki." Nox replied.

"Loki awake at this hour?" Tione sounded shocked.

"I know right? What a surprise." Nox agreed.

"Let's get going shall we?" He suggested to which the three agreed.

"Are you going to participate in this Monsterphilia as well Nox-san?" Lefiya asked.

"Right! I also wanted to know!" Tiona enthusiastically supported the young elfess.

"As a matter of fact yes." Nox confirmed.

His arena showings with Luna and Ash had already become a Monsterphilia staple and the Ganesha Familia would not forgive him if he backed out.

"If you want, I'm sure I can get you backstage." Nox offered.

"Sounds cool."

"Might as well."

"I will be happy to take you upon you offer."

Tiona, Tione and Lefiya each responded positively in turn.

The arena show was only in the afternoon however and so, the trio went around Orario njoy stall food and just seeing the various attractions that had been set up, stuff like fair games mostly.

All the while, Nox was paying close attention to his surrounding with Spirit Pulse, wondering whether some chaos would break out and stop the festivities.

He was pretty sure the whole debacle in the original series happened in the morning before the Arena show has Freya had released the monsters in the holding areas which would be emptied in the afternoon.

Although the goddess had no reason to do such a thing this time around, the Violas that popped up in the city also did so around the same time the other monsters rampaged so there was a chance.

Fortunately or unfortunately, no such event took place this time around which left Nox pondering on why that was before arriving at a pretty solid conclusion.

'Maybe it was the rampaging monsters that stimulated the Violas hiding in the sewers which caused them to surface.' He mentally deduced.

"So with no monsters this time around, the Violas are keeping quietly under the city with no one remaining none the wiser." He concluded.

Since no such event was likely to occur, Nox just decided to lay back and enjoy the festival like everyone else, pushing the matters of Enyo and company for later.

Speaking of enjoying the festival, Nox was not the only one whose focus was not entirely on the festival itself.

While Lefiya seemed to be enjoying her time, Tione followed her around a bit distracted but still somewhat into it. It was Tiona however that seemed far more interested in Nox than the festival going on around them.

Nox figured the amazon was under the impression that she was being sneaky about it but it sure was painfully obvious to him how she kept glancing his way. Hell, her stare was so intense that he could literally feel it even when he had his back turned to her.

Intentionally slowing down a bit to make some distance from Tione and Lefiya, Nox held Tione back and confronted her.

"So what's all this staring about? Want to say something?" He asked her with a raised eyebrow.

"Uh, what staring?" Tiona played bump.

Nox just looked at her with a face that had "Seriously?" written all over it.

"Was I that obvious?" Tiona muttered with a pout.

"Your stare was intense enough for a dead man to feel it from the afterlife." Nox pointed out to her.

"It wasn't that bad!" Tiona complained.

"Right. Whatever you say. Need to tell me something? Or were you just enjoying my good looks a little bit to much?" Nox questioned, his narcissism slipping a bit into his inquiry.

"What if I was just enjoying your good looks?" Tiona made a feeble attempt to tease him.

'Foolish girl! I have long graduated from being affected by such low level teasing.' Nox smugly thought to himself.

"Then keep enjoying them but a bit more discreetly." He simply replied, making the amazon who wanted to his him embarrassed, even if just a little bit, quite disappointed.

Nox internally smirked and turned around to rejoin the other two members of their group who had pulled away quite a bit from them by now.

Suddenly however, Tiona grabbed from behind.

"Wait!" She said with a light blush before dragging him away to a deserted alley nearby.

Nox thought it was a bit rude to ditch in the other two just like that but his curiosity over what Tiona had in mind won out and led to him just going with the flow and letting her pull him away.

After some measure of privacy was achieved, the amazon stared right into Nox's eyes with a burning gaze before taking a deep breath . . .
